Perverse Generation

Acts 2: 40 Save yourselves from this perverse generation.
Brethren, the hour is late in the
day, therefore, do not delay putting off your salvation. We see we are being surrounded on every side
with uncleanliness and ungodliness. We
see the quarrels and disputes even amongst those of his own. We see so many blind as to the hour we live
in. Some notice but do not care. Some notice and make no amendment. You are the only one who can control your own
actions. Thus, apply all of your time
into pleasing God and turning form the world.
Save yourself. And if you would
be so willing to follow in the Ways of Selfless Love do your best to make
reparation for the conversion of sinners.
We are truly living in the endtimes,
the Days of Lot, wherein just a FEW were granted “leave” yet one looked behind
and was turned to a pillar of salt. Do
not look back at this world but look ahead to the next. Move from one act of the heart to the next;
one prayer to the next. Do not be busied
with idle talk nor the latest goings on around the world. What will it profit a man to see the whole
world with his carnal eye and lose his eternal soul for failing to keep his
inner eye on the next? We are in exile
this is true but there are some who would rather enjoy the scenery of this life
than to devote themselves to prayer in preparation for the next. Save yourselves.
The path to union is laced with
pain. This is undeniable for the Cross
is the only way. From one Cross to the
next we move. But if your heart is
intentioned on pleasing God then your heart will expand and love to
suffer. It wont look to run from the
Cross but rather to unite it to the Cross.
Tests, trials and tribulations; the 3 T’s are our foundation to a life
of spiritual growth. In all of these we
must unite our wills to His. Anxiety
often due to impatience and fear due to a love of self. In the Book of Acts we see this calling out
to save one self from a perverse generation.
The same cry can be heard from heaven today. Do not fall due to wandering eyes and
curiosity. Keep on the narrow path of
pain which is leading you to true security.
Seek to hide behind Christ is union rather than hiding behind pride and
excuses as to why you will not embrace the Cross.
He saved others but couldn’t save
Himself. Do not be a faithless Jew and
echo these same words. Christ was
Selfless and wanted to give Himself up for us but will we do the same for
Him? Can we make little acts of love
daily which can then grow into bigger ones?
The model has been laid down for us.
The path is hard to find especially in our perverse generation. It is one with will end with the Hand of God
demonstrating to the world that He is in control not man. In the end, save yourselves first my good
friends before attempting to try and save another. For you cannot truly give what is first not
had nor can you help another without walking first this path of Pain. From self to the Sacred Heart. Where are you on this timeline of
charity? Every eagle must learn to love
silence and solitude for you must turn from man and the world before ever
hearing the whisperings of God. Let us
all pray for the grace to have our inner eyes open at all times, Amen
