Entire USA Shaking from Ecuador Quake

Entire USA Shaking from Ecuador Quake; All Seismographs Still Quivering Hours Later!

Latest news on the Earth Changes happening...

A very unusual and frightening thing is taking place throughout the USA right now: The entire land mass of the country is vibrating.  It began with an explosive magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Ecuador at around 7:58 PM Eastern US Time and has not stopped since.

The entity which monitors earthquakes throughout the country is the US Geological Survey (USGS).  They run the Advanced National Seismic Sensors (ANSS) which is the “backbone” of all the earthquake monitoring throughout the nation.  The ANSS has about eighty-eight seismographs nationwide.
As shown below, with the exception of two seismographs that are not presently functioning, seismographs in the entire United States are showing ongoing quivering from the Ecuador Earthquake!  ALL OF THEM!  It’s almost as though the earthquake shook the planet and caused it to wobble!
While we may not actually feel the vibrating, the seismographs confirm it is taking place; but it is doing so at a depth we cannot feel.  Perhaps at the same 10 KM depth where the Ecuador earthquake took place.  While that vibrating goes on, it is loosening things beneath us.

As these vibrations continue, it is highly likely they will trigger other earthquakes throughout the US.  Areas which are prone to earthquakes, are more likely to experience new ones as this vibrating continues. As such, folks in California, Oregon and Washington should be prepared for a possible earthquake tonight or tomorrow.
Take a look for yourself at the 88 images below, taken from the ANSS Backbone at 11:16 PM eastern US time on April 16, 2016. The earthquake took place at 7:58 PM EDT and the seismographs have not stopped shaking since that event!

A massive, magnitude 7.8 Earthquake struck Ecuador, South America this evening and generated a Tsunami wave.  The image above shows the propagation of the wave throughout the Pacific Ocean.
Folks in its path should prepare to move to higher ground.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center did issue a Warning for a Tsunami from 0.3 to 1 meter in height, for Ecuador, Peru, Columbia, Panama and Mexico, but says other areas may just see a non-damaging increase in tide level.
Since the effect of Tsunamis varies greatly depending upon the ocean floor where they come ashore, we believe it best to advise the public of the propagation of this Tsunami so the public can make its own choice as to whether or not to move to higher ground.
To properly calculate the time, be aware that the earthquake took place at 19:58 EASTERN US TIME which is 23:58 UTC.  Using these times, you can now compute the arrival of the tsunami in your area based upon your time zone.

“California will be Rocked by a Strong Mega-Quake” U.S.G.S. Scientists Say

“California will be Rocked by a Strong Mega-Quake” U.S.G.S. Scientists Say

Scientists are virtually certain that California will be rocked by a strong earthquake in the next 30 years. Now they say the risk of a mega-quake is more likely than previously thought.
The chance of a magnitude-8 quake striking the state in the next three decades jumped to 7 percent from 4.7 percent, mainly because scientists took into account the possibility that several faults can shake at once, releasing seismic energy that results in greater destruction.
While the risk of a mega-quake is higher than past estimates, it’s more likely—greater than 99 percent chance—that California will be rattled by a magnitude-6.7 jolt similar in size to the 1994 Northridge disaster. The chance of a Northridge-size quake was slightly higher in Northern California than Southern California—95 percent versus 93 percent, according to a report released Tuesday by the U.S. Geological Survey.

“California is earthquake country, and residents should live every day like it could be the day of a big one,” USGS geophysicist and lead author Ned Field said.
The latest seismic calculations largely mirror previous findings issued by the USGS in 2008. Back then, scientists also determined that California faced an almost certain risk of experiencing a Northridge-size quake.
The new report included newly discovered fault zones and the possibility that a quake can jump from fault to fault. Because of this knowledge, the odds of a catastrophic quake—magnitude 8 or larger—in the next 30 years increased.
There is a 93 percent chance of a magnitude 7 or larger occurring over the same period and a 48 percent chance of a magnitude 7.5—similar to previous estimates.

Thousands of quakes every year hit California, sandwiched between two of Earth’s major tectonic plates, the Pacific and North American plates. Most are too small to be felt.
Of the more than 300 faults that crisscross the state, the southern segment of the San Andreas Fault—which runs from central California to the Salton Sea near the U.S.-Mexico border—remains the greatest threat because it hasn’t ruptured in more than three centuries.
The report found there is a 19 percent chance in the next 30 years that a Northridge-size quake will unzip the southern section compared to a 6.4 percent chance for the northern section, partly because it last broke in 1906.

The southern San Andreas is “ready to have an earthquake because it’s really locked and loaded,” Field said.
The report is a forecast, but it is not a prediction. Experts still cannot predict exactly where or when a quake will hit anywhere in the world.

