Catholic Prophecy:
PROPHECY OF THE POPES & SAINTS
PROPHECY OF THE POPES & SAINTS
St. Anthony the Abbot (4th Century)
Anthony the
Great or Antony the Great also known as Saint Anthony or Anthony of
Egypt, Anthony the Abbot, Anthony of the Desert, Anthony the Anchorite,
Anthony of Thebes, Abba Antonius and Father of All Monks, was a
Christian saint from Egypt, a prominent leader among the Desert
Fathers.
Men
will surrender to the spirit of the age. They will say that if they had
lived in our day, faith would be simple and easy. But in their day,
they will say, things are complex; the Church must be brought up to date
and made meaningful to the day's problems. When the Church and the
world are one, then those days are at hand.

St. Senanus, Ireland (6th Century)
Apparently
born to a Christian farm family. Educated by Saint Naul and a saintly
monk named Cassidan. Monk at Kilmanagh (Kilkenny). Founded a monastery
at Enniscorthy. Pilgrim to Rome and to Tours, a center of monasticism at
the time. Founded several churches and monasteries including houses at
Iniscarra. Spiritual teacher of Saint Aiden of Lindesfarne. Aquaintance
of Saint David of Wales, and friend of Saint Cannera of Inis Cathaig. In
later life he retired to Inish Cathaig (Scattery Island) on the river
Shannon; the river is believed to have been named for him. Bishop. Legend
says that he chased away the Cathach, a type of monstrous sea serpent,
from the island by ordering it, in the name of the Trinity, to depart.
Falsehood
will characterize that class of men who will sit in judgment to pass
sentence according to law: between the father and his son, litigations
will subsist. The clergy of the holy church will be addicted to pride
and injustice. Women will abandon feelings of delicacy, and cohabit with
men out of wedlock.

The Prophecy of St. Nilus, who lived around 400 AD:
"After the
year 1900, toward the middle of the 20th century, the people of that
time will become unrecognizable. When the time for the Advent of the
Antichrist approaches, people's minds will grow cloudy from carnal
passions, and dishonor and lawlessness will grow stronger. Then the
world will become unrecognizable. People's appearances will change, and
it will be impossible to distinguish men from women due to their
shamelessness in dress and style of hair. These people will be cruel and
will be like wild animals because of the temptations of the Antichrist.
There will be no respect for parents and elders, love will disappear,
and Christian pastors, bishops, and priests will become vain men,
completely failing to distinguish the right-hand way from the left. At
that time the morals and traditions of Christians and of the Church will
change. People will abandon modesty, and dissipation will reign.
Falsehood and greed will attain great proportions, and woe to those who
pile up treasures. Lust, adultery, homosexuality, secret deeds and
murder will rule in society.
At that
future time, due to the power of such great crimes and licentiousness,
people will be deprived of the grace of the Holy Spirit, which they
received in Holy Baptism and equally of remorse.
TradCatKnight Exclusive: "The Endtimes According to St. Nilus"
"The
Churches of God will be deprived of God-fearing and pious pastors, and
woe to the Christians remaining in the world at that time; they will
completely lose their faith because they will lack the opportunity of
seeing the light of knowledge from anyone at all. Then they will
separate themselves out of the world in holy refuges in search of
lightening their spiritual sufferings, but everywhere they will meet
obstacles and constraints. And all this will result from the fact that
the Antichrist wants to be Lord over everything and become the ruler of
the whole universe, and he will produce miracles and fantastic signs. He
will also give depraved wisdom to an unhappy man so that he will
discover a way by which one man can carry on a conversation with another
from one end of the earth to the other. At that time men will also fly
through the air like birds and descend to the bottom of the sea like
fish. And when they have achieved all this, these unhappy people will
spend their lives in comfort without knowing, poor souls, that it is
deceit of the Antichrist. And, the impious one! ? he will so complete
science with vanity that it will go off the right path and lead people
to lose faith in the existence of God in three hypostases.
"Then the
All-good God will see the downfall of the human race and will shorten
the days for the sake of those few who are being saved, because the
enemy wants to lead even the chosen into temptation, if that is
possible... then the sword of chastisement will suddenly appear and kill
the perverter and his servants."

