"And I beheld, and heard the voice of one eagle flying through the midst of heaven,
saying with a loud voice: Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth....

Prepper: 3 Shocking Ways Off-Grid Living Is Slowly Being Banned in America (and Canada)
This blog is LOADED with the latest from the health, homesteading, prepper and survivalist world

Off-grid living is slowly and methodically being regulated out of existence by many local governments throughout the United States and Canada, an Off The Grid News analysis has found.
Although there certainly are places where living off the gird is perfectly legal, there also are quite a few locations in America and Canada where zoning regulations, building codes and other local ordinances are driving those who wish to live off the grid out of many communities.
OTGN examined laws and news stories from across North America and discovered glaring examples of government regulation:

1. Livestock regulations.
The city of Visalia, California, threatened Gingi Freeman with a $1,000-a-day fine for keeping two Nigerian Dwarf Goats – which are the size of small or medium-sized dogs — in her yard. Freeman used the goats to provide milk for her babies. The mother of two is unable to produce breast milk because of surgery she had as a teenager.

Get Free Backup Electricity — That Works Even During Blackouts!

“My only options were to use formula or get breast milk from donors. There have been a couple times where we ran out of breast milk donations,” Freeman said.
Elsewhere, animal control officers seized three pygmy goats and six chickens from Dave and Sky Brown’s urban farm in the largely deserted Riverdale, Michigan, neighborhood in 2014. The officers were accompanied by police.
The animals were taken in an effort to enforce an ordinance against unlawful farm animals. At the time of the seizure, Sky Brown was worried that the animals could be killed by authorities.
The Browns were particularly upset because an animal control officer used a net to catch the chickens before they were put in crates and taken away.
“There are gun shots every night,” Brown wrote of her neighborhood. “There are meth addicts blowing up houses within blocks of us, and the city of Detroit finds it more relevant to rip screaming pets out of the hands of their devastated owners.”

Disturbingly, it could be illegal to keep livestock even on rural property in some parts of Michigan. The state’s Commission of Agriculture and Rural Development ruled in 2014 that local governments have the right to ban livestock from any area zoned residential. That would include subdivisions outside the city limits.
The action will “effectively remove Right to Farm Act protection for many urban and suburban backyard farmers raising small numbers of animals,” Gail Philbin of the Michigan Sierra Club told Michigan Live. The Right to Farm Act is a state law that protects farmers from nuisance lawsuits and zoning regulations.
2. Utility regulations.
Simply refusing to connect to utilities is now illegal and punishable by fines or even evictions in many places. Some people have been told they cannot live in their own homes because they refuse to connect to utilities.
Robin Speronis of Cape Coral, Florida, was evicted from her own home by city officials. Her offense: She was not hooked up to the city’s water system. Speronis was cited by a code enforcement officer after she told a local television that she was living without utilities. Interestingly, city officials admitted that Speronis did not have to use the water simply; she simply needed to be connected. Even the magistrate who initially upheld Speronis’ conviction acknowledged that the case was irrational. (Listen to an interview with Speronis here.)

Just 30 Grams Of This Survival Superfood Provides More Nutrition Than An Entire Meal!

“Reasonableness and code requirements don’t always go hand-in-hand … given societal and technical changes (that) requires review of code ordinances,” Special Magistrate Harold S. Eskin said.
Speronis was not alone. Officials in Clark’s Harbour, Nova Scotia, refused to grant Cheryl Smith a certificate of occupancy for her new home because it did not have wiring for smoke detectors and ventilation systems. The home violated a building code that requires such a setup.