In recent years, the USGS and several universities have been testing an early warning system designed to detect the first waves of a jolt and send out an alert before the slower-moving damaging waves. Proponents have said a few seconds of notice can allow trains to slow down, utilities to shut off gas lines and people to duck for cover. The public alert system—still in pilot phrase—needs more funding before it can be rolled out statewide.

Proof of MEGA EARTHQUAKES about to increase.

ALERT: Scientists Warn Of ‘Mega Quake’ As Five Earthquakes Strike in 48 hours. There have been FIVE large earthquakes recorded the last 48 hours including a major one in southern Japan which destroyed buildings and left at least 45 people injured, after Myanmar was rocked on Wednesday. Tremors were also felt as far as 500 miles away at the national park in India where the Royal couple Kate and William were visiting.
NINE large earthquakes were recorded the last SEVEN days. Scientists have raised the alarm that the unusual number of quakes occurring at the moment could be a precursor to “the big one” – indicating that a cataclysmic mega-quake might be on its way in the next few days. Scientists say that the above number of significant quakes across south Asia and the Pacific this year likely means that we are about to experience an earthquake the size of the Nepal quake of 2015 in which 8,000 people died.
Roger Bilham, seismologist of University of Colorado, said: “The current conditions might trigger at least four earthquakes greater than 8.0 in magnitude, and if they delay, the strain accumulated during the centuries provokes more catastrophic mega earthquakes.”
Five strong earthquakes the last 48 hours. Today a magnitude 6.2 in Guatemala. NINE strong earthquakes the last 7 days. A single magnitude 8.0 earthquake in a populated area would be a disaster of historic proportions. If we were to see four of them like Roger Bilham is projecting, that would be a complete and utter nightmare. It is important to keep in mind that a magnitude 8.0 earthquake would be many times larger than the twin earthquakes that hit Japan.
Why is Asia shaking so violently all of a sudden? Does this shaking bode ill for other areas along the “Ring of Fire” including the west coast of the United States?

Scientists fear ‘the Big One’ is COMING as FOUR major earthquakes strike in 48 hours — FEARS that a catastrophic earthquake is building today grew after a fourth major tremor struck the same region in just 48 hours. There have been three large earthquakes recorded today, including a major one in southern Japan which destroyed buildings and left at least 45 people injured, after Myanmar was rocked yesterday.
Yesterday tremors were also felt as far as 500 miles away at the national park in India where the Royal couple Kate and William were visiting. Today The Japanese Red Cross Kumamoto Hospital confirmed admitting 45 injured patients, including five with series problems after a quake of magnitude 6.2 to 6.5 and a series of strong after shocks ripped through Kumamoto city. Several buildings were damaged or destroyed and at least six people are believed to be trapped under homes in Mashiki and local reports said one woman was rescued in critical condition.

Largest Earthquakes in the World Since 1900

A magnitude-7.8 earthquake shook Ecuador’s central coast on Saturday. The country’s vice president called it the strongest to hit the country in decades. Here is a list of some of the world’s strongest earthquakes since 1900:

May 22, 1960: A magnitude-9.5 earthquake in southern Chile and ensuing tsunami kill at least 1,716 people.

March 28, 1964: A magnitude-9.2 quake in Prince William Sound, Alaska, kills 131 people, including 128 from a tsunami.

Dec. 26, 2004: A magnitude-9.1 quake in Indonesia triggers an Indian Ocean tsunami, killing 230,000 people in a dozen countries. FULL LIST

Japanese city covered in mysterious foam after earthquake

An unexplained carpet of foamy bubbles filled streets in the centre of the southern Japanese city of Fukuoka in the early hours of Saturday morning – shortly after tremors from a devastating earthquake of magnitude 7.3 shook the town. Twitter users posted pictures of the mysterious foam, with one calling it “disgusting”.
“I saw it just after the earthquake,” said Kazuki Nabeta, who lives in the busy central district of Tenjin, where the bubbles were found. Some have speculated that the earthquake may have caused an underground pipe to burst. “People were posting pictures on Twitter and it was near my house, so I went out to have a look,” said Mr Nabeta. “There was a fire engine there. There wasn’t anything special about it – it was normal foam.” FULL REPORT