St. Columcille/Columba (521-597)
Saint
Columba (Irish: Colm Cille, )was an Irish abbot and missionary credited
with spreading Christianity in present-day Scotland. He founded the
important abbey on Iona, which became a dominant religious and political
institution in the region for centuries. He is the Patron Saint of
Derry. He was highly regarded by both the Gaels of Dál Riata and the
Picts, and is remembered today as a Christian saint and one of the
Twelve Apostles of Ireland.
Seven years before the last day, the sea shall submerge Eirin [Ireland] in one inundation.

St. Malachy O'Morgair (1094 - 1148)
St. Malachy
has been given much recent attention due to his accurate predictions of
the past two popes. Saint Malachy was born in 1094 at Armagh, Ireland
and died on November 2, 1148.
St. Malachy was canonized in 1190 by Pope Clement III. This was the first papal canonization of an Irish saint.
While in
Rome in 1139 St. Malachy received a vision showing him all the Popes
from his day to the end of time. He wrote poetic descriptions of each of
the pontiffs and presented the complete manuscript to Pope Innocent II,
but the prophecies were forgotten in the Vatican until 1590.
These
mottoes in the prophecies usually refer to a family name, birthplace, a
coat-of-arms, or an office held before election to the papacy. For
example, Pope Pius II, who was Pope for just 26 days in 1503, was
prophesied by St. Malachy as "De Parvo Homine," which means 'from a
little man.' His family name was Piccolomini, Italian for "little man."
Also, St.
Malachy sometimed use the Pope's personal history to make a motto. Pope
Clement XIII (1758), who had conenctions with the government of the
Italian state of Umbria and whose emblem was a rose, was called by
Malachy 'Rosa Umbriae,' the "Rose of Umbria."
According to
the St. Malachy prophecies, only one Pope remains after Benedict XVI.
Below you will find the last 9 Popes as predicted by St. Malachy, each
beginning with the motto ascribed to the pontiff.
1. The Burning Fire. PIUS X. 1903-1914. This Pope showed a burning passion for spiritual renewal in the Church.
2. Religion Laid Waste.
BENEDICT XV. 1914-1922. During this Pope’s reign saw Communism move
into Russia where religious life was laid waste, and World War I with
the death of millions of Christians who were carnage in Flanders Field
and elsewhere.
3. Unshaken Faith.
PIUS XI. 1922-1939. This Pope faced tremendous pressure from fascist
and sinister powers in Germany and Italy, but he was an outspoken critic
of Communism and Fascism which enraged Hitler.
4. An Angelic Shepherd.
PIUS XII. 1939-1958. This Pope had an affinity for the spiritual world
and received visions which have not been made public. Peter Bander says
Pius XII "has emerged as one of the great Popes of all time," and he
"was in the truest sense of the word an Angelic Pastor to the flock..."
5. Pastor and Mariner.
JOHN XXIII. 1958-1963. John was a pastor to the world, much beloved,
and the Patriarch of Venice. The connection to "mariner" is thus
remarkable.
6. Flower of Flowers.
PAUL VI. 1963-1978. Paul’s coat-of-arms depicts three fleurs-de-lis,
corresponding to Malachay’s prophecy. His coat of arms included three
fleurs-de-lis (iris blossoms).
7. Of the Half Moon.
JOHN PAUL I. 1978-1978. John Paul I was elected Pope on August 26,
1978, when there was a half moon. He reigned 33 days, that is, about one
month, when he died, although many think he was murdered. He was the
109th Pope - is "De Medietate Lunae" (Of the Half Moon). The
corresponding pope was John Paul I (1978-78), who was born in the
diocese of Belluno (beautiful moon) and was baptized Albino Luciani
(white light). He became pope on August 26, 1978, when the moon appeared
exactly half full. It was in its waning phase. He died the following
month, soon after an eclipse of the moon.
8. The Labor of the Son.
JOHN PAUL II. 1978-2005. Pope John Paul II was the most traveled Pope
in history. He circled the globe numerous times, preaching to huge
audiences everywhere he went. He survived an assassination attempt. He
has written a book which has enjoyed a large circulation. Like the sun
which never ceases to labor and provides light daily, this Pope has been
incessant. He was born on May 18, 1920. On that date in the morning
there was a near total eclipse of the sun over Europe. Prophecy - The
110th Pope is "De Labore Solis" (Of the Solar Eclipse, or, From the Toil
of the Sun). Like the sun he came out of the East (Poland).
9. The Glory of the Olive.
The Order of St. Benedict has said this Pope will come from their
order. It is interesting that Jesus gave his apocalyptic prophecy about
the end of time from the Mount of Olives. This Pope will reign during
the beginning of the tribulation Jesus spoke of. The 111th prophesy is
"Gloria Olivae" (The Glory of the Olive). The Order of Saint Benedict
has claimed that this pope will come from their ranks. Saint Benedict
himself prophesied that before the end of the world his Order, known
also as the Olivetans, will triumphantly lead the Catholic Church in its
fight against evil.
10. PETER THE ROMAN
- The 112th prophesy
states: "In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will
reign Petrus Romanus, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations;
after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful
Judge will judge the people. The End."
Malachy’s final words,
"Rome, the seat of the Vatican, will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people."

