There are so many Catholics who do not grasp the principles of Canon Law, and therefore fail to understand invalidating force of a nullifying technicality, such as the nullifying technicality that invalidates the "renunciation" of Pope Benedict XVI. These clueless Catholics appeal to "common sense" on a matter in which true common sense invariably defers to the strict application of the principles of law. It is claimed that "we know what Pope Benedict really intended; it was his intention to step down and allow a successor to be elected pope". Such is the failure of what is perceived to be "common sense", because the detetmining factor of a juridical act is strictly the legally expressed will stated in the official act, and not the presumable and ostensible intention that is commonly perceived.
There is a plainly expressed defective intention in Benedict's Declaratio of 20/02/2013, which therefore nullifies the act. Many have understood this argument, including some highly educated priests who, after hearing my exposition on the point, expressed their agreement with me that Benedict is still the only valid pope, and it is not Francis. The case agsinst Bergoglio is well presented by Antonio Socci in his book, Non È Francesco (It is not Francis), in the chapter that explains and capsulizes Canon Law Professor Stefano Violi on this precise point of Benedict's legally expressed defective intention. Yet so many theologically semi-literate Catholics simply resort to knee jerk reflex reactions, and seek refuge in platitudes about the indefectibility of the papacy; not understanding that Bergoglio is NOT protected by the charism of indefectibility, because he is not the valid pope.

The papacy cannot defect, but an invalidly elected "pope" can gain possession of the Vatican and lead the vast majority of bishops and laity into defection from the Church. This is precisely what Our Lady of Fatima foretold in the part of the Third Secret which has not been publicly revealed. Bergoglio is the "enemy within the gate" who intends to destroy Catholicism and replace it with a counterfeit "Catholic Church" that will be Catholic in name only, but will be essentially a neo-pagan counterfeit Christianity of Masonic inspiriation. Thus it is that St. Francis of Assisi quotes the words of Christ that even the elect would be deceived (if possible), in his prophecy on the antipope who will someday lead a multitude of souls "into error and death".
TradCatKnight addendum: As I have stated publicly before Blessed Anna Emmerick clearly denotes between the "new heterodox Church of Rom" (Vatican II New Church) & the soon "Apostate Church of Darkness" (Dogma-free Church under an antipope). It is clear that there will be a "formal schism" in Rome once there is an invalid/illicit excathedra "passed" that will unite all humanity & religions! After all are not these modernist heretics searching for truth still? And thus they believe they shalst find it!

I expect the "Pope" (Francis) to become a HELPER of the Master Jesus, who is in charge of the Christian Church(what we call the Apostate Church), rather than be near the Christ, who is World Teacher. I have no doubt that eventually, anyway, the "Pope" will recognize the Christ(Maitreya).
