Our Conversation Is In Heaven
By: Eric Gajewski
Phil 3:17-21 Be ye followers of me,
brethren, and observe them who walk so as you have our model. [18] For
many walk, of whom I have told you often (and now tell you weeping), that they
are enemies of the cross of Christ; [19] Whose
end is destruction; whose God is their belly; and whose glory is in their
shame; who mind earthly things. [20] But our
conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, our Lord
Jesus Christ, [21]
Who will reform the body of our lowness, made like to the body of his glory,
according to the operation whereby also he is able to subdue all things unto
himself.
The things which we talk about are
those things which truly occupy our hearts and minds. We can reveal that which is within in our
everyday conversations and yet most pay no attention. Today, we ought reflect in how we are walking
with Christ by watching what we say. Do
we speak about earthly things the majority of the time or do we speak of
heavenly things? The Conciliar Church is
interested in building up man’s utopia here on earth without the aid of the
Catholic Faith. Go figure that one
out. This new tower of babel like its
predecessor shall fall. As the old adage
goes the taller they are the harder they fall and God is simply smiling as
rebellious men try to build higher and higher.
To say this fall will crush a few egos is to put it mildly. Do we follow the path of Tradition and walk
like Paul or do we follow the Nimrods of our day following in the path of
Destruction? Nay, our conversation ought
be wholly wrapped up in heavenly things and those things which are eternal as
opposed to those things which are temporal
Your favorite football team
lost. You threw the TV remote, got upset
and had to take 1 milligram of Xanax to calm down. Sounds like just another day in most male
occupied modern homes. Is this representative
of a heart and mind occupied with heavenly things or a heart trodden down with
earthly things? Must I must remind you
that eagles are detached from all earthly things in so that they can wholly
possess the King alone? The degree into
which you will give God control is the degree unto which you are truly
free. If you give the King just a closet
in your Home than you are not worthy to be called his friend let alone disciple. Is not the Home his to begin with and yet you
think it sufficient to give him a closet off in the corner of the house to stay
in? Furthermore, what earthly king would
enter a home completely is disarray? Do
you look after your hearts movements? Is
your interior cleaned and dusted daily and if not why not? You say you want Jesus but your actions say
you want the things of this world.
Eagles have eyes wide in charity and full vision for they are wholly
detached and allow God free access to the whole of their home.
The enemies of Christ are
plenty. In this hour we can look to our
left and right and find virtually no man nor priest truly keeping the Faith. There are sworn enemies of the Cross by an
obstinate rebellion against Tradition.
The New Age cannot formally come about unless we keep on this path of
novelty/heresy and thus Destruction. And
you still think the worst has past? Not hardly,
folks. We are only just beginning. Today, there are many whose bellies have
become gods. We even have late night
drive ins in which we can “feed the beast” which is tucked away somewhere under
our belts. Furthermore, we have created
false cities of securities around us and in our own minds thinking we are
sufficient wilst all the while putting grace and God on the backburner for “potential
use” if we need them. This is how modern
man thinks and acts. They do not see the
world as a hindrance to their salvation so they attempt to court it.
Do you mind? What do you think of often during the
day? Can anyone honestly say that they
think pf heaven the majority of the time?
Yet the majority say they are going straight to heaven! What madness.
What shall often pass across the theater of your mind first arises in the
heart. If your heart is full of evil
then you will think of evil things quite often.
If you think of earthly things the majority of the time then your eyes
are truly not on the Prize, Who is Christ Himself. Brethren, do we not do what we ought do all
for the sake of just being in His Presence?
He is the goal and reward. He is
the One who hast given us created things and yet our minds are stating trapped
on those things which are beneath. Must
I remind you all that Our Lord is a jealous God? Get a journal and document those things which
you truly are mindful of during the day and this will tell you what we truly
love. For a good number this will
involve burgers, baseball and the next episode of the bachelorette.
Our conversation is in heaven. Or is it?
Can you truthfully say in your own life that it is? Eagles go out and evangelize therefore we
must know the Faith inside and out. We
must speak the things of Christ and not those things of the world. Do we look to Christ on Monday or are we already
looking ahead to Friday? Ah! The god of
the weekend I forgot about him. You will
begin to find more joy in your life as soon as you begin to make more of a
space in your home for Jesus. This
process of course may take a life time and sadly for most on this earth the job
will never get done in our earthly bodies.
The process of permanently moving away from the self seems quite simplistic
in theory. Yet only those brave souls
(who are truly called friends of Christ) who will take the Words of Christ seriously
have any hopes of achieving the Spiritual Marriage with the Beloved in this
life. We spend too much time “looking
out the windows” when all the while we are sitting in front of our Beloved at
dinner. What woman would not be upset at
her man who at the supposed romantic dinner was staring off outside through the
window the whole time? Where is his
heart and mind at? This is how it is
with God for the souls who are worldly and cannot take their eyes off of it. A jealous God will simply get up and walk out
the home.
Many are called to His table but how
few will ever sit down to attempt to dine with the King. Sadly, how even fewer their who are so in
love that they keep their eyes focused on Christ during the whole meal. Wandering eyes tell of lips and a heart which
lies. Therefore, whom or what do you
love and are you prepared to die for this.
Christ died for you and has prepared a Home for you that has many
mansions.
In my Father’s house there are many
mansions. If not, I would have told you: because I go to prepare a place
for you. John 14: 2 He has gone eagerly to prepare a place for you and yet
we make no preparations for Him in our hearts daily. We say we want to be with
Him eternally and yet temporally we want to be in the presence of our true god…the
TV. Who are you fooling? Are
you still bold enough now to offer him only just a closet in your own
Home? Remember, brethren, it is only
through God that we can enlarge our Home.
This is the work of Selfless Love and thus we all have work to do, amen