Saint Hildegard of Bingen (12th Century)
The time is coming when princes and peoples will reject the authority of
the Pope. Some countries will prefer their own Church rulers to the
Pope. The German Empire will be divided.
Before the comet comes, many nations, the good excepted, will be
scourged by want and famine. The great nation in the ocean that is
inhabited by people of different tribes and descent will be devastated
by earthquake, storm, and tidal wave. It will be divided and, in great
part, submerged. That nation will also have many misfortunes at sea and
lose its colonies.
[After the] great Comet, the great nation will be devastated by
earthquakes, storms, and great waves of water, causing much want and
plagues. The ocean will also flood many other countries, so that all
coastal cities will live in fear, with many destroyed.
All sea coast cities will be fearful, and many of them will be destroyed
by tidal waves, and most living creatures will be killed, and even
those who escape will die from a horrible disease. For in none of those
cities does a person live according to the Laws of God.
A powerful wind will rise in the North, carrying heavy fog and the
densest dust, and it will fill their throats and eyes so that they will
cease their butchery and be stricken with a great fear.

Bishop Christianos Ageda (12th Century)
In the 20th century there will be wars and fury that will last a long
time; whole provinces shall be emptied of their inhabitants, and
kingdoms shall be thrown into confusion. In many places the land shall
be left untilled, and there shall be great slaughters of the upper
class. The right hand of the world shall fear the left, and the north
shall prevail over the south.

Abbot Werdin D'Orante (12th Century)
The great monarch and the great Pope will precede Antichrist. The
nations will be at war for four years and a great part of the world will
be destroyed. The Pope will go over the sea carrying the sign of
Redemption on his forehead. The great Monarch will come to restore peace
and the Pope will share in the victory.

John of Vitiguerro (13th Century)
The pope will change his residence and the Church will not be defended
for twenty-five months or more because, during all that time there will
be no Pope in Rome... After many tribulations, a Pope shall be elected
out of those who survived the persecutions.

Johannes Friede (1204-1257)
When the great time will come, in which mankind will face its last, hard
trial, it will be foreshadowed by striking changes in nature. The
alteration between cold and heat will become more intensive, storms will
have more catastrophic effects, earthquakes will destroy great regions,
and the seas will overflow many lowlands. Not all of it will be the
result of natural causes, but mankind will penetrate into the bowels of
the earth and will reach into the clouds, gambling with its own
existence. Before the powers of destruction will succeed in their
design, the universe will be thrown into disorder, and the age of iron
will plunge into nothingness.
When nights will be filled with more intensive cold and days with heat, a
new life will begin in nature. The heat means radiation from the earth,
the cold the waning light of the sun. Only a few years more and you
will become aware that sunlight has grown perceptibly weaker. When even
your artificial light will cease to give service, the great event in the
heavens will be near.

St. Vincent Ferrer (14th Century)
In the days of peace that are to come after the desolation of
revolutions and wars, before the end of the world, the Christians will
become so lax in their religion that they will refuse to receive the
Sacrament of Confirmation, saying, "It is an unnecessary Sacrament.