A refusal to install smoke detectors almost got an off-grid Amish family evicted from their home in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin. Wisconsin Watchdog reported that Amos and Vera Borntreger had to retain a lawyer and go to court to keep county inspectors from evicting them and their six children from their home.
The couple had refused to install smoke detectors because such devices violate their Amish faith. The smoke detectors were mandated by the Uniform Dwelling Code or UDC, a common national building code. A judge actually issued the eviction order, which was later retracted.
“Eau Claire County has the unfortunate distinction of being the only county in the United States that has used placard eviction to put an Amish family out of their home,” said David Mortimer, the spokesman for the local chapter of the National Committee for Amish Religious Freedom.
Meanwhile, using a septic tank is banned in some areas, as North Carolina resident Ingrid Larsen discovered. The Southeast Brunswick Sanitary District would not let Larsen use a septic tank because there already is a sewer line near her property. (Listen to an interview with Larsen here.)
Larsen refused to use the sewer system because in 2005 a sewage pumping station failed and caused 10,000 gallons of human waste to flood her home. The waste was so toxic that her home had to be demolished.
3. Gardening banned.
Even growing a vegetable garden can lead to expensive fines and harassment from authorities.
Hermine Ricketts and her husband, Tom Carroll, were given a choice of tearing out their 17-year-old organic vegetable garden or face a $50-a-day fine. Officials in Miami Shores, Florida, ordered the garden torn out for aesthetic reasons; it was in the front yard.
“We are already feeling the impact of shopping for overpriced organic food,” Ricketts told The Miami Herald.
The city eventually backed down.

Jennifer and Jason Helvenston of Orlando, faced a $500-a-day fine, also for planting a vegetable garden in their front yard. The home lacks a back yard.
The two had to lobby the city council with a petition to get the ordinance overturned. They also organized a movement called Patriot Garden, which encouraged residents to plant radishes in their front yards as an act of civil disobedience.

Elsewhere, Julie Bass of Oak Park, Michigan, was threatened with a 93-day jail sentence for planting a vegetable garden in her own front yard in 2011, ABC News reported. Bass faced jail for planting green tomatoes, zucchini and baby peppers in five large planters outside of her home in a Detroit suburb. She had permission from her neighbors to install the planters.
“Michelle Obama plants vegetables on the White House front lawn. I don’t think the jury is going to think that it’s suitable for the White House, but it’s not suitable for Oak Park,” Bass’ attorney, Solomon Radner, told ABC News.
Josée Landry and Michel Beauchamp faced a fine of $100 to $300 a day for turning the front yard of their home in Drummondville, Quebec, into a vegetable garden.
The couple credited the garden for helping them lose a combined 100 pounds in weight. City officials demanded that the two tear out 70 percent of the garden to comply with a zoning ordinance, or face the fines. The ordinance required that 70 percent of the front yard be a lawn or a flower garden.
Officials backed down after 29,000 people signed a petition created by gardening advocate Roger Doiron, The Huffington Post reported.

Millions of bees turning up dead around GMO corn fields soaked with neonicotinoid pesticides

(NaturalNews) As the European Union considers whether to lift restrictions on three pesticides in the neonicotinoid family, it would do well to consider the phenomenon, known to Canadian beekeepers, in which bees start dying in droves shortly after corn planting season.

"Once the corn started to get planted our bees died by the millions," said beekeeper Dave Schuit in summer 2013, as reported by Eat Local Grown.

That spring, Schuit lost 600 hives containing 37 million bees. The same year, Canadian farmer Gary Kenny said that eight of the 10 beehives that he kept on his property died shortly after his neighbors planted corn in their fields.

Genetically modified (GM) corn is widely planted in Canada, but because the bee deaths occurred just after planting, the corn plants are not likely to blame for this particular die-off. Instead, beekeepers believe the cause is that the corn seeds were pre-treated with neonicotinoids. Air seeding causes neonicotinoid dust to fly off the seeds and into the air, drifting across the landscape.

Numerous studies point finger at neonics

In one study, researchers from American Purdue University examined the bees that died or were dying as part of the spring 2013 die-off. "Bees exhibited neurotoxic symptoms, analysis of dead bees revealed traces of [the neonicotinoids] thiamethoxam/clothianidin in each case," they wrote. "Seed treatments of field crops (primarily corn) are the only major source of these compounds."

A local Pest Management Regulatory Agency investigation also pointed to the same cause, concluding that corn seeds treated with those neonicotinoids "contributed to the majority of bee mortalities."

"The air seeders are the problem," said Paul Wettlaufer, a local farmer and director of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture.

Neonicotinoids are "systemic pesticides." They are applied to the seeds prior to planting, and then taken up into every tissue of the plant, including leaves, seeds, pollen, flowers and nectar. This makes them highly lethal not just to agricultural pests, but to all insects, and even birds that visit the plants for any reason.

