Cardinal Müller: No Need To Teach Old Rite in Seminaries
This is the same cardinal who stands behind Vatican 2 and thinks the SSPX will eventually embrace Vatican 2 wholly. He is a False Traditionalist.
Cardinal Müller, the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the
Faith, talking to the German writer Martin Mosebach, a strong advocate
of the Old Mass, has denied that young priests should know the Old Rite,
writes German Radio Vatican.
Müller claimed that the program in the seminaries is already "tight", and that not all seminarians have solid foundations in their Christian faith and prayer life. Therefore, from a pragmatic point of view, one must be happy, if they can handle the regular curriculum - which, in contrast to the Old Rite, often does not promote neither Christian faith nor prayer life.