John of the Cleft Rock (14th Century)
Towards the end of the world, tyrants and hostile mobs will rob the
Church and the clergy of all their possessions and will afflict and
martyr them. Those who heap the most abuse upon them will be held in
high esteem.
At that time, the Pope with his cardinals will have to flee Rome in
tragic circumstances to a place where they will be unknown. The Pope
will die a cruel death in his exile. The sufferings of the Church will
be much greater than at any previous time in her history. But God will
raise a holy Pope, and the Angels will rejoice. Enlightened by God, this
man will rebuild almost the whole world through his holiness. He will
lead everyone to the true Faith. (Yves Dupont, Catholic Prophecy, Tan
Books and Publishers, 1973)

Maria Laach Monastery (16th Century)
In the 16th century, an unknown German monk in the Maria Laach monastery recorded this prophecy.
"The twentieth century will bring death and destruction, defection from
the Church; families, cities, and governments will go to pieces. It will
be the century of three great wars, which will follow each other in
decades and will become increasingly devastating and bloody. Not only
the Rhineland but all countries to the East and West will be laid
desolate. After Germany has lost a terrible war, there will soon follow
yet another. There will be no bread for the people and no hay for the
cattle. Poisonous vapors, created by human hand, will sink down,
destroying everything. Insanity will attack the spirit of man, and
unrestrained hate shall rage. Evil will destroy evil, and many innocents
shall perish."

Venerable Bartholomew Holzhauser (17th Century)
"The fifth period of the Church, which began circa 1520, will end with
the arrival of the holy Pope and of the powerful Monarch who is called
"Help From God" because he will restore everything. The fifth period is
one of affliction, desolation, humiliation, and poverty for the Church.
Jesus Christ will purify His people through cruel wars, famines,
plagues, epidemics, and other horrible calamities. He will also afflict
and weaken the Latin Church with many heresies. It is a period of
defections, calamities and exterminations. Those Christians who survive
the sword, plague and famines, will be few on earth.
"During this period, many men will abuse the freedom of conscience
conceded to them. It is of such men that Jude, the Apostle, spoke when
he said: 'These men blaspheme- whatever they do not understand; and they
corrupt whatever they know naturally as irrational animals do. . . They
feast together without restraint, feeding themselves, grumbling
murmurers, walking according to their lusts; their mouth speaketh proud
things, they admire people for the sake of gain; they bring about
division, sensual men, having not the spirit.'
TradCatKnight Exclusive: Ven. Holzhauser & the Endtimes
"During this unhappy period, there will be laxity in divine and human
precepts. Discipline will suffer. The Holy Canons will be completely
disregarded, and the Clergy will not respect the laws of the Church.
Everyone will be carried away and led to believe and to do what he
fancies, according to the manner of the flesh. They will ridicule
Christian simplicity; they will call it folly and nonsense, but they
will have the highest regard for advanced knowledge, and for the skill
by which the axioms of the law, the precepts of morality, the Holy
Canons and religious dogmas are clouded by senseless questions and
elaborate arguments. As a result, no principle at all, however holy,
authentic, ancient, and certain it may be, will remain free of censure,
criticism, false interpretations, modification and delimitation by man."
"These are evil times, a century full of dangers and calamities. Heresy
is everywhere, and the followers of heresy are in power almost
everywhere. Bishops, prelates, and priests say that they are doing their
duty, that they are vigilant, and that they live as befits their state
in life. In like manner, therefore, they all seek excuses. But God will
permit a great evil against His Church: Heretics and tyrants will come
suddenly and unexpectedly; they will break into the Church while
bishops, prelates, and priests are asleep. They will enter Italy and lay
Rome waste; they will burn down the churches and destroy everything."

devotion (to Our Lady of Good Success) throughout the centuries, making
known its origin and these apparitions in the 20th century. This will
be a time of great corruption of customs. The sacred sacrament of Holy
Orders will be ridiculed, oppressed and despised, for in doing this, one
scorns and defiles the Church of God, and even God Himself, represented
by His priests. The Demon will try to persecute the Ministers of the