"Large scale prophylaxic use [of neonicotinoids] in agriculture, their high persistence in soil and water, and their uptake by plants and translocation to flowers ... put pollinator services at risk," concluded one international research study.

Not only pollinators are threatened. Two major studies in 2015 found that the pesticides have widespread, dangerous effects on entire ecosystems. One, published in the journal Nature, found that neonicotinoid use was causing bird populations to crash. This is likely caused by both direct poisoning and by devastation of their invertebrate food sources.

Meanwhile, an analysis by the the Task Force on Systemic Pesticides, of 800 separate studies, concluded that even when used according to manufacturer guidelines, neonicotinoids wreak havoc on "non-target" species such as earthworms, insects, aquatic invertebrates and even lizards and fish. The pesticides are "likely to have a wide range of negative biological and ecological impacts," the task force wrote.

The growing case for a ban

In 2013, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) placed a two-year ban on the use of three neonicotinoids, citing a likely risk to bees. The EFSA has now launched a new study to review that policy, with results expected in January 2017.

Yet the evidence for a ban on neonicotinoids is even stronger now than it was two years ago. Even the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has been forced to admit that the chemicals devastate pollinators. The agency recently announced the findings of field trials, finding that even very low level use of neonicotinoids (25 parts per billion in plant pollen and nectar), caused measurable drops in populations of honeybee hives.

Researchers believe that neonicotinoids damage bee brains, specifically the ability to process information related to orientation and direction.

Proof That Bottled Water Is Making You Sick

Acidic Drinking Water & Its Health Risks

The ill effects of acidity in drinking water has recently come to light as studies have progressed documenting the changing lifestyles of Americans. pH is the measurement of acid versus alkaline within a substance. A measurement of seven on the pH scale is generally said to be neutral (pure), while anything below is considered acidic and above alkaline. The pH in the body has been linked to long term concerns as it relates to many diseases. Most forms of diseases flourish in an acidic environment which is why drinking high acidic water in combination with our lifestyle changes and diet are a path for future health problems. The body manages this process of being more alkaline automatically. If the alkalinity level drops than the body will seek to draw alkaline from calcium deposits in our teeth and bones.

In our early years we get away with eating an imbalanced diet because our bodies produce a much higher rate of alkaline. This is why the body in earlier years stays skinnier even if we eat poorly. In our thirties and forties our bodies begin to change and the years of drinking acidic soda and ingesting other dietary NO-NOs, along with stress, environmental toxins and acidic chemicals in our daily hygiene products, all contribute to a higher acid level. Our bodies become less able to neutralize the acid. Chronic acidosis is a new term that has been established by the medical community to describe this event. Another new phenomenon is acid reflux directly linked to our lifestyle change and the amount of acid in our bodies. Twenty years ago did you ever even hear about this disease? Ever heard of acid rain and its damaging affects? This is the same thing that is currently happening in our bodies and it is time to take control!
According to the research of Dr. Enderlein our bodies can only be healed of any chronic illness when our blood is at normal, or slightly alkaline. An imbalanced pH affects the cellular activity in the body, leading to the progression of most degenerative diseases, including cardiovascular disease and heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, kidney stones, urinary incontinence, arthritis, osteoporosis, cancer, diabetes, systemic weight gain and obesity.
Minerals in water are an easy way to improve this balance within our bodies. The water that we choose to drink is impacting our bodys pH levels. Reverse Osmosis and bottled water are both bad choices as they are very acidic. Reverse Osmosis is water that is filtered to such a microscopic level that most if not all the minerals are removed. If you look at the label on bottled water that is processed through Reverse Osmosis (RO) it always states, “minerals added”. Even though bottled water generally isnt as acidic as RO water we should still shy away from it since the minerals added do not create a high enough pH level for healthy drinking. Find a water system that offers the best options for optimum health and leaves the necessary minerals in your water. Make choices that are in your family’s best interest there are many water system options today that leave the minerals in the water and have a healthy pH level.

