EARTHQUAKES IN DIVERS PLACES: Rare magnitude 4.5 earthquake strikes off coast of New Orleans
An earthquake struck off the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday, about 120 miles southeast of Grand Isle, according to the National Weather Service in New Orleans. There was no tsunami threat from the earthquake, according to the NWS.
The Weather Channel reported that the rare 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck in the Gulf about 160 miles southeast of New Orleans. No injuries or damage was reported, according to The Weather Channel report. READ MORE
