WHY SHOULD CATHOLICS PAY ATTENTION TO END TIMES PROPHECIES?
Our
Lord founded His Church when he gave to St. Peter the keys of the
Kingdom of Heaven and grant him the power to bind and loose upon earth
whatever he and his successors saw necessary for the preservation of the
Faith. To this general
Apostasy of the Faith, it is attributed a decline of the Catholic
population. This decline happened right after the Vatican II Council
when many, including clerics and laity, decided to leave either to
create their own sects, to become part of other religions, or to try to preserve the faith as it was handed to us right until 1958.
Catholics
cannot deny we all have been warned about the Apostasy of the Faith,
the Abomination of Desolation, the Cease of the Eternal Sacrifice, and
the Son of Perdition who will claim to be God and requests to be
worshipped as God and who according to Sacred Scriptures will seat in
the Temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God. All these can be
corroborated by reading 2 Thessalonians 2, St. Matthew 24, St. Jude's
Epistle, St. John 15:20, the Book of Daniel and the Book of Apocalypse.
To cite the Church we consider important to talk about a series
of lectures delivered by Cardinal Manning under the title “The Present
Crises of the Holy See Tested by Prophecy.” He divided his lectures into
four fundamental teachings
of the Church: The “Revolt” against the True Church, The Manifestation
of “the Wicked One” —the Antichrist, a Restraining Force
that “withholdeth” for a while, and the Period of Power during which the
Antichrist persecutes the Faithful.
Cardinal Manning asserts that,
"The apostasy of the city of Rome from the vicar of Christ and its
destruction by Antichrist may be thoughts very new to many Catholics,
that I think it well to recite the text of theologians of greatest
repute. First Malvenda, who writes expressly on the subject, states as
the opinion of Ribera, Gaspar Melus, Biegas, Suarez, Bellarmine and
Bosius that Rome shall apostatize
from the Faith, drive away the Vicar of Christ and return to its
ancient paganism. ...Then the Church shall be scattered, driven into the
wilderness, and shall be for a time, as it was in the beginning,
invisible; hidden in catacombs, in dens, in mountains, in lurking
places; for a time it shall be swept, as it were from the face of the
earth. Such is the universal testimony of the Fathers of the early
Church.”- Henry Edward Cardinal Manning, The Present Crisis of the Holy
See, 1861, London: Burns and Lambert, pp. 88-90)
In
his Encyclical, E Supremi Apostolatus, “On the Restoration of All
Things in Christ,” October 4, 1903, Pope St. Pius X, interpreted
Scriptural Prophecy in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, by stating the following:
“When
all this is considered there is good reason to fear lest this great
perversity may be as it were a foretaste, and PERHAPS THE BEGINNING of
those Evils which are reserved for the Last Days; and that there MAY be
already in the world the "Son of Perdition" of whom the Apostle
speaks (II. Thess. ii., 3). Such, in truth, is the audacity and the
wrath employed everywhere in persecuting religion, in combating the
dogmas of the faith, in brazen
effort to uproot and destroy all relations between man and the
Divinity! While, on the other hand, and this, according to the same
Apostle, is the distinguishing mark of the Antichrist: with infinite
temerity man has USURPED the place of God, raising himself above all
that is called God; in such wise that although he cannot utterly
extinguish in himself all knowledge of God, he has shaken off the yoke
of God's majesty and made of the
world a temple where he pretends to receive the adoration of his fellow
men. He sitteth IN the temple of God, showing himself as if he were
God. (II Thess. ii, 4).”
Our Lord Jesus Christ, clearly recorded in St. Matthew 24: "For nation shall rise against nation,
and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be pestilences, and
famines, and earthquakes in places... And then shall many be
scandalized: and shall betray one another: and shall hate one
another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall seduce many. But
he that shall persevere to the end, he shall be saved."
According to St. Louis de Montfort: "The
formation and the education of the great saints who will come at the
end of the world are reserved to her, for only this singular and
wondrous virgin can produce in union with the Holy Spirit singular and
wondrous things.
...all
the rich among the people will look pleadingly upon her countenance
throughout all ages and particularly as the world draws to its end. This
means that the greatest saints, those richest in grace and virtue will
be the most assiduous in praying to the most Blessed Virgin, looking up
to her as the perfect model to imitate and as a powerful helper to
assist them.
These
great souls filled with grace and zeal will be chosen to oppose the
enemies of God who are raging on all sides. They will be exceptionally
devoted to the Blessed Virgin. Illumined by her light, strengthened by
her food, guided by her spirit, supported by her arm, sheltered under
her protection, they will fight with one hand and build with the other.
With one hand they will give battle, overthrowing and crushing heretics
and their heresies, schismatics and their schisms, idolaters and their
idolatries, sinners and their wickedness. With the other hand they will
build the temple of the true Solomon and the mystical city of God,
namely, the Blessed Virgin, who is called by the Fathers of the Church
the Temple of Solomon and the City of God. By word and example they will
draw all men to a true devotion to her and though this will make many
enemies, it will also bring about many victories and much glory to God
alone." True Devotion, 35, 46, 48

So many different times Our Lady has come in different ways to warn all of us. Thank God He has allowed Her to do this because if we were to rely on a lot of the Shephard's we would be lost.

DeleteTradCatKnight If you can follow up with more from Catholic Prophecy. This was a good topic to post, the messages from Our Lady sent by God the Father and His Only Begotten Son, because the ones who pierced Him looked upon Him and walked away. So it is, the ancients didn't listen to Him the One sent from God the Father, so now God the Father sends His Beloved the Queen of Heaven. So many messages certainly enough to make a sequel blog if you will. Many people need to hear these approved apparitions, wisdom from the Saints and Scripture about the end times. God bless you.