Fr. Nectou, S.J. (18th century)
Died 1777
Father Nectou was the Jesuit Provincial in the South West of France fro
many years. The priests who knew him regarded him as a Saint and
Prophet. He prophesied the suppression of the Jesuit Order well before
its occurrence in 1773. After the suppression occurred as he predicted,
he lived as a secular priest in Poitiers. His public reputation for
holiness during this period induced a young grieving mother whose baby
had just died to bring it in hope to Father Nectou. It was attested by
several witnesses that he raised the baby from the dead and returned it
to its mother. He died in 1777 (roughly 20 years before the French
Revolution).
After having in the most minute circumstantial manner been foretold all
the horrible events of the first French Revolution, the Abbé Nectou
added to the Abbé Raux”
“‘A reaction will follow which shall be taken for a counter-revolution;
this shall last for some years; but this shall only be a patch sewed
together. There will be no schism; but the Church shall not yet triumph
in France; there will be more trouble.” 1
“A man disliked by France will be placed on the throne; a man of the
house of Orleans will be made king. It is only after this event that the
counter-revolution shall begin…” 2
“It shall not be effected by foreign powers; but two parties will be
formed in France which will fight unto death. The party of evil will at
first be stronger and the good side weaker. At that time there will be
such a terrible crisis that people will believe that the end of the
world has come. Blood will flow in many large cities. The very elements
will be convulsed. It will be like a little General Judgement.” 3
“A great multitude of persons shall perish in these calamitous times.
But the wicked shall never prevail. They indeed shall conspire for the
destruction of the Church, but time shall not be allowed them, because
this frightful crisis shall be of short duration. When all will be
considered lost, all will be found safe” 4
“During this revolution, which will very likely be general and not
confined to France. Paris will be destroyed so completely that twenty
years afterwards fathers walking over its ruins with their children will
be asked by them what kind of place that was; to whom they will answer:
'My child, this was a great city which God has destroyed on account of
her crimes.’…” 5
“The disaster will come to pass shortly after the power of England
begins to wane. This will be the sign. As when the fig tree begins to
sprout and produce leaves it is a certain sign that summer is near.
England shall in her turn experience a more frightful revolution that
that of France. It shall continue long enough to give time to France to
recover her strength then she will help England return to order and
peace…” 6
[version i] “When those things come to pass which will bring on the
triumph of the Church, then such confusion will reign on earth that
people will think God has permitted them to have their own contrary will
and that the provenance of God is not concerned about the world. The
confusion will be so general that men will not be able to think aright,
as if God had withheld His Providence from mankind, and that, during the
worst crisis, the best that can be done would be to remain where God
has placed us, and persevere in fervent prayers…”7
[version ii] “When one is close to these events which must bring the
triumph of the Church, the disorder will be so complete that you will
know nothing any more. When the moment comes for the last crisis, there
will be nothing other to do but remain where God will have placed us, to
contain themselves in its interior and to request, while waiting for
the passage of anger and justice divine…” 8
“Yes, Paris shall certainly be destroyed, but before this occurs, such
signs and portents shall be observed, that all good people will be
induced to fly away from it. After this most terrible event, everything
shall return to order; justice shall reign in the world, and the
counter-revolution shall be accomplished. The triumph of the Church will
then be so complete that nothing like it shall ever be seen, for this
will be the last victory of the Church upon earth. Those Christians who
are fortunate enough to survive will thank God for preserving them and
giving them the privilege of beholding this glorious triumph of the
Church”
“Misfortunes must arrive. Blood will run in torrents in North and the
South. The West will be saved because of its faith. But blood will run
so much in North and the South, that I see it running like the rain in
one day of great storm, and I see the horses treading blood up to their
straps. It is mainly in the cities that blood will run. The religion
will be persecuted, the ministers will be obliged to hide at least
temporarily. The churches will be closed a short time...Paris will be
destroyed in the middle of all these calamities, so destroyed that the
charm will pass there. At this point in time all will be saved, because
between the cry ‘All is lost’ and ‘All is saved’, it will so to speak
not have there intervals - time to transfer a wafer. The foreign powers
will be armed, will go against France. Russia will come to water its
horses in the Rhine, but they will not pass it...Russia will convert and
it will help France to return peace and peace in the whole
world...After the crisis, there will be a general council, in spite of
some oppositions made by the clergy itself. Then, there will one herd
and that only one Pasteur, because all infidels and all heretics (but
not the Jews whose mass will convert only after the death of the beast),
will return in the Latin Church, whose triumph will be continued until
the destruction of the Antichrist…”