To further make you think about drinking acidic Reverse Osmosis water think about this! In general, water with a low pH level of (less then 6.5) is acidic, soft and corrosive. As corrosive as this water is when it travels through our plumbing fixtures it is leaching metal ions like iron, manganese, copper, lead, and zinc from those fixtures and pipes. The fowl taste that comes from metals in the water and the health concerns of metals in drinking water is further proof that acidic water should be avoided.
Not sold yet? Take two different bowls one with Reverse Osmosis water and the other with water where the minerals have not been removed or substituted with salt and put it down for a pet. Their instincts guide them directly to the healthy water with minerals in it and they will choose the bowl with that water every time. Follow your pets instincts and your own and stay away from acidic water your body will love you for it. The long term health risks are real if you do not make this choice.

9 Perennial Vegetables You Can Plant Once, Harvest Forever … And Never Worry About Again

Wild onion. Image source: Pixabay.com

Most gardeners are familiar with annual vegetables. These are the one you plant every year, reaping their harvest all season long until the first hard frost comes in the late fall. Many flower gardeners, on the other hand, are familiar with perennial flowers. These are the plants that you plant once and that will continue to return year after year. Lesser known to both vegetable and flower gardeners, though, are the perennial vegetables! After becoming established in your garden or landscape, these plants will continue to produce an edible return, year after year.
Aside from decreasing the amount of work in the garden, there are many reasons to plant perennial vegetables. Once established, perennial vegetables literally take care of themselves. Established perennials are usually more resistant to pests and diseases, making them much more reliant producers. Additionally, perennial vegetables extend the harvest window. Since previously planted perennial vegetables are already established at the beginning of the growing season, they are usually well on their way to harvest when you are just getting around to planting the annual vegetables in the spring.
Perennial vegetables can also serve multiple purposes. Many perennial vegetables are also beautiful, serving as an ornamental plant for your landscape.

Seven ways to sustain yourself and your family while living in town

(Bugout.news) Living off the grid out in the country is, to many, the most preferable “survival” method because of some obvious advantages – no crowds to deal with in a collapse, multiple bugout routes, room to grow more food, the ability to homestead and so forth.
But not everyone prefers that lifestyle and, in fact, living in town can be downright convenient. That said, the city life should never become an excuse for complacency. And there are a number of skills you can and should learn that will make it easier to survive and even thrive in times of urgency.

Below are seven things you can do to not only boost your ability to adapt in an emergency, but also keep you healthier and, thus, less dependent medications and other health care that will vanish quickly when the civil society breaks down:
  1. Backyard gardening: Many city dwellers have taken to turning what patches of grass they have into productive space, and that generally means planting a garden. In the good times, of course there is nothing better than fresh produce. For those without any grass – say you live in an apartment – growing towers, Food Rising Mini-Farm grow boxes, potted produce and so forth can replace lawns.
  1. Food preservation: Along with growing your own food should come the preservation of that food, so you need to learn how “canning” – that is, how to turn the food you grow into long-term storage food. Keep in mind, too, that veggies and fruits are not the only items you can preserve; you can preserve meats, as well.
  1. Composting: All of your fruit and vegetable scraps, as well as egg shells and other food waste, can be used to create compost that will eventually break down and nutrient-energize soil. And yes, you can do this even if you live in an apartment; check out how right here.
  1. Get some chickens: Speaking of eggs, many urban dwellers are using their backyard plots to raise chickens (check your local laws and ordinances first, though). The good news is, many smaller cities and towns, in response to public demand, have made it legal to own and raise chickens, generally as long as you keep them penned in (which is a great idea anyway considering the number of domesticated dogs running around neighborhoods).
  1. Sew-sew: Learn how to knit, crochet and sew (men and women); making and/or repairing your own clothes, blankets, curtains and other items saves you money and allows you to stockpile certain items more efficiently.
  1. Harvest the rain: By collecting rainwater, you save on your own water bill but you also develop an ability to replenish a supply that has been cut off. Also, collected rainwater can be used for your garden. [Tip: Don’t buy an expensive rain barrel, though – make one.]
  1. Make your own toiletries: With just a few basic ingredients you can make and stock up on basic toiletry and cleaning supplies, to keep your spaces tidy even when the world is in upheaval. Personal hygiene and cleanliness, after all, helps cut down on illness. Some tips on getting started are here.

