THEOLOGY OF THE "DEATH OF SATAN"
NonPossumus
From the sixties, many rationalist and modernist authors began to openly deny the existence of the devil and to publish books on this subject. The main ones are:. Hebert Hagg (Catholic University of Tuebingen) whose first book was published in German in 1969 and was translated into Italian in 1973 by the Queriniana of Brescia Publishing under the title Liquidation Devil In 1976, the publishing house Mondadori Milan published a second book of Hagg, written in 1974, entitled The belief in the devil.
The
same doctrine of non-existence of the devil was taken up in Holland by
Father Schoonenberg (who later became cardinal and author of the Catechism of the Catholic Church 1992) and wrote a book in 1968, which appeared in Italian with the title Angels and Devils (Brescia, 1972). In addition, an American theologian Henry Ansgar Kelly, in 1968 wrote the book translated into Italian in 1969 titled The Death of Satan (Milan, Bompieni); a psychologist at the University in Freiburg, Johannes Mischo, addressed the same issue in an article in the journal Concilium n. 3
of 1975 and finally, in 1978, Karl Lehmann and Walter Kasper (later,
they will become cardinals), wrote a book published in Italian in 1983
with the title Devil, demons, possession, (Brescia, Queriniana). For a refutation of these heretical theories cf., Corrado Balducci, Devil (Casale Monferrato, Piemme, 1988, pp. 83-166).
However, beyond the proclaimed "death of the devil" Satan reigns today, more than ever, in the modern world.
Satanism in generic and specific sense
The "world" whole [1]
, not as physical creature of God, but in the moral and pejorative
sense of those who are in worldly or carnal spirit, opposite the angelic
and divine spirit, is subjected to the devil's dilemma " Either God or
me "; "Either the truth or lie." The devil is why also called "Prince of the world" (John, XII, 31;. XIV, 30) and "The god of this world (2 Cor, IV, 4.)
Satan's
kingdom fighting God (Matt, XII, 26) because of man's heart squeezes
the good seed of the word of God, to replace the weeds or false-grain
error (Mk IV. 15); and
tries to "blind the minds of those who do not believe, so they can not
be enlightened by the Gospel of the glory of Christ" (2 Cor, IV, 41.). In
short, Satan battle in time against the Kingdom of God, but Jesus
eventually expire, definitively defeat Satan and conquer the world (Jn
XVI, 33.) "Until the end of the world there will be an opposition
between the "sons of God" and the "children of the devil" (Jn 44 VIII.); which
meet the "devil's work" (Act XIII. 10) which are summarized in
deception or seduction (John, VIII, 44;. 1 Timothy, IV, 2,. Ap XII. 9)
with which, truth and justice are replaced with error and sin (Rom, I,
25;.. Iac, V, 19) " [2] .
Generically, Satanism, is the state who is subject, or even consecrated to Satan. Satanism is completely filled and impregnated by the spirit of Satan, the adversary of God and man. This broadly; specifically, the term Satanism takes three meanings: 1) rule of Satan in the world; 2nd) surrendered to Satan worship and 3rd) imitation of their revolt against God. You need to study all of these meanings to better understand Satanism.
The rule of Satan in the world
Satan's dominion in the world is revealed in the Gospels and St. Paul. This is accomplished and extends:
a) by human sin, which is contrary to the will of God;
b) by human pride or selfishness, which is opposite to infinitely true and good God [3]
c) by purely external or self-righteous law which is contrary to the true Faith, inside and enlivened by charity.
The domain of Satan in the world, an empire, representing almost a "mystical body" as described by St. Gregory the Great (Hom 16 in Evang, Moral, IV, 14...) "Surely, the devil is head all safe; and all the wicked are members of this boss. " For
this, parents and doctors, have spoken of anti-church, referring to
Revelation. (Rev., II, 9), which speaks of "synagogue of Satan", which
is opposing the Church of Christ.
The kingdom of Christ, in fact, is in radical opposition to that of Satan; They are contrary as yes and no, good and evil, truth and error, Being and Nothingness. Their
goals are the annihilation including through ongoing battle that will
end only with the end of the world and the Last Judgement. St. Augustine speaks of two cities, one God and one of the devil, which are based on two opposite loves: "Love of self to the hatred of God and God's love to hate himself" (De Civit. Dei, XIV, 18).
A terrible prophecy of Pius XII
Pius XII taught that the most profound and substantial satanism is the apotheosis of the man
who reduces religion to free choice and, having killed Christianity
invokes two false way: the socialist collectivism and liberal
individualism, which lead humanity to extermination, moral first, then
physical (Radio message birthday, December 24, 1952, nn. 12-30). Sixty years later we see this terrible prophecy begins to be true.
To
the east, the collectivist atheistic communism, liberalism and
individualist west have almost annihilated, morally, European and
Christian civilization and now, especially the second, is leading the
world toward physical destruction in the Middle East. Naturalism
is the instrument of Satan, "and, by purely natural goodness, the
prince of this world is love men to keep them, to be sure, under its
rule, that is, away from the true Church of Christ" [4] .