40 Volcanoes Are Erupting Right Now, and 34 of Them Are Along the Ring of Fire

You may not have noticed, but our planet is becoming increasingly unstable.  According to Volcano Discovery, 40 volcanoes around the globe are erupting right now, and only 6 of them are not along the Ring of Fire.  If that sounds like a very high number to you, that is because it is a very high number.  As I have written about previously, there were a total of 3,542 volcanic eruptions during the entire 20th century.  When you divide that number by 100, that gives you an average of about 35 volcanic eruptions per year.  So the number of volcanoes that are erupting right now is well above the 20th century’s average for an entire calendar year.  And of course we are witnessing a tremendous amount of earthquake activity as well.  Nepal was just hit by the worst earthquake that it had seen in 80 years, and scientists are telling us that the Himalayas actually dropped by an astounding 3 feet as a result of that one earthquake.  How much more does our planet have to shake before people start paying attention?
Of course the things that we have been seeing lately are part of a much larger long-term trend.  Seismic activity appears to have been getting stronger over the past few decades, and now things really seem to be accelerating.  The following is how one news source recently summarized what we have been witnessing…
If it seems like earthquakes and erupting volcanoes are happening more frequently, that’s because they are. Looking at global magnitude six (M6) or greater from 1980 to 1989 there was an average of 108.5 earthquakes per year, from 2000 to 2009 the planet averaged 160.9 earthquakes per year: that is a 38.9% increase of M6+ earthquakes in recent years. Unrest also seems to be growing among the world’s super-volcanoes. Iceland (which is home to some of the most dangerous volcanoes on the planet), Santorini in Greece, Uturuncu in Bolivia, the Yellowstone and Long Valley calderas in the U.S., Laguna del Maule in Chile, Italy’s Campi Flegrei – almost all of the world’s active super-volcanic systems are now exhibiting some signs of inflation, an early indication that pressure is building in these volcanic systems.
But of course most Americans are never going to care about any of this until it starts affecting them personally.
Well, perhaps they should start paying attention to the warning signs.  In recent weeks we have seen significant earthquakes in Michigan, Texas, Mississippi, California, Idaho And Washington.  In addition, it is being reported that pressure is building in dormant volcanoes in Arizona and California.  Just because we have not had a killer earthquake or a large volcanic eruption in the U.S. in recent years does not mean that it will always be that way.  Right now the entire planet appears to be waking up, and this especially seems to be true of the Ring of Fire.
If you are not familiar with the Ring of Fire, just imagine a giant ring that runs around the outer perimeter of the Pacific Ocean.  Approximately 90 percent of all earthquakes and approximately 75 percent of all volcanic eruptions occur within this area, and the entire west coast of North America is considered to be part of the Ring of Fire.
For so long, the west coast has been incredibly blessed not to have experienced a major seismic event.  But scientists tell us that it is only a matter of time.
And right now, just about every other part of the Ring of Fire is shaking violently.
For example, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake just hit Japan on Wednesday…
A magnitude-6.8 earthquake that shook northeast Japan on Wednesday was an aftershock of the devastating 2011 quake that triggered a massive tsunami and nuclear power plant meltdown.
“We consider this morning’s earthquake to be an aftershock of the 2011 Northeastern Pacific Earthquake,” said Yohei Hasegawa, an official at the Japanese meteorological agency.
The temblor, which struck just after 6 a.m. local time (5 p.m. ET Tuesday), was sparked by the Pacific tectonic plate “subducting,” or moving under, the main land plate, he added.
Hasegawa warned that more tremors may be on the way.
One Japanese expert is warning that Japan “might have entered an era of great earthquakes and volcanic eruptions“, and considering the immense devastation that the great earthquake and tsunami of 2011 caused, that is a very sobering assessment.
Meanwhile, a series of very strong earthquakes have struck Papua New Guinea recently as well.  The following comes from the Washington Post…
A powerful earthquake rattled Papua New Guinea on Thursday, the fourth strong quake to hit the South Pacific island nation in a week. The temblor prompted officials to issue a local tsunami warning, but it was lifted shortly afterward with no reports of damage.
The 7.1-magnitude quake struck about 150 kilometers (94 miles) southwest of the town of Panguna on Bougainville Island at a depth of 23 kilometers (14 miles), the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
Once again, just because things have always been a certain way does not mean that they will always be that way.
As Americans, we are not accustomed to being concerned about major earthquakes and massive volcanic eruptions, but that could soon change in a big way.
The truth is that our planet and our sun are changing in ways that are unpredictable and that our scientists don’t completely understand.
For example, a recent LiveScience article discussed the fact that scientists are deeply puzzled by the fact that the magnetic field of our planet is getting weaker 10 times faster than previously believed…
Scientists already know that magnetic north shifts. Once every few hundred thousand years the magnetic poles flip so that a compass would point south instead of north. While changes in magnetic field strength are part of this normal flipping cycle, data from Swarm have shown the field is starting to weaken faster than in the past. Previously, researchers estimated the field was weakening about 5 percent per century, but the new data revealed the field is actually weakening at 5 percent per decade, or 10 times faster than thought. As such, rather than the full flip occurring in about 2,000 years, as was predicted, the new data suggest it could happen sooner.