The Ecstatic of Tours (19th Century)
Before the war breaks out again, food will be scarce and expensive.
There will be little work for the workers, and fathers will hear their
children crying for food. There will be earthquakes and signs in the
sun. Toward the end, darkness will cover the earth. When everyone
believes that peace is ensured, when everyone least expects it, the
great happening will begin. Revolution will break out in Italy almost at
the same time as in France. For some time the Church will be without a
Pope.

All states will be shaken by war and civil

Pope Pius IX (1878)
Pope Pius IX |
Since the whole world is against God and His Church, it is evident that
He has reserved the victory over His enemies to Himself. This will be
more obvious when it is considered that the root of all our present
evils is to be found in the fact that those with talents and vigor crave
earthly pleasures, and not only desert God but repudiate Him
altogether.
Thus it appears they cannot be brought back in any other way except
through an act that cannot be ascribed to any secondary agency, and thus
all will be forced to look to the supernatural...
There will come a great wonder, which will fill the world with
astonishment. This wonder will be preceded by the triumph of revolution.
The church will suffer exceedingly. Her servants and her chieftain will
be mocked, scourged, and martyred.

Blessed Anna Maria Taigi (19th Century)
Bl. Anna Maria Taigi |
Bl. Taigi was praised by Pope Benedict XV in her beatification on May
20, 1920 as being an exemplary wife and mother amid poor and trying
circumstances. She was frequently in ecstasy, worked miracles of
healing, read hearts, foretold deaths, and saw visions on the coming of
future events. She foretold the first two world wars of this century.
Eighteen years after her death, her body remained fresh and in a state
of perfect preservation as if it had been just buried the day before.
The following is her prophecy on the three days of darkness:
God will send two punishments: one will be in the form of wars,
revolutions and other evils; it shall originate on earth. The other will
be sent from Heaven. There shall come over the whole earth an intense
darkness lasting three days and three nights. Nothing can be seen, and
the air will be laden with pestilence which will claim mainly, but not
only, the enemies of religion. It will be impossible to use any man-made
lighting during this darkness, except blessed candles. He, who out of
curiosity, opens his window to look out, or leaves his home, will fall
dead on the spot. During these three days, people should remain in their
homes, pray the Rosary and beg God for mercy."
"All the enemies of the Church, whether known or unknown, will perish
over the whole earth during that universal darkness, with the exception
of a few whom God will soon convert. The air shall be infected by demons
who will appear under all sorts of hideous forms."
"Religion shall be persecuted, and priests massacred Churches shall be
closed, but only for a short time. The Holy Father shall be obliged to
leave Rome."

Marie-Julie Jahenny |
The crisis will explode suddenly; the punishments will be shared by all
and will succeed one another without interruption. The three days of
darkness will be on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. During these three
days of terrifying darkness, no windows must be opened because no one
will be able to see the earth and the terrible color it will have in
those days of punishment without dying at once.
No one outside a shelter will survive... red clouds like blood will move
across the sky. The crash of the thunder will shake the earth and
sinister lightning will streak the heavens out of season. The earth will
be shaken to its foundations. The sea will rise, its roaring waves will
spread over the continent.
The bodies of the wicked and the just will cover the ground.
Three-quarters of the population of the globe will disappear. Half the
population of France will be destroyed.

