WE HAVE MOVED!

"And I beheld, and heard the voice of one eagle flying through the midst of heaven,
saying with a loud voice: Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth....

Do You Sow Sparingly?

Do You Sow Sparingly?
By: Eric Gajewski
Taken from today’s lesson: 2 Cor. 9:6-10
Brethren: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Let each one give according as he has determined in his heart, not grudgingly or from compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound in you, so that always having ample means, you may abound in every good work, as it is written, He has scattered abroad and has given to the poor, his justice remains forever. Now He Who provides the sower will seed will both give you bread to eat and will multiply your seed, and will increase the growth of the fruits of your justice.

Today, as a part of your nightly examination (and going forward) be sure to cover the area of “what am I sowing”.  Honestly, ask yourself "I am sowing for Christ or self? What is it I am sowing?  How much do I sow?  These are all questions we must ask ourselves if we are to advance further in the Fortress of the Soul.  Do we live for ourselves or for Christ?  Do you live for Christ by living for others first?  Do you "with hold" when that which you with hold is not yours in the first place.

I am amused by those who say selfishly “….well that is mine”.  No, my good friends, in reality, nothing is ours but rather His and we must have the disposition that we are stewards.  In order for Christ to first live in us wholly we must be purged of "things" which impede Charity's work.  We must, interiorly, be poured out of, "all self" before the “Living Waters” can flow freely through us.  Thence, when this occurs God can use us as He pleases NOT just when you allow Him too which is an indication you still cling to self.  Those who sow not have not.  You can hoard all of the worlds fruity pebbles for the upcoming collapse and still have not.  Those who sow sparingly receive very little and those who sow often have a bountiful harvest.  Modern man often confuses this with “things” but the Christian is not first concerned with this.  He is concerned first with his soul.  However, take a look around and then turn toward a mirror and say “Do I profess what I believe I ought be pursuing?”

Do you give grudgingly?  These souls give with a crooked smile and it pains them but why?  Because they know they must and ought give but in reality they do not want to.  They are afraid of the penalty of not giving but they truly do not like God's "Love’s game".  We ought to give and give often.  For when you give you are already filled.  Do not say I must give and do it out of fear but rather go within and ask to be PERFECTLY aligned with the Sacred Heart and thus you WILL BEGIN TO GIVE AND NOT EVEN REALIZE YOU ARE GIVING because this is the nature of the Sacred Heart.  Can you imagine if Our Lord, our Model, had such a disposition towards us or if we perceived this in Him?  Would we even have martyrs willing to give up their own bodies?  It puts proper perspective back unto His Passion and the Eucharist!  He gave and gave it ALL willingly without grudge and yet some of you wont give up the remote tonight as you go to argue between watching “the bachelorette” and the Olympics.

Get your hands off "my fruity pebbles" says the man of self

God loves a cheerful giver.  Anything God assumes, gives.  Those who say they have Christ and yet live like Ebenezer Scrooge are only fooling themselves.  Yes, of course, we rationalize our hoarding and our reasons not to give.  I know you are going to Disneyland next month or you are saving up for some "cool rims" for your car…that is why you didn't get that homeless guy some food.  It is time for us to spend more time in prayer and reflection and understand that in the times ahead we are going to have to rely upon the grace of God working in all of us to survive.  Yes, I know you want to hire a security guard for the pallet of Cheerios you have stashed in your basement for the economic collapse but would you seriously refuse to give to a family of four starving because "they should have been prepared themselves?"  You might as well check yourself into hell now and save us all time.  Remember it is God Who is Charity who is behind ALL our good works for only God is good and we are wretches.  I know you like to think you are in control now O' sinner but if you persist God will bring your knees in trial to teach you otherwise.  May Almighty God Bless you, Ave Maria!

Give and it shall be given…keep Christ’s true love “moving” around you by allowing Him to work through you (via the consent of your own free will …..)