Yellowstone Eruption In 2016? Shocking New Video Shows What Is Really Going on at Yellowstone

Over the past week, our planet has been hit by large earthquake after large earthquake, and according to Volcano Discovery there are 38 volcanoes around the world that are erupting right now.  We have seen a dramatic spike in global seismic activity that is unlike anything that we have seen in ages, and that is why what is going on at Yellowstone is so incredibly alarming.  Geologists tell us that a full-blown eruption of the Yellowstone supervolcano would have up to 2,000 times the power of the Mount St. Helens volcanic eruption of 1980, and approximately two-thirds of the country would immediately become uninhabitable.  As you will see below, there are signs that something big is getting ready to happen at Yellowstone, and if it does erupt all of our lives will be permanently changed forever.

I want to share with you some footage from Yellowstone that was recorded on Thursday night.  In this video, it appears to be as bright as day even though it is the middle of the night, you can see a whole host of geysers steaming violently, and Old Faithful just keeps going off over and over…

This stunning footage was posted by a YouTube user known as Kat Martin 2016, and the following is what she had to say about the video that you just saw…
There are places s(t)eaming I have never seen steam before….and also note that the bright ground is back. There are no shadows, so it is not from above! As you know the cameras were froze up last night, so we could not see what was going ….or so we thought LOL…I found a way. Somehow (don’t ask me how), the Geyser Observation Study site was able to capture the ENTIRE night with NO freeze ups and cutting in and out….how is THAT? Anyway, I got it and slowed it down so you can see better. Old Faithful had weird seismos last night, and was going off constantly.
But it wasn’t just that one night.  The weird activity at Yellowstone has continued, and you can watch even more recent footage that Kat Martin has posted right here and right here.
So what does this mean?
I don’t know, but watching that footage definitely got my attention.
And it is interesting to note that just a few weeks ago the Shoshone River changed color and started boiling without any warning whatsoever
The Shoshone River, near Yellowstone National Park, suddenly and without warning started boiling, changed color and began to emit a sulfuric odor on March 25. Nearby witnesses wondered if they were “all going to die.” The current consensus among geologists and other experts is that a portion of the Shoshone River began to boil, located near Cody, Wyoming, and a new Yellowstone vent has opened up.
As Mysterious Universe reports, the boiling river near Yellowstone runs just east of Yellowstone National Park. It is close enough to the park and super volcano to be a “canary in a coal mine” as it relates to unusual geothermic events. The event was initially recorded by Dewey Vanderhoff, a photographer who spotted the Shoshone River near Yellowstone boiling and noted other bizarre features in the river.
When a river located above a supervolcano that could wipe out most of the country starts boiling, you would think that would make headline news all over the nation.
But it didn’t.
It would be exceedingly difficult to overstate the potential danger that Yellowstone poses to the United States.  Other than an extremely large asteroid or meteor, it is hard to imagine any natural disaster that would pose a greater threat.  The following comes from an excellent article by Steve Elwart
The Yellowstone Caldera, or cauldron, sits on top of North America’s largest volcanic field. Four hundred miles under the Earth’s surface is a magma ‘hotspot’ that reaches up to just 30 miles below ground level before spreading out over an area of 300 miles across three states.
Over all this sits the volcano.
While most scientists believe the probability of a major eruption is very small, there are signs that have some analysts worried, and most agree the volcano holds catastrophic potential.  It could blast 240 cubic miles of ash, rocks and lava into the atmosphere, rendering about two-thirds of the nation immediately uninhabitable, according to some estimates, and plunge the world into a “nuclear winter.”
That certainly does not sound good.
And as I mentioned above, volcanic activity all over the planet is rising.  38 volcanoes are erupting at the moment, and it seems like we hear about another new eruption almost every day now.
But let us hope that Yellowstone does not erupt any time soon.
There are approximately 3,000 earthquakes in the area around Yellowstone every single year, so it is a very seismically active region.  In the event of a full-scale eruption of Yellowstone, virtually the entire northwest United States will be completely destroyed.  Basically everything within a 100 mile radius would be immediately killed, Salt Lake City would literally be toast, and almost everyone and everything in Denver would be dead in short order.
Further away, volcanic ash would rain down continually for weeks.  Those foolish enough to step outside would quickly discover that the ash turns into a substance similar to cement in the lungs, and many would die from suffocation.
The amount of volcanic ash released by Yellowstone would be almost unimaginable.  In fact, it has been estimated that a full-blown eruption would dump a layer of volcanic ash that is at least 10 feet deep up to 1,000 miles away.
Food production in America would be almost totally wiped out, and the “volcanic winter” that would result from a Yellowstone eruption would dramatically cool the planet.  Some have projected that global temperatures would decline by up to 20 degrees.
In the end, the death, famine and destruction that we would experience would be vastly greater than anything that we have ever seen in the history of western civilization.
So yes, there is reason to be concerned that weird stuff is going on at Yellowstone right now.
Let us just hope and pray that we do not see an eruption in 2016 or any time soon.