8 Survival Foods You Can Forage For In The Dead Of Winter

I’ve instructed a number of field classes on foraging for wild foods and have written about it quite a bit, too. The classes always took place in the spring, summer or fall and the articles focused on plants, berries and other wild edibles that were easy to find on a sunny, summer day. But what about winter? Well, I’ve done that, too — and it’s tough.
For the record, we’re talking about serious winter. Not a cold night in the desert or a brisk wind in the southeast. This is below-zero stuff.
It is possible to find food in the winter, but let’s first look at four factors that will complicate your winter foraging:
1. It’s cold. This not only affects what you’re trying to find and gather, but it’ll eventually affect you. Cold also can freeze the ground, which will limit your access to some roots and tubers.
2. There’s snow. Snow covers and obscures many of the things you’ll be looking for. You need to look for clues above the snow. An oak tree is a good indication that acorns may be on the ground under the snow. Some oak trees hold their leaves on their branches over the winter.

Ginger tea shown to naturally kill cancer, dissolve kidney stones, improve liver health and more

(NaturalNews) Ginger is another example of a 'superfood' that has been prized for thousands of years for its amazing health benefits, and which is now being scientifically proven to have more beneficial properties than almost anyone had previously imagined.

Recent research has shown that – among its many other health-promoting qualities – ginger may be up to 10,000 times more effective at fighting cancer than chemotherapy.

As reported by Food Revolution:

"The new study titled, '6-Shogaol Inhibits Breast Cancer Cells and Stem Cell-Like Spheroids by Modulation of Notch Signaling Pathway and Induction of Autophagic Cell Death,' identified powerful anti-cancer stem cell activity in 6-shogaol, a pungent constituent of ginger produced when the root is either dried or cooked. The study also found that the cancer-destroying effects occurred at concentrations that were non-toxic to non-cancerous cells – a crucial difference from conventional cancer treatments that do not exhibit this kind of selective cytotoxicity and therefore can do great harm to the patient."

Cancer stem cells are sometimes called "mother cells" because they are the precursors to the "daughter cells" that multiply to create tumors. As the researchers noted, chemotherapy is not effective at killing these mother cells and therefore in many cases, the cancer returns.

From the research findings:

"Cancer stem cells pose serious obstacle to cancer therapy as they can be responsible for poor prognosis and tumour relapse. To add into the misery, very few chemotherapeutic compounds show promise to kill these cells. Several researchers have shown that cancer stem cells are resistant to paclitaxel, doxorubicin, 5-fluorouracil, and platinum drugs [8, 16]. CSCs are thus an almost unreachable population in tumours for chemotherapy. Therefore any compound, that shows promise towards cancer stem cells, is a highly desirable step towards cancer treatment and should be followed up for further development."

Ginger has been proven to be effective in killing ovarian and prostate cancer cells – further research could lead to more effective treatments that do not harm healthy cells in the human body, unlike chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Other health benefits

Aside from ginger's potential use in fighting cancer, the root has many other properties that make it one of Nature's most powerful remedies.

From Holistic Living Tips:

"Due to its strong anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitic, anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties, ginger is considered to be one of the most powerful foods of the 21st century.

"Ginger is rich in Vitamin C, magnesium and other minerals which make it extremely beneficial for your overall health. It is well known by its long history of use for improving digestion and immunity, relieving pain and fighting cardiovascular diseases, asthma and many other health issues."

Boost your health with ginger tea

One of the best ways to reap the health-promoting properties of ginger is by drinking ginger tea. My own remedy for numerous common ailments is to simply chop up some fresh ginger into small chunks and then boil it in water for about 15–20 minutes. I like the taste without adding any sweetener, but some may find it a bit overpowering. In my experience, ginger tea is one of the best methods for fighting the onset of a cold, treating indigestion and strengthening my own immune system.

Holistic Living Tips provides a recipe that combines the health-boosting properties of both ginger and turmeric, blended with coconut milk and sweetened with honey.

