By His action of fasting He teaches us that the flesh can be overcome by the denial of the body and what pleasures it craves. The flesh has its instincts and cries out for the satisfaction of bread. But "man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes forth from the mouth of God." The first temptation attacks us all and like Adam we often fall to that gluttonous action of eating without thinking. The soul must establish its priority and it does so through the control of the sensual passion or eating and lusting.
Take time in your spiritual preparation for Easter to meditate upon your control of the body's appetites.
In the second temptation the world is featured. It is the world that seeks popularity.
Human respect and pride easily cause a man to fall from his spiritual dignity. What do others think of me. Now if Christ wanted to have a multitude all He had to do was fly through the air with the greatest of ease and the people would flock to this entertainer.
It would make divinity a three ringed circus event. Again in calmness featuring the interior power of Christ he remarks: "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord, thy God." The world is put in its place and the divine subordinates all to itself.
Finally, the third temptation is the high point of the demonic. Man cannot refuse riches and power. Do you see all the kingdoms of the world? The internet brings them to all daily and now the Lord is told by the great deceiver: "They are in my power." All Jesus need to do to have the people and the power is to worship the devil. Is this what our current leaders have behind their wholesale destruction of the doctrine of our Lord? It is said that Bergoglio need have only four years to change and modernize the Catholic Church. The response of our Lord then and now is clear: "The Lord your God is God alone and He alone shalt thou worship." Faithful Catholic will re-evaluate what is going on in the Mystical Body and they will discover the poison of modernism everywhere. Soon all will be rejected as diabolical and history will find Vatican II in the trash heap. All those priests, bishops and cardinals and even popes will be judged wanting because they failed to recognize the machinations of Satan in the Church itself.
They have failed us. They have failed to listen to Our Lady of Fatima. They have taken the hook, the line and the sinker of the demonic's quest to kill the Catholic Church. In the end the Immaculate Heart will triumph but we must speak the truth clearly and awaken all those who have eyes to see and ears to hear that what they see now and hear now is not Christ but a demon.
Dear brothers and sisters, these are the days of the great apostasy and it is so important for your salvation to know your faith, teach your children the faith and live it day after day. Do not be discouraged but be encouraged for the time of the chastisement is soon coming to an end and the era of our Lady will be one of great peace. The angels will come and console the Mystical Body and spiritual giants will roam our earth giving us leadership and love. Prepare the way of the Lord.

P.S. Health update: I am getting stronger and will meet with the surgeon on Wednesday to determine the procedure and the date. I will keep you posted.
