ONE WORLD RELIGION WATCH: Archbishop Invokes Pseudo Unity Between the Church and Protestantism
On Sunday, October 8, Archbishop Eamon Martin of Armagh, Ireland, marked
the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation in the Anglican
Cathedral in Dublin. Regarding the Protestants, Martin claimed that
“what unites us is so much greater than what divides us.” At the same
time, he pointed out that there remain “important differences” over
issues like Church, Eucharist, ministry and the papacy. He did not
mention the seven sacraments, Our Lady, divorce, abortion, assisted
suicide, homosexualism, gender ideology or relativism.