The recipe is as follows:

Ingredients:

Organic honey
1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon of ground turmeric
Coconut milk
A cup of water

Method of preparation:

The preparation of ginger tea is extremely easy. First, boil some water, add turmeric and ginger and let it simmer for 7-10 minutes. Next, add the milk and then strain the tea in a cup.

Do yourself a favor and start drinking ginger tea on a regular basis. It's a delicious way to treat minor ailments, and may even prevent you from developing cancer.

10 Things You Throw Away That Can Be Used For Survival

How much trash do you throw away each day? As a survivalist, you need to look at all of the items that you have on hand – including what you may toss in the trash – and think how else you could use them.
We’re definitely not saying that you should hoard everything and throw away nothing, but there are still a lot of things that we all commonly throw away that can be immensely useful when it comes to survival — and that may end up saving your life.
Here are 10 commonly discarded items that you can use for survival:
1. Old towels and rags. Almost all of us have old towels and rags lying around somewhere. Don’t throw those old towels and rags away; instead, wash them and set them aside for when you’ll need them in a survival situation. You can use them to make bandages, stitch them together to form blankets, or rip them up into smaller shreds to start a fire.
Restore Your Old Blades To A Razor’s Edge In Just Seconds!
2. Gardening hose. Garden hoses (obviously) are used mostly for transferring water from one place to another place.

Antibiotics given to children causes them to become OBESE later in life, research shows

(NaturalNews) There are many reasons why antibiotics should not be over-prescribed, the most important being that doing so has led to the evolution of drug-resistant superbugs that don't respond to traditional treatment.

Now, however, researchers have discovered another phenomenon related to prescription antibiotics: Their use in children under the age of two can cause obesity later in life, the UK's Daily Mail reports.

Just three or four courses of antibiotics is linked to obesity later on, researchers at the University of Colorado and University of Pennsylvania found.

"Antibiotics have been used to promote weight gain in livestock for several decades, and our research confirms that antibiotics have the same effects on humans," said study author Dr. Frank Irving Scott.

"Our results do not imply that antibiotics should not be used when necessary, but rather encourage both doctors and parents to think twice about antibiotic usage in infants in the absence of well-established indications," he added.

'Our work supports the theory that antibiotics may progressively alter the composition and function of the gut microbiome'

The Daily Mail further reported that a team of scientists performed a large study in the UK to gauge the reported link between antibiotic use before the age of two and obesity by age four. They discovered that children who had taken antibiotics at a 1.2 percent absolute – and 25 percent relative – had an increased risk of developing childhood obesity. The risk became more profound the more antibiotics the kids had been prescribed.

"Our work supports the theory that antibiotics may progressively alter the composition and function of the gut microbiome, thereby predisposing children to obesity as is seen in livestock and animal models," Scott said.

In the U.S. alone, antibiotics are prescribed during an estimated 49 million outpatient pediatric visits each year. Also, more than 10 million of those prescriptions are handed out to children for no clear reason.

The researchers, who published their findings in the journal Gastroenterology, were surprised by their findings, since there has been an increased awareness regarding the risks of over-prescribing antibiotics, namely the development of antibiotic resistance.

Additionally, as the Daily Mail reported:

"Furthermore, children are known to face other tangible risks to antibiotics, including dermatologic, allergic and infectious complications, inflammatory bowel disease and autoimmune conditions.

"The scientists noted that further research must assess whether these findings remain into adolescence and young adulthood."

We knew that, too, about the gut microbiome

They also note that researchers should examine whether specific types of antibiotics are more likely to cause the childhood obesity.

Currently the American Gastroenterological Association is promoting and sharing research related to antibiotics and obesity, as well as how they affect the gut microbiome, in order to better inform doctors and patients alike.

In 2012, Natural News reported on how misuse of antibiotics puts your health at risk, and that one of the worst things to do is to give an infant antibiotics, since these indiscriminately kill both the good and the bad kinds of bacteria:

"One round of antibiotics will permanently change the baby's immune system, and because a majority of neuro-chemicals are also made in the gut, the baby's neurology is also altered. The antibiotics that have been touted as the savior of mankind from disease are costing us in cancer and degenerative, chronic diseases."

