Air Force tips off 'Pride' month, goes pro-transgender

The Obama administration’s legacy of normalizing homosexual behavior in the U.S. Armed Forces reached new heights by kicking-off “Gay Pride Month” with a new pro-transgender policy in the Air Force.
Many in the military ranks are getting accustomed to the administration’s advancement of LGBT ‘rights’ every year, says Family Research Council (FRC) President Tony Perkins.
“After [Wednesday's] announcement, the Air
Force is taking its radicalism to new heights — announcing that it was
easing the discharge policy on transgenders in advance of the pride
event [this week],” Perkins reported. “Apparently, we're now relaxing
U.S. security standards in conjunction with P.C. holidays.”
As the first service chief to openly lobby
for the gender-confused, Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James insists
that the new policy is overdo and that the Air Force should be open to
just about everyone who wants to serve — regardless of their impact on
the effectiveness of fellow soldiers.
"Times change," James stated in December.
"From my point of view, anyone who is capable of accomplishing the job
should be able to serve."
The Air Force now soars above — or as
Perkins puts it, stoops below — the Army, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard
by enforcing the most LGBT-friendly policies.
“Going where no branch has gone before,
the Air Force will let high-ranking officials decide the fate of known
transgenders in their ranks,” Perkins pointed out.
According to Air Force leaders, “a change
to the decision authority for involuntary separations for enlisted
Airmen diagnosed with gender dysphoria or who identify themselves as
transgender” took place last week with the intention of accommodating a
larger number of LGBT individuals into the branch.
"Though the Air Force policy regarding
involuntary separation of gender dysphoric Airmen has not changed, the
elevation of decision authority to the director, Air Force Review Boards
Agency, ensures the ability to consistently apply the existing policy,"
expressed Daniel Sitterly, who serves as the principal deputy assistant
secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs.
Now, it is much more difficult for
transgenders to be kicked out of the Air Force — even if they’re a
distraction or hinder fellow soldiers’ ability to defend their country.
“Neither gender dysphoria nor
self-identification as transgender is an automatic circumstance that
generates involuntary separation,” the secretary of the Air Force Public Affairs (AFPA) informed.
“A recommendation for discharge because of gender dysphoria must be
supported by a report of evaluation by a psychiatrist or Ph.D.-level
clinical psychologist.”
On top of this, more red tape must be navigated through in order to remove any problematic transgenders.
“In addition, after consultation with
medical professionals, there must be a commander determination that the
condition interferes with duty requirements — including potential
deployment — or duty performance,” the AFPA secretary continued.
“Identification as transgender, absent a record of poor duty
performance, misconduct or a medically disqualifying condition, is not a
basis for involuntary separation.”
And this attempt to discharge a
transgender is still not enough, according to the new change in policy,
which the AFPA secretary notes as being similar to a policy the Army
instituted in March.
“If command recommends involuntary
separation of an enlisted Airman for gender dysphoria or for another
reason and the enlisted Airman has self-identified as transgender,
separation action will be reviewed by the Secretary of the Air Force
Personnel Council for recommendation, and then to the AFRBA director,
for decision,” the secretary explains. “Officer involuntary
administrative separation decision authority remains with the AFRBA
director.”
Perkins argues that the new policy
supported by the Obama administration accommodates transgenders to the
point that time-honored rules and regulations are being broken to
implement it.
“For the first time, a medical diagnosis
alone won't trigger a service member's discharge — superiors will,”
Perkins points out. “In other words, branch leaders can opt to keep open
transgenders in their units — despite the fact that it violates
military policy and U.S. law.”
Perkins asserts that it is dangerous for
the president to allow politics into military decisions — when soldiers
and national security can be put at risk just to forward an agenda.
“By putting the decision in commanders'
laps, the entire process becomes more politicized — where before, it was
a simple medical determination,” Perkins argues. “And you can bet that
in a sexually charged environment like the Obama military, the pressure
to keep people with gender disorders will be enormous. It will be far
tougher for commanders to discharge transgender troops, particularly
when the head of your branch is an open advocate for keeping them.”
White House Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz noted Obama’s approval of the Air Force’s pro-transgender policy.
"Generally speaking, the President
certainly agrees with the sentiment that all who are qualified to serve
should be able to serve," Schultz stressed.
Perkins contends that Obama will continue
pandering to homosexual activists at all cost — even when Americans’
freedom and safety is put at risk.
“Unfortunately, the president has
‘certainly agreed’ with any LGBT sentiment that undermines marriage,
free speech, public health, religious liberty and now national
security,” Perkins added. “Let's not forget — transgenderism is at its
root a serious mental disorder (one classified as such — not just by
Johns Hopkins — but the military's own Defense Department!).”
Perkins says that Obama’s push for LGBT
rights has been relentless in the civilian sector since he took office
and that his more recent focus on the U.S. Armed Forces is now spreading
like wildfire to disrupt military operations like never before.
“In the last seven years, Americans have
witnessed an almost perpetual parade of deviance, with the president
grand marshalling them all!” Perkins exclaimed. “Now, the government's
rainbow love fest is spilling over into the military, where each branch
is racing to out-sexualize the other.”
FRC’s president sees the latest
LGBT-friendly move by the Air Force as bringing instability into an area
of the government that must remain a safe, secure and steady place for
soldiers so they can adequately protect the Americans they have vowed to
protect.
“If these men and women are confused about
their gender, what's to keep them from being confused about their
mission?” Perkins asked. “With the world falling to pieces and the
margin of error so slight, can we really afford these distractions? By
letting people create their own realities, Washington is losing its grip
on its own.”
