DAYS OF LOT: Cities Across America Creating Rainbow Crosswalks to Celebrate ‘LGBTQ Pride’

DAYS OF LOT: Cities Across America Creating Rainbow Crosswalks to Celebrate ‘LGBTQ Pride’

SOURCE

Several American cities recently approved the creation of rainbow crosswalks to celebrate “LGBTQ pride,” and homosexual advocacy groups are circulating petitions to request that more cities paint their crosswalks with the “diversity” stripes. Houston, Texas, Atlanta, Georgia and Washington, D.C. created rainbow crosswalks to coincide with their June homosexual pride events. In Atlanta, the display will be permanent.  “I believe that symbols of unity matter,” Mayor Kasim
Reed said in a statement. “In recognition of the outstanding and ongoing contributions of Atlanta’s LGBTQ community to our city, I am pleased to announce today that the city will install the rainbow crosswalks at the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and 10th Street year-round.”

“This intersection in Midtown is recognized for its history as a hub for Atlanta’s LGBTQ community, and it is fitting that such an important and recognizable place should feature the rainbow flag,” he remarked. “We must never forget that love defeats hate, and light defeats the darkness.” READ MORE

DAYS OF LOT: LGBT Groups Say Conservative Christians ‘Have No Place in Government’

LGBT activist groups are outraged that the Trump administration’s Department of Education invited speakers from two prominent conservative Christian family organizations to participate in a panel discussion on fatherhood held in advance of Father’s Day last week.  Politico reports that experts from the Family Research Council and Focus on the Family were invited to speak at a day-long conference hosted by the Education Department that addressed how fathers can be engaged
in their children’s lives.  Both FRC, headed by Tony Perkins, and Focus on the Family, led by Jim Daly and founded by
James Dobson, are known for advocating in accordance with biblical beliefs on sexuality and the belief that marriage is only a union between one man and one woman. However, the pro-LGBT advocacy group Human Rights Campaign believes that the organization’s’ beliefs in traditional marriage and opposition to same-sex marriage should make their employees disqualified from being given a government-funded platform to voice their views on marriage and family. Church of England Official Suggests Transgender Christians Can Be ‘Re-Christened’ After Undergoing Sex Change

An official of the Church of England suggested that it may allow transgender Christians to be “re-christened” under their new names following a sex change.  The proposal is contained in a discussion paper that outlines those who have undergone a sex change cannot be re-baptized but can announce their new names before God through “services of
welcome” that are already in place, the Daily Mail reported. “It is a fundamental belief of the Church that baptism can only be received once,” Synod Secretary General William Nye said in a statement. “There is therefore no possibility of the Synod approving a form of service for the re-baptism of transgendered persons in their new gender who have already been baptised.” However, Nye also added that there is “no legal or doctrinal difficulty about a baptised transgendered person re-affirming their baptismal vows” under a new name.  READ MORE

DAYS OF LOT: Women’s Clothes Are now the new trend for Men

The trend of feminine and ultra-casual clothing for men has several theologians observing the influence of the “gender cult” and the decline of masculine dress, calling the church to model how men should wear clothes. A Kickstarter campaign launched in May to make a one-piece outfit known as a romper, which is traditionally worn by females, for men, garnered significant attention on the Internet. Also called a “bro-romper” or a “RompHim,” the publication of the effort in
a May 15 Esquire magazine article by a “decidedly anti-romper” Christine Flammia, sparked an “immediate and visceral” reaction, as noted in a subsequent article. The Kickstarter project originally intended to raise $10,000 to make rompers. Due to such large publicity, the project has now garnered over $353,000. Esquire asked several fashion insiders why they thought there was such a strong response. Some of them thought the idea was “fun and fresh.” Others called it “ridiculous.”  READ MORE

DAYS OF LOT: More courts allowing 3 parents of 1 child

Sixteen-year-old Madison’s family clustered for a photo in a California courtroom, commemorating the day it finally became official that she has three parents.  The adults she calls Mom, Dad and Mama were all there for her birth, after the women decided to have a child together and approached a male friend. They shared time with Madison and input on
raising her. Their Christmas Day traditions involve all of them. But legally, Victoria Bianchi became her daughter’s parent only this fall, joining a small but growing number of Americans who have persuaded courts and legislatures to give legal recognition to what’s sometimes called “tri-parenting.” “I just felt like I’ve been holding my breath for the last 16 years,” Bianchi said. “She’s already been my daughter … she’s finally, legally mine.” READ MORE
