A Talk Full of Blasphemies & Errors
It was full of blasphemies and errors! What else could traditional Catholic writers say about Cardinal Blase
Cupich's talk about Pope Francis' Amoris Laetita as
a new paradigm of Catholicity? As some commentators have noted, it
would appear that, in the name of Francis, Card. Cupich was
presenting a new “revolutionary” vision of the Church where mortal sin
no longer exists. But, one must ask, is there anything new is this? Hasn’t Hell, the consequence of sin, already been eliminated by the post-Conciliar Church? Didn’t John Paul II say that Hell is a state of beingnot a physical location? Didn’t Benedict XVI say that the vision of Hell seen by the three children of Fatima might have been nothing but the active imagination of children still imbued with pre-Vatican II teaching?
In a talk Von Hügel Institute for Critical Catholic Inquiry at Cambridge University on February 9, 2018, Card. Cupich emphasized that the Church needs to take a fresh approach to couples and families living in sin and in irregular situations. He emphasized the fact that the Church must reject the “authoritarian way”of dealing with “people who pretend to know all the answers.”
In stressing this point, he illustrates he lacks either the knowledge of authentic doctrine or the will to teach it because of his progressivist training. In effect, he is instructing the faithful that they do not have to obey the word of God or the Ten Commandments. Instead, the Cardinal says, listen to your conscience. God will speak to you. Or will it be Satan?
After reviewing many of the comments in the Cardinal’s talk, I could not help thinking of how true Msgr. Eugenio Pacelli's (future Pius XII) astounding words written in 1929 have become (here and here).
Pius XII honoring Our Lady of Fatima, but he did not make the proper consecration
“A day will come when the civilized world will deny its God, when the Church doubts as Peter doubted. She will be tempted to believe that man has become God. In our churches, Christians will search in vain for the red lamp where God awaits them. Like Mary Magdalene, weeping before the empty tomb, they will ask, 'Where have they taken Him?'“
Our Lady warned us! Pius XII warned us. His words, in fact, leave us in the greatest perplexity over why - in his long 19 year reign - he never made the Consecration to Russia in the formula Our Lady requested.
The last remedies for the faithful
In 1917 every Catholic learned in Catechism that sinners go to Hell. It is now clear why Our Lady showed Hell to the three shepherd children in her July 13, 1917, visit, thus affirming that this doctrine has not changed. Since the Council, the word ‘Hell’ has been eliminated from the “modern form“ of the Act of Contrition. In most of the Gospels where God warns us of sin, the terms Hell and damnation have been removed or replaced, leaving new generations of Catholics almost without the notion of an eternal punishment for sin.
In the late 1950s, Lucy requested radio time to provide the world with the message of Our Lady. She was denied by the Church. It was Father Fuentes, after his meeting with Lucy in late 1957, who followed her wishes and delivered her message, which included many startling statements.
One of the most alarming remarks was her warning that the faithful should not wait for help or a call to penance to come from the Pope or other ecclesiastical authorities; rather, each person must not only save his own soul but others that God places in our path.
Lucy said: “Our Lady told my cousins as well as myself that God is giving two last remedies to the world. These are the Holy Rosary and Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. These are the last two remedies which signify that there will be no others.”
If a person is serious about saving his soul, he will say the Holy Rosary daily and make the Five First Saturdays Devotion in reparation for sins against the Blessed Mother, and do so as many times as possible. This Devotion was an established custom in the Church and was approved decades ago. Our Lady reaffirmed its importance to Sister Lucy at Pontevedra, Spain, in 1925, but it is rarely mentioned in Conciliar Churches.
A pretended devotion to Our Lady of Fatima, whose message Francis ignores
The conciliar Popes have been presented as being cooperative and supportive of the Fatima message. Nothing could be further from the truth. Their appearances at Fatima with a bogus Sister Lucy on a few occasions have been no more than publicity stunts, diversions necessary because of popularity of the Blessed Mother. All of the Popes since Pius XI (including Pius XII) have disobeyed the commands of Our Lady of Fatima.
I note the dire consequences of only two indisputable facts:
- Pius XI refused to consecrate Russia in 1930, which could have prevented World War II;
- John XXIII refused to release the Third Secret in 1960, which could have saved untold millions of souls.