St. John Bosco
St. Don Bosco |
In the midst of this endless sea, two solid columns, a short distance
apart, soar high into the sky. One is surmounted by a statue of the
Immaculate Virgin, at whose feet a large inscription reads Auxilium
Christianorum (Help of Christians). The other, far loftier and sturdier,
supports a Host of proportionate size, and bears beneath is the
inscription Salus credentium (Salvation of believers).
The flagship commander -- the Roman Pontiff -- standing at the helm,
strains every muscle to steer his ship between the two columns, from
whose summits hang many anchors and strong hooks linked to chains. The
entire enemy fleet closes in to intercept and sink the flagship at all
costs. They bombard it with everything they have: books and pamphlets,
incendiary bombs, firearms, cannons. The battle rages ever more furious.
Beaked prows ram the flagship again and again, but to no avail, as
unscathed and undaunted, it keeps on its course. At times, a formidable
ram splinters a gaping hole in its hull, but immediately, a breeze from
the two columns instantly seals the gash.
Meanwhile, enemy cannons blow up; firearms and beaks fall to pieces;
ships crack up and sink to the bottom. In blind fury, the enemy takes to
hand-to-hand combat, cursing and blaspheming. Suddenly the Pope falls,
seriously wounded. He is instantly helped up, but struck a second time,
dies. A shout of victory rises from the enemy, and wild rejoicing sweeps
their ships. But no sooner is the Pope dead than another takes his
place. The captains of the auxiliary ships elected him so quickly that
the news of the Pope's death coincides with that of his successor’s
election. The enemy's self-assurance wanes.
Breaking through all resistance, the new Pope steers his ship safely
between the two columns; first, to the one surmounted by the Host, and
then the other, topped by the statue of the Virgin. At this point,
something unexpected happens. The enemy ships panic and disperse,
colliding with and scuttling each other.
Some auxiliary ships, which had gallantly fought alongside their
flagship, are the first to tie up at the two columns. Many others, which
had fearfully kept far away from the fight, stand still, cautiously
waiting until; the wrecked enemy ships vanish under the waves. Then they
too head for the two columns, tie up at the swinging hooks and ride
safe and tranquil beside their flagship. A great calm now covers the
sea. (Source: The Catholic Dispatch. Found at: Prophecy of St. John
Bosco.)
[1862 Prediction] There will be an Ecumenical Council in the next
century, after which there will be chaos in the Church. Tranquility will
not return until the Pope succeeds in anchoring the boat of Peter
between the twin pillars of Eucharistic Devotion and Devotion to Our
Lady. This will come about one year before the end of the century."

When asked if America will experience war on its soil, she replied, "No,
but at the end of this century America will be destroyed economically
by a series of natural disasters."

Leo XIII
Leo XIII |
On October 13, 1884, Leo had just completed a celebration of Mass in one
of the Vatican's private chapels. Standing at the foot of the altar, he
suddenly turned ashen and collapsed to the floor. After a few minutes
spent in what seemed like a coma, he revived and remarked to those
around him, "Oh, what a horrible picture I was permitted to see!" What
Leo had apparently seen, as described later by those who talked to him
at the time of his vision, was a period of about one hundred years when
the power of Satan would reach its zenith. That period was to be the
twentieth century. Leo was so shaken by the specter of the destruction
of moral and spiritual values, both inside and outside the Church, that
he composed a prayer which was to be said at the end of each Mass
celebrated anywhere in the Catholic Church. This prayer to Michael the
Archangel was said continuously until the Mass was restructured in the
Second Vatican council.

Pius X
Pius X |
During an audience for the general chapter of the Franciscan order in
1909, the pontiff appeared to enter a trance. Those present remained
motionless and silent. After a few moments, Pius opened his eyes, rose
from his seat, and cried, "What I have seen is terrifying! Will I be the
one, or will it be a successor? What is certain is that the Pope will
leave Rome and, in leaving the Vatican, he will have to pass over the
dead bodies of his priests!" He then cautioned the witnesses, "Do not
tell anyone this while I am alive."
Just before his death, Pius had another vision. "I have seen one of my
successors, of the same name, who was fleeing over the bodies of his
brethren. He will take refuge in some hiding place; but after a brief
respite, he will die a cruel death. Respect for God has disappeared from
human hearts. They wish to efface even God's memory. This perversity is
nothing less than the beginning of the last days of the world."

Pius XII
Pius XII |
There were occasional rumors of visions and "angelic" phenomena
associated with Pius XII during the entire duration of his papacy
(1939-58). After one of these mystical visions he reportedly told one of
his assistants, "Mankind must prepare itself for sufferings such as it
has never before experienced." He expressed dismay at what he saw facing
humanity in the not so distant future, describing those times as "the
darkest since the deluge."