After just the first dose, vitally important gut bacteria are decimated, thus altering the body's immune system and it's ability to make appropriate immune cells. "Fungus in the gut is now unopposed and begins to proliferate unchecked by the friendly bacteria. After fungus sets up strongholds then parasites move in to share the bounty of food and minerals meant to feed the body. This is the first step for chronic disease and cancer," we reported.

20 Cancer Symptoms Women Are Most Likely to Ignore

The routine test is not the only thing you should rely on when it comes to preventing cancer. Carefully listen to what your body says to you and notice anything different, odd or simply unexplainable.
We have listed some of the signs that are often overlooked:
1. Wheezing and shortness of breath
Patients diagnosed with lung cancer first notice their inability to catch breath.
2. Chronic cough and chest pain
A few types of cancer, like leukemia and lung tumor, often cause symptoms that tend to mimic severe cough or bronchitis. Patients with lung cancer explain having a chest pain that reaches their shoulder or spread down their arm.
3. Frequent fever and infections
These are common signs of leukemia, or cancer of blood cells that starts off in bone marrow. In this condition the marrow produces abnormal white blood cells, and affects the ability of human body to fight infections.
4. Difficulty swallowing
This is often linked to esophageal or throat cancer. In some cases it is the first sign of lung cancer.
5. Swollen lymph nodes or lumps on the neck, underarm, or the groin
Enlarged nodes may indicate certain changes in the lymphatic system. This is often a sign of cancer.
6. Excessive bruising or constant bleeding
This is often an indication that there is something abnormal happening with the platelets and red blood cells. In some cases, this is a sign of leukemia. As time goes by, leukemia cells overcrowd red blood cells and platelets, which impairs the ability of human body to carry oxygen and clot.
7. Weakness and fatigue
General fatigue and weakness indicate many types of cancer, and you will have to associate them with other symptoms. But, if you feel exhausted without any particular explanation, and if it does not change even when you sleep enough, make sure you talk to your doctor.
8. Bloating and abdominal weight gain
Women with ovarian cancer say to have noticed unexplained abdominal bloating that had occurred suddenly and had continued on and off for a pretty long time.
9. Feeling full and unable to eat
This is another indicator of ovarian cancer. Women remember having no appetite and being unable to eat, even when they have not eaten anything for long.
10. Pelvic and abdominal pain
Pain and cramping in the abdominal area and pelvis sometimes go in a combination with bloating. These two symptoms are a common signal of ovarian cancer. Leukemia may also cause abdominal pain, that occurs as a result of an enlarged spleen.
11. Rectal bleeding or bloody stool
This is a common sign of colorectal cancer. Blood in the stool is another reason to consult your doctor and do a colonoscopy.
12. Unexplained weight loss
It is an early signal of colon and other kinds of digestive cancers. Weight loss is also a sign of cancer that has reached the liver, and thus affects appetite and the body’s ability to remove waste.
13. Upset stomach and stomachache
Having cramps and upset stomach may be a sign of colorectal cancer.
14. Red, sore, swollen breast
This indicates inflammatory breast cancer. Consult to your doctor about any change to your breast.
15. Nipple changes
This is common change that women notice before being diagnosed with breast cancer. Nipples may flatten, invert and turn sideways.
16. Unusually heavy and painful periods and bleeding between periods
This may indicate endometrial and uterine cancer. Schedule a transvaginal ultrasound if you notice anything unusual than your normal period.
17. Swelling of facial features
Patients diagnosed with lung cancer usually notice puffiness, swelling, or even redness. Small cells of lung tumors block blood vessels in the chest and the blood cannot flow from the head and face.
18. Sore and skin lump that does not heal, forms a crust and bleeds
Get more informed about the types of skin cancer. It could be melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma. Check the skin for any unusual growths and marks.
19. Changes in nails
This may indicate a few types of cancer. Brown or black dots under the nail may be a sign of skin cancer. Newly discovered enlargement of the finger ends and nails that go down over the tips may signal lung cancer. Pale and white nails sometimes indicate liver cancer.
20. Back pain or pain in the lower right side
For many cancer patients this is the first signal of liver cancer. Breast cancer is often diagnosed after the patient complaints of a back pain, which is triggered by the pressure tumor applies backward into the chest, or in cases when cancer reaches the spine and ribs.
