Charity: The Eyes of an Eagle

Charity: The Eyes of an Eagle
Message by Eric Gajewski
From the Work, "Fortress of the Soul"
 Corinthians 13:13
And now there remain faith, hope, and charity, these three: but the greatest of these is charity.

Brothers and Sisters, I write to you in behalf of the Selfless Love and peace of the Union and Marriage of Jesus Christ and of His Sacred Heart and all the blessings that flow forth from It. We are reminded this day to keep in charity.  Every eagle has wings, the wings of Faith and Hope.  A Faith which must be Mary-like and which “sees” the end even wilst we are flying thru the Storm. For it is written “In the End My Immaculate Heart Shalst Triumph!” therefore need I say more?  We must keep our hope in our Holy Queen who is our life our sweetness and our Hope!  She perpetually keeps her wings, that is, her mantle, spread over the Church protecting her children. But what is even greater than the wings of any eagle is his eyes.  For Charity is the eyes of an eagle. Let us examine…

Let all your things be done in charity. 1 Cor. 16:14  We, as eagles, are here to serve but we must ask whom do we serve?  Assuredly, it is every eagles aim to serve God and not self therefore taking vainglory out of the equation. All the movements of our heart must be disciplined.  In every action of the heart we must be “doing” for the glory of God. We do not bow down to human respect. We speak and stand for truth no matter whom that may offend.  Therefore, in this quest for spiritual perfection every eagles aim is to become One with the Fire and Light which is Him. That Christ may dwell by faith in your hearts; that being rooted and founded in charity. Ephesians 3: 17

Charity orders.  He brought me into the cellar of wine, he set in order charity in me. Canticles 2:4  As with each passing day the world becomes more disordered but why?  Order first starts in the hearts and minds of men so what does that tell you of the modern society as a whole? Modern man’s heart is not ordered upon truth, that is, the Catholic Faith, therefore, man has become disordered on every level.  He then takes this interior disorder out into the economic, social, political and religious arenas to further disrupt the calm waves of order. Ye say you want a restoration of order in all these sectors but ye first neglect to look inward into thy own soul.  Charity structures and restores that which was once disordered, therefore, the work must start first within which is then taken out into society.

Our “eyes” must match His Glory.  God is an Unapproachable Light and All Consuming Fire.  Therefore, we cannot stand the Glory of our God without eyes of “Light and Fire” to match.  We can only accomplish such thru the grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ.  God is brighter than 10,000 suns and yet our carnal eye can only stand a few seconds of pain before finally having to turn away from the earthly sun due to the brightness. O’ sinner, how do ye think ye shalst stand before Him with even one venial stain upon thy soul? How do we expect to stand in front of the Almighty with only carnal eyes?  Yea, we must have the eyes of an eagle to behold the Glory of our King. And his head and his hairs were white, as white wool, and as snow, and his eyes were as a flame of fire.  Apocalypse 1:14  These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like to a flame of fire.  Apoc. 2:18  And his eyes were as a flame of fire.  Apoc. 19:12

An eagles eyes help him to rise above the world.  An eagles eyes although can see the world truly help him to rise above the world.  An eagle is detached from earthly and worldly things.  The carnal and those living by the Law of self rather than of Selfless Love can only love themselves.  Their eyes stay fixated upon the latest distraction with hearts that have collected and been weighed down by many “things”.  Thus the carnal eye must be closed off to the world in so that the inner eyes of the heart can be found, tried, tested and widened.  The rabbits and foxes down below who do not have wings nor the eye sight of the eagle stay horizontal they stay “living in the world” and for the world.

Canticles 2: 15 Catch us the little foxes that destroy the vines: for our vineyard hath flourished.
St. Jerome: [15] Catch us the little foxes: Christ commands his pastors to catch false teachers, by holding forth their fallacy and erroneous doctrine, which like foxes would bite and destroy the vines.

The souls in Purgatory still have “cataracts” over the inner eyes due to venial sin thus are kept from being able to see God clearly in all His Glory.  God in His great mercy wants every soul to see Him clearly and yet venial sin, these smudges attributed to self, are preventing the inner eyes from seeing Him clearly and uninterrupted.  This “film of self” over the inner eyes must be purged if the soul is to be further illuminated by His Light and Fire. It is not Gods fault we have contracted this ailment.  However, we have been left the necessary means via Christ and His Church to be set free yet so many still choose willfully to be rabbits and foxes.

Truth, Grace, the Fire and Light.  When truth is no longer (virtually) present in the world the world will literally go dark. Hence why the three days of darkness approaches.  God has largely withdrawn His grace but why?  Because man has turned unto himself for the answers and not Him.  This is occurring in every aspect of life and in every sector.  Vatican II was the new man centered religion which has a new centered Mass which is still highly displeasing to Our Lord. The more man turns to self the more the world grows dark and thus the more disorder we have in every sector and on every level possible. We, who still keep the Faith passed down by Christ and the Apostles, are meant to bring the Fire and Light into the world also known as true charity. The Vatican II Novus Ordo Religion does not as a whole (teach/bring true charity) because it has turned unto man first and put God and truth on the backburner of the world’s oven.  Did not Our Lord warn in these days that charity wouldst grow cold?  And because iniquity hath abounded, the charity of many shall grow cold.  Matthew 24:12

In heaven, only Charity remains.  Charity never falleth away… 1 Cor. 13:8  The wings of Faith and Hope are not needed in heaven because an eagle now taken "to flight" is caught up in the Presence of the Living God forever Who is thee Fire and Light.  Thus we must be likened to the Fire and Light in order to be perpetually in His Presence.  In a certain sense we can have heaven here in this exile.  For if our wings remain spread in Faith and Hope and let the Wind of God keep us flying all we have to do is keep our eyes widened so as to guide us.

Keep our “eyes” on the Prize.  What keeps every eagle on this path to His Glory?  The two pillars of victory, the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Sacrament of Selfless Love (Eucharist).  If we turn from the world and stay close to the Immaculate and Sacred Hearts then we can continually detach our hearts from all things in so that we can arrive at the Source and End Himself.  Many struggle because they want to be rabbits some days and other days an eagle.  Those who live as such shall forfeit eternal salvation.  A steady heart and a will to overcome the world as the Saints did is necessary.  A will to be who God wants us to be rather than what my self leaning will dictates is imperative.  Eagles do not fly with the other birds (heretics) thus there we know there is no modern day ecumenism accepted in heaven.  May the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady guide, protect and preserve your heart every day in this exile, Ave Maria!- Amen

Look with the "eyes of an eagle" for there are many opportunities daily to act upon that we all miss! See the world as HE SEES!

“Keep a clear eye toward life's end. Do not forget your purpose and destiny as God's creature. What you are in his sight is what you are and nothing more. Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take nothing that you have received...but only what you have given; a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice, and courage.”