Satan and the "rights of man"
Today, the most dangerous victory of Satan, is that having shaken the Catholic Faith on their real existence. No
less fatal, but superstition is the opposite, ie, worship rendered to
Satan that "divinity" that reconciles evil and used to own personal
interests (honors, riches, and pleasures).
The ancient agnostics had identified the snake Satan earthly paradise (Irenaeus, Adv Hae r, I, 24;... Tertullian, Praescr, 47), who exalted because he claimed the rights of man, revealing Adam knowledge of good and evil, teaching rebellion to God's commandments. For
cainistas agnostics (. Cf. Irenaeus, ivi, I, 31) benefactors of mankind
are the great rebels who fought to God: Cain, Esau, the inhabitants of
Sodom and above all, Judas, who liberated humanity of Jesus. Therefore, no wonder the recent rehabilitation of the figure of Iscariot, made for cinema, as well as some neo-exegetes.
Monsignor
Antonino Romeo explains how: "The cult of Satan is concentrated in the
black masses (...), reminiscent formulas and Masonic rites. (...) Secret cave of Satanism is certainly Freemasonry, which inherited the faith and morals of cainista agnosticism " [5] . Freemasonry,
inspired by Talmudic Judaism is anti-church universal that for over two
hundred years ago, plans advents political, economic and military, of
which depend the vicissitudes of peoples. It
is found in the history of modernity: "A policy of constant motion,
which tends to uncontrollable" progress "religion of nature, and
excluded, any positive religion or moral. The struggle is conducted mainly against Catholicism, dropped this, Christianity is nothing more than a symbol, or a memory " [6] . The
main assumptions of Satan and preferred are anti-Christian Judaism
("You who have your father the devil," Jn., VIII, 42) which, at the same
time, has inspired almost every sect, anti-Christian heresies [7 ]
and revolutions that happened from 700 forward in the name of "human
rights" until the "revolution" instrumentalized in the Church by the
last Council.
The "titanism"
It consists of the heroic affirmation of self, she defended in its absolute autonomy. Monsignor
Antonino Romeo wrote: "Even some Catholic theologians, to flatter the
will or human freedom, which is no longer reflective of that divine,
dare caress the" risk of sin "(...), in a pose of mortal" risk " which has many points of contact with the "titanism" Today " [8] .
Marxism,
according to which "God is evil" is one of the modern forms of the
revolutionary Satanism, and so is the post-modern philosophical
nihilism, which would destroy the morale, the human intellect and being
by participation, which returns to the Being by essence. It can be considered an expression of this "titanism" the tragic event of the Titanic,
who had written blasphemy "even God sink me" and instead fell into the
abyss on its maiden voyage with most of the passengers (including the
musician Strauss). The pride of the owners did not foresee even the lifeboats.
The struggle of the church against satanic anti-Christ Church: Signs precursors of the antichrist
Monsignor
Henri Delassus cites the Catholic doctrine on the struggle between
Satan and the Church, and after abalarse by the Holy Scripture,
Tradition and the Magisterium, do not forsake even a brief anthology of
private revelations not convicted the Church because there is nothing in
them contrary to Divine Revelation. Certainly, they are not a theological perspective, but as punishable St. Paul: "There can be discarded". Here we suggest the reader to them, as mere private revelations, which serve to give a little hope at this very sad time.
Monsignor Delassus in E l problem now present
(Lilla, Desclée, 2 voll, 1904 to 1905; tr. It, 1907;.. 1st rist
Piacenza, Christianity, 1977;. 2nd rist Milan / Viterbo, Effedieffe,
2014. 2015) writes: "Where leads the whirlwind that carries the human
race? To the feet of God or Satan's feet? (...) It is not the first time that Satan and his believe they are on the eve of triumph. (...) We are in a battle when the most decisive "(cit. Vol. 2, p.47).
Indeed, Gregory XVI in his encyclical Mirari Vos, 1832, applied to our time the words of Revelation in chapter IX on "... bottomless pit now open" (Vol. 2, p.48-49, 51) from the which come errors, depravity and demons to tempt man in the cruelest way. "The antithesis is between Christ or Antichrist and it contains the mystery of the future». (H. Delassus, cit., Vol. 2, p.52).
Also St. Pius X in his first encyclical E supremi 1904 cathedra apostolatus wonders if the Antichrist is
no longer among us, as the antropolátrico character of philosophical
modernity and theological modernism, as Antichrist character of S.
Irenaeus taught St. Ambrose, St. Augustine, St. Gregory the Great,
Theodoret, St. John Damascene, San Anselmo, Rupert of Deutz, St. Bede
the Venerable (cfr. Cornelius a Lapide, Comm. In Sacram Scripturam, volume XII, In Apocalypsim, ed. Vives, Paris 1866, p. 178).
