Who Am I? Be Encouraged!
By: Eric Gajewski
It seems we are confronted with evil
at every front. From the TV to the
billboards to the Vatican and our own governments. But should we bend as Soldiers in the Army
due to a little distress? Should we know
in this very late hour flee as a bird unto the mountain? Or is this not the hour we were made
for? Are we not called to be eagles to
fly in the coming Great Storm or not?
The times are hard in so that we can be interiorly transformed so why
complain and gripe? Get a little Fire in
that belly and under your rear end and let us get to work. No one said this would be easy; no one said
we were going to escape this times unscathed.
No matter what vice currently has a hold of you Gods grace is greater. O’ sinner conversion is a process it is NOT a “one day snap of the finger and I am Saint kind of thing”. Enjoy the journey, journal it, reflect upon it…go deeper. Enjoy your family and friends live each day as if it is your last. Thank God at the beginning of the day at the end and periodically in between. Surround yourself with those who will love and support you in your journey and do not be afraid to separate yourself from those who do not. Yes, your soul is that important. Whining is not going to win us our souls nor please God and if God is fine with allowing all these evils that surround us then it is good enough for me. Let me strive to be the Saint God wants me to be. Let me be an eagle unchained from the cliffs of self in so that I can fly right into this face of this Great Storm.
Get it together O’ Catholic! Nothing is lost. Even when the earth fades this does not mean it is the end for there is no end in God. Strive for perfection and do not be dismayed by even your slightest faults for this makes us human. Do not think God has abandoned us in this dire hour. Finer diamonds are made in the advanced heat of the day. Continue to battle on interiorly and have it your goal in all things to please Jesus. Talk to the enemy out loud if need be, rebuke him. Call upon the name of Our Lady and pray the Rosary. Dare to be “crazy” in these crazy times for this is the only way. Step out of the dark and your past shadow and stand under the Light long enough for it to have an impact on your heart and soul. You are not going to advance if you constantly commit mortal sins frequently.
The reality is still that you are in control of your own soul. Your soul does not belong to Obama, Trump, or any of the FEMA camps awaiting us. It belongs to Christ therefore what you shall do with this soul today. How will you prepare your heart each and every day for the King? Take each day and take action. Where there is fear attack; where there is worry laugh; where there is doubt give praise. Pray and go out and win souls for Christ. Quit worry about yourself for even the birds of the air are fed. Do not care about what others say about you nor what you stand for because we stand on solid eternal ground. We are Christ’s we are Catholic therefore we are the Victor’s! Amen
