Yesterday we had another fantastic talk with Fr. Voigt about the topic of the new humanism’s effect upon Vatican II doctrine including the areas of life and marriage. He talked very eloquently about the pleasure versus sacrifice principle between the two differences in view (pre-post Vatican II). I asked him to talk about the marriage debt which prompted me to reflect upon how this debt in the spiritual sense is owed to Christ our Beloved which is my focus point today in this article.