We
are currently Delassus bitterly observes: "In a state of
anti-Christianity, which is necessary for the Antichrist to find
acceptance in the world state" (cit, vol 2, p 59...). Wisely,
remember that no one knows the precise date of his arrival, but,
according to the Gospel (Lk., XII 54) when distinguish the clouds build
up on us, we deduce that the rain really is probably close (cit., Vol.
2, p . 61).
Pius
IX wrote that, under conditions in which humanity currently stands:
"Men can not be saved rather than second, or causes, of the creatures,
but for the first cause is God as struggle is so great that only he can
overcome his enemies "(cit., vol.2, p.62).
A glimmer of hope in the darkness
The glorious Leo XIII in the Encyclical Praeclara (June 20, 1984) wrote: "We see in the far avenir a new order of things:
the Christian solution of the social question, the end of the Lutheran
and Byzantine schism that has scarred Europe the illuminating light of
the Gospel to all peoples. "
In antichrétienne conjuration
(Lilla, Desclée, 3 voll., 1910, pp. 852-891, 914-927) Delassus private
revelations appointment confirms expectations of Leo XIII, ie those of
Blessed Catherine Emmerich, of Anna Taigi Mary, of St. Bridget, of St.
Hildegard, St. Catherine of Siena, Blessed Catherine of Racconigi da of
S. Luigi de Montfort.
Catherine Emmerich (The antichrétienne conjuration,
cit., Vol. 3rd, pp. 867-878) saw a masonry triggered in an attempt to
destroy the Church through the theoretical and practical naturalism,
with the corruption of ideas and morals and he saw in connection with
the arrival of the Antichrist.
Especially
Rome and the Vatican were attacked by evil spirits and their
alternates, the Pope, surrounded by traitors was very sad, but with
fabric evil, Rome was always crossed by a stream of light and grace. Blessed
Emmerich speaks of a "black or dark man", who works near the Basilica
of San Pedro to ruin the faithful and pastors, and also had the grace to
be led in spirit by Pope Leo XII help you make the right decisions.
A similar mission was Marie Morel with Popes Gregory XVI and Pius IX (cit., Vol. 3rd, pp. 878-879)
However,
Emmerich also narrates his vision of restoration and triumph of the
Church and its hierarchy, which had previously been disfigured by
infernal maneuvers impure sect, among whom were also some priests (cit.,
Vol.3 ° , pp. 880-883). Good
defenders of the Church also fought, but without method, as ignoring
the seriousness of the situation (cit., Vol. 3rd, p.885).
Blessed
Anna Maria Taigi (cit., Vol. 3rd, pp. 886-890) has had the same visions
and especially on sectarian game to deceive the cardinals under Pope
Gregory XVI, in order to destroy the Papacy replacing it with a "new
church of darkness", folding the dogmas and synchronize all faiths. Most of the clergy were seduced by the darkness. However, thanks to the help of Mary, the Church would have prevailed on them. Beata
has even seen San Pedro elect his successor, after the crushing of the
infernal sect that had engineered the demolition work of the Church.
A
role as Emmerich (... Cit, vol 3rd, pp 892-895) decisive in the battle
against anti-church would have been the Archangel Michael, just when all seemed lost, and probably about the kingdom of the Antichrist: severe, austere and holy Pope would have appeared and revived the faithful.
Delassus (... Cit, vol 3rd, pp 914-927) then cites St. Hildegard of Bingen (S. XII); S.
Catherine of Siena (S XIV) which has left written that "God will purify
the holy Church and resurrect the spirit of Christians with a medium
that is beyond human foresight" (Bollandisti, Acta Sanctorum, 29 April); Blessed
Catherine of Racconigi (S. XVI), S. Luigi de Montfort, St. Leonard of
Porto Maurizio, the Venerable Mary of Agreda (S. XVII) and Elisabetta
Canori Mora (S. XVIII). Everyone
has seen the struggle of the "synagogue of Satan" (Ap., II, 9) against
the Church of Christ, the apparent defeat of the latter, but also his
triumph at the time when all seemed lost [9] .
The
mystery of the Resurrection, in fact, continues, in a sense, even in
the Church, Jesus has made in His image: from the terrible test She
emerges more glorious than before, as its history shows, from the
persecutions of Nero, Diocletian and Julian the Apostate, the attempts
of the French Revolution installed a new religion, to our sad times, in
which many Catholics rush with their martyrdom resurrection of the
mystical body of Christ.

[9] Nature of private revelations and they, theological value:
Father Antonio Royo Marin teaches, with all approved theologians, that
private revelations: "Do not fall in the deposit of faith.
Indeed, if our faith based on public disclosure contained in Sacred
Scripture and the divine / Apostolic Tradition under the control and
surveillance of the Magisterium. Therefore, private revelations, regardless of their importance, do not belong to the Catholic faith. [...]. For Christians can constitute only an illusory belief, which are not required to give a sample of divine faith. When the Church approves a private revelation states simply that it contains nothing contrary to faith or morals. However reprehensible would contradict and then ridicule of this ecclesiastical trial ". (Perfezione della Christian Theology, Rome, Paoline, 1960, p 1075-1076, No. 600-601;.. Cf. S.
