OPEN MESSAGE TO JOSEF RATZINGER, BENEDICT XVI
TCK HOLDS BENEDICT XVI AS THE TRUE POPE
Remember that it was you who were the intermediary between Archbishop Lefebvre and John Paul II in providing for the bishop necessary to continue to ordain priests in the traditional rite and, failing that role, the SSPX found it necessary to act on their own. Remember that it was you who consulted with and aligned yourself with dubiously qualified theologians and advisers at Vatican II in advancing what might be called a Modernist agenda. Remember that it was you who undertook the previously unknown role as a “pope-emeritus,” and the resulting confusion that such a public role generated in the Church Militant.
Now, with advancing age taking its course you find yourself so very close to meeting the Divine Judge and accounting for what you have done and/or failed to do. With all due respect: Are you ready? Is anyone, indeed, ready for such an accounting? I presume the answer is NO but surely there is still something you can do to remedy the situation in the Church today. Can you not re-assume your role as Chief Shepherd and issue an infallible proclamation that all priests, religious and laity following the traditional magisterium of the Church up to 1962 are fully within the Church and possess the necessary authorizations necessary to function fully within the Church notwithstanding their disagreement over non-infallible teachings and practices imposed in the Church since 1965? Such re-emergence, if you will, need not be for any other purpose and in no way an embarrassment to the current Occupant of the Chair of Peter but a statement that stands alone in the history of infallible, papal proclamations.