Regardless of whether you are a man or a woman, you should pay special attention to any unexplainable change in your body and energy. This will help you detect signs of a cancer in its early stage. The sooner you determine the problem, the sooner you can do something and take any necessary steps in order to start off the healing process.
You do not have to have cancer in order to live healthy; anti-cancer lifestyle is mandatory for everyone, because prevention is the best option when it comes to chronic diseases. There are cases where patients have been diagnosed with cancer even 10 years after their contact with cancer-causing substances, such as tobacco, chemicals, radiation, cell phones, poor nutrition.
We bet that in 10 years you will find enough time to change this.
Cancer is a life-threatening disease that involves uncontrolled growth and spreading of abnormal cells. The “cure” for this disease includes controlling abnormal growth and preventing the spread.
Human body has the power to heal, and this ability depends on your lifestyle choices. These involve good diet, physical activity, good sleep and sun exposure. You should also find a way to canalize your emotional stress, in order to help your body to maintain a proper balance.
The only problem with cancer does not occur only when patients ignore health principles. Invasive and risky conventional treatments like surgery, chemotherapy and radiation make the situation even worse.
This may come as a surprise to you, but a recent study has found that certain cancers, including invasive kinds, can go away without such treatments, and this happens more often that you can imagine.
Today, many experts believe that patients diagnosed with cancer are more likely to die from chemo than the disease itself.
According to Dr Tullio Simoncini, an Italian oncologist, the mortality rate of cancer is 90%, and such alarming number says much about the “effectiveness” of such treatments, even though they are still believed to be the base of cancer treatment.
Cancer rates keep rising
As the American Cancer Society reported, there had been certain estimations according to which there would be one and a half million of new cancer patients in the US by 2009, not to mention the million of cases of patients with basal and squamous cell skin cancers.
About 1,500 people are expected to die from cancer each day, which would be about one in four death cases in the US.
By 2030, about 26 million people will be diagnosed with cancer every year, and 17 millions will die from it.
But, many of these cancers can be prevented.
The American Cancer Society believed that by 2009, about a third of more than 562,000 expected deaths in the US would be linked to overweight, obesity, physical inactivity and malnutrition. 169,000 deaths will be caused by smoking.
Vitamin D deficiency, or insufficient sun exposure is another overlooked cause of cancer death, and this one could be easily changed.
It is a fact that half of the cancer cases may disappear if people were to raise their vitamin D levels.
What should you do if you suspect to have cancer?
The best advice is to seek for the help of a knowledgeable natural health care practitioner. From this point, the choice is more like a personal decision, but having your mind open is another good advice.
People decide to do chemo because they are taught to believe that it is the only solution. As we have already written about this, there are many other much safer options, including baking soda, and we bet that you already have some in your home.
Sodium bicarbonate can be considered as a natural chemo, but it kills cancer cells only, without bringing the side effects and costs of chemo treatment. As Dr Mark Sircus says, the only problem with this treatment is its price. It is super cheap. Why is this so important? Well, there is no profit in it, so no one wants to promote it.
Dr Simoncini has a great experience, and according to him, 99 percent of both breast and bladder cancers can be cured within six days, without any surgery, chemo, and radiation. The treatment only requires a local infiltration device, like a catheter, to carry sodium bicarbonate straight to the affected area in the breast or bladder.
In his video you can actually make a difference by comparing the condition before and after the treatment.
Dr Hamer has another similar approach. His German New Medicine (GNM) outlines that every disease, especially cancer, develops as a result of an unexpected shock experience. He believes that the cure of every disease lies in resolving any underlying emotional trauma.
Dr Hamer spent some time in prison, because he refused to disavow his medical findings and kept treating patients with such “unortodox” technique. He lives in exile and seeks asylum from persecution.
Keep your vitamin D level at an optimal range
Cancer patients should raise their vitamin D levels. Check the Internet for any lectures regarding this issue.
Calcitriol is the most powerful steroid hormone in the human body. When the body has sufficient amount of vitamin D, this hormone is produced in high amounts. As expected, most patients diagnosed with cancer havepoor levels of vitamin D.
