Surviving the Tempest
There
is a reason for the chaotic condition of human society in our time.
Those who wish to establish a “new world order” believe that the
previous order of things must be reduced to chaos. This will enable them
to impose their own godless order under the power of the Antichrist.
Christians will be ruthlessly persecuted. It is already happening.
But
God has not abandoned us to confusion and chaos. He has revealed the
truth to us in His Divine Son, Jesus Christ. That’s why the devil is in
such a rage. The Son of God is denied. The ‘church of Vatican II,’
clothed as the harlot in purple and scarlet (Apoc.17:1,2), is flirting
with the world, hoping to become a partner in its plans for a New World
Order, baptized as “a civilization of peace and love.”
In his great work, The Liturgical Year, Dom Prosper Gueranger speaks of the “exclusive right” of the true Church:
“When
Christianity first shone upon mankind, it found error supreme mistress
of the world. Having to deal with a universe that was rooted in death,
Christianity adopted no other plan for giving it salvation than that of
making the light as bright as could be; its only policy was to proclaim
the power which truth alone has of saving man, and to assert its exclusive right to reign over the world. The triumph of the Gospel was the result.”
So,
truth – the truth of the Gospel – has an exclusive right to reign over
this world. But the church of Vatican II and its false popes decided to abandon this exclusive right,
and to acknowledge the equal rights of those who teach error. Now we
have “profound respect” for the philosophies of this world and the
“doctrines of devils,” to use a phrase from St. Paul (1Tim.4:1). Dom
Gueranger’s words apply here as he laments what he saw happening even in
his own time:
“But
now, with the connivance of those whose Baptism made them, too,
children of light, error has regained its pretended rights. As a natural
consequence, the charity of an immense number has grown cold in
proportion; darkness is again thickening over the world, as though it
were in the chill of its last agony.”
The
nations in their present state cannot admit the true Catholic Church to
partnership in the New World Order. The Church is a dangerous
institution – it smites the enemies of God with the sword of God’s word.
It puts down liars and deceivers with the truth of the Gospel. It
claims as its Mother and Queen the Holy and Immaculate Virgin Mary, who
goes into battle and intercedes for us. The Church finds her in this
Scripture passage:
“Who
is this that comes forth like the dawn, as beautiful as the moon, as
resplendent as the sun, as awe-inspiring as bannered troops?”
(Cant.6:10).
Through
its prayers and supplications the Church sends St. Michael and the
heavenly hosts of angels to do battle with Satan and his demonic hordes,
together with their earthly counterparts. Evildoers are right to fear
the Catholic Church, for after its time of trial it will rise gloriously
to shatter the kingdom of darkness by preaching the Gospel to all
nations. No wonder they want to destroy it. That’s why the true Church
has been brought down to the dust and has all but disappeared. Jesus
Christ was dangerous, and they had him crucified. His Church is
dangerous to the devil’s New World Order, so it must be destroyed too.
But it will rise again in glory, just as the Lord Himself did on the
third day after He died on the Cross.
The
true Church does not beg to be a partner in the New World Order. The
true Catholic Church has the authority from God Himself to teach the
nations, and the nations and their leaders have an obligation to hear
the Church. Our Lord commanded His Apostles:
“All
power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and
make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all
that I have commanded you…” (Mt.28:8-20a). “He who believes and is
baptized shall be saved, but he who does not believe shall be condemned”
(Mk.16:16).
Whether
the UN, the EU or the US, the nations must hear and obey the voice of
God. “He who hears you hears me; and he who rejects you, rejects me; and
he who rejects me, rejects him who sent me” (Lk.10:16).
The
true Catholic Church speaks with the authority of God, but the false
church of Vatican II craves the approval of the world, and has revealed
itself a traitor to Christ the King. Pope Pius XII, quoting St.
Augustine, teaches the primacy of Christ the King:
“The ‘Catholic Church, the City of God, whose King is Truth, whose law love and whose measure eternity’ (St. Augustine, Ep. CXXXVIII. Ad Marcellinum,
C. 3, N. 17), preaching fearlessly the whole truth of Christ and
toiling as the love of Christ demands with the zeal of a mother, stands
as a blessed vision of peace above the storm of error and passion
awaiting the moment when the all-powerful Hand of Christ the King shall
quiet the tempest and banish the spirits of discord which have provoked
it” (Summi Pontificatus, #110).
Christ
the King, now ascended into Heaven and seated at the right hand of the
Father, will come again in glory to judge the nations, as He foretold to
His Apostles:
