WE HAVE MOVED!

"And I beheld, and heard the voice of one eagle flying through the midst of heaven,
saying with a loud voice: Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth....

Fr. Voigt, "Fallen Man needs a Guardian"

Fr. Voigt, "Fallen Man needs a Guardian"

Can we achieve eternal life apart from our guardian, our good Samaritan?  In accusing our Lord the Jews said that Jesus was possessed by a demon and was a Samaritan.  Our Lord denied the first accusation but never the second.  The lawyer sought to trip up our lord with the question of attaining eternal life. Our Lord answered with the question about the law and how did this lawyer read it.  The correct answer was given that we should love the Lord our God with our whole heart, our whole mind, our whole soul and our whole strength.  Also we should love our neighbor as ourselves.

Now realize that this is quite a mouthful given that man was fallen and that robber devils stole the precious gifts of infused knowledge, impassibility and immortality from the poor man.  God alone could heal the fallen man and hence traveled from the heavenly Jerusalem to the worldly Jericho.  Our good
Samaritan (Guardian) found us in a pitiful condition.  It is meant to be in order that you and I might realize our nothingness before God.  He cleanses our wounds with His Precious Blood which it the Restrainer that holds back Satan's hand.  This good Samaritan carries us to the inn of the world and gives the two coins, the old and new testament, to the inn keepers, the Catholic Priest, in order to heal all those who hear the word of God.

Now here we are in the world with the gift of a guardian angel to watch over us and guide us through the experiences of life to the kingdom of God.  These good Samaritans are found everywhere and they never sleep in their duty to help us recognize the deceits of the devil and yield to the divine will for their salvation.  Do you know your Guardian Angel's name and do you speak with that precious friend?
First, how does one come to know the name of one's guardian angel?

A good and holy Salesian Sister Clare told me the method which has been passed on from Salesian to Salesian.  Begin by making a good general confession in all humility for humility is the soil from which all good things come to us.  Fallen men must recognize and realize their nothingness.  Then assist at a triduum of holy Masses and receive our Lord in holy Communion.  After receiving Him the first and second day ask Him the question:  "Lord, what is the name of my Guardian Angel?"  Now listen and usually you will not receive any answer until the third day.  On the third day ask that question and listen carefully for a name will come to mind, or it will be manifested by sight or even by sound.  I have had individuals learn the name in many different ways on that third day.  Others I have found need to persevere in this prayer until God decides that they are humble enough to receive the grace.
Don't give up.  In the end you will have the great friend with you and there will be a special bond with this Guardian.  I pass this on as it was passed onto me.

Our guardian angels are great helps to each of us.  They expose the dangers that threaten our souls.
They give us insight into the words of the old and new Testaments (two coins of salvation).  They carry us when we are too weak and they strengthen our sense of the divine family which will remain for all eternity.  They foster a love for holiness and they help us honor our Mother and our Help of Christians.  Turn to them, speak with them and learn to love God more intensely for the gift of these good Samaritans.

In the hearts of Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

Fr. Richard Voigt

P.S.  For those who have not heard my surgery was very successful and my heart is now beating firmly and there is no regurgitation.  Soon I will rebuild this sore body and be ready to do whatever God wills for me.  Thank you for your prayers and sacrifices.
