are like shooting stars
Passing
through the dark of the night
One
second, blazing, seen, before all
The
next, fading, till out of sight
One
Second, full of Light
The
next, enveloped, by Love’s might
One
Second, flickering, so bright
The
next, streaking, in our soul’s flight
For
we are like shooting stars
Who
art so near
Even
while appearing in the distant so far
We
are like shooting stars,
Seen,
speaking silently, until we must depart
We
are like shooting stars
Purely,
moving amidst this canvas, like the doves white
Gently
touching the Maker
Whose
tenderness takes away death’s fright
For
we are like shooting stars
Who
have the “map of Love” but only His Eyes can chart
We
are like shooting stars,
Who
in the end
ARE forever
caught up in the Beloved’s Eternal Heart
