Surprise: Women watched more porn in 2017

It's that time of year: when we look back at what kind of porn everyone watched last year.
Both Pornhub and xHamster have recently unveiled year-in-review reports for 2017. And while much of it is far from surprising (people like cheerleaders, can you believe it?), one finding consistent across both reports further confirms what many have known all along: Women are watching more porn.

Let's start with Pornhub. Its 2017 report notes that there were 24.7 billion searches on site last year. The number one search? That'd be "Porn for Women," a term that saw 359 percent growth among female users between 2016 and 2017. Among overall users, the phrase saw a 1,400 percent increase year over year.
What else were people looking for in 2017? Apparently searches for Rick and Morty (yes, the animated TV show) and fidget spinners were up last year.
Yes, that's "fidget spinner" at number 3.

Then we have xHamster's year-end report and projection for 2018. Last year the site saw a 2.4 percent increase in women viewers across the globe. Broken down by country, the site recorded the biggest gains in South Africa, where female users grew by 23 percent. Meanwhile in China, xHamster saw a 28 percent decrease in women users.

Overall, women represent 26 percent of xHamster's total users. The top search term for women in the U.S.? That'd be "Daddy," while the top search term for women globally was "Mom."
As xHamster notes, the share of women viewers on porn sites has increased steadily in the last few years. As we covered back in April, a YouPorn survey of 24,000 women viewers found that 60 percent of respondents said they watched porn a couple times a month (if not weekly), while 18 percent said they view porn daily.
Further proof that women obviously like sex too.

Former Teacher Has Certificates Suspended for Speaking Against Homosexuality on Facebook

Former Teacher Has Certificates Suspended for Speaking Against Homosexuality on Facebook
The New Jersey Department of Education has suspended the teaching certificates of a former high school teacher who came under fire seven years ago for speaking against the sin of homosexuality on Facebook. As previously reported, Jenye “Viki” Knox, 56, first came under fire in June 2011 after she posted comments on Facebook decrying the promotion of the homosexual lifestyle Union High School. The school had reportedly erected a display in acknowledgment of “Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Month,” which featured popular homosexual celebrities. “It’s still there,” she vented on her personal Facebook page. “I’m pitching a fit.” The status then began to spark discussion, which turned into a controversy when others were offended by her comments. Knox, a born-again Christian who also had served as the adviser for the school’s Bible study group, defended the Bible’s position on homosexuality when others challenged her status. READ MORE

I KID YOU NOT: POLE DANCING ROBOTS?
SOURCE: RT
This isn’t the first time ‘Black Mirror’ has proven to have predictive powers. A season two episode where people wore Grains, contact lenses which recorded everything, was very similar to Samsung’s 2016 patents on contact lenses with a built-in camera that projects images onto the user’s eye.
Autonomous vehicles imitating television episodes weren’t the weirdest thing to be revealed at CES. That prize would go to the pole dancing robot show at Sapphire, Las Vegas. Robots ‘R2DoubleD' and 'TripleCPU' travelled to Vegas from London to perform an exotic, and creepy, robot exotic dance for the press and CES exhibitors. The flexible robots will perform from January 9-12.

TeslaSuit was another unusual concept likely to excite gamers and VR enthusiasts. The full body suit allows users to truly immerse themselves in virtual reality. Gamers can feel as though they are living in the world they play in, by feeling the heat of the imaginary dessert, or by experiencing pain from being shot.
