WE HAVE MOVED!

"And I beheld, and heard the voice of one eagle flying through the midst of heaven,
saying with a loud voice: Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth....

Signs of the Times: School Defends Sending First Grader to Principal’s Office for Misgendering Classmate

Signs of the Times: School Defends Sending First Grader to Principal’s Office for Misgendering Classmate
Here is some of the latest madness from the modern world
A public charter school in California has defended its decision to send a first-grade student to the principal’s office for not referring to her biologically male transgender classmate by the classmate’s preferred pronoun. Rocklin Academy provided a statement to The Christian Post on Monday, explaining that the law requires students to be called by their preferred gender. “State (CA Education Code Section 220) and federal law (Title IX) creates many classes of people that are protected from discrimination under the law.

Religion, nationality, and gender are among the protected classes. Schools that receive state and federal funds — including all California charter schools — are required to abide by these laws,” the school said. “In practical terms, this means Rocklin Academy is required by the law to call students by their preferred gender. The school has a legal responsibility to prevent or stop harassment of protected classes.” READ MORE

Australian Psychologists Push Teaching Gay Marriage Support, Gender Transition for Young Kids

A group of psychologists in Australia have released a guide urging parents and teachers to be supportive of children questioning their gender identity and to back gay marriage. Opposing ads from groups defending traditional marriage as a union between one man and one woman have warned that legalizing gay marriage could lead to boys wearing dresses in school, however. The guide from the Australian Psychological Society, released on Tuesday ahead of September’s
nationwide postal plebiscite regarding the question of legalizing gay marriage, encourages parents to teach primary and secondary schoolchildren to support the practice. “Another misconception is that some people worry that children will be harmed in same-sex families, and believe that children do better when they have both a mother and father. This is not true, but also irrelevant to the marriage equality debate,” the guide claims in its advice to parents on what they should tell their children about marriage. READ MORE

DAYS OF LOT: California Considering Gender “X” on State Identifications

California could become the U.S. state with the most fluid definition of gender on its official state IDs if a bill making its way through the legislature becomes law. The California Senate has already passed SB179, which would introduce a third gender option for state identification. Currently, driver’s licenses and other forms of official identification only contain
options for male or female. The bill would allow a third option, which would likely be ‘X,’ according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The bill allowing people to identify as “nonbinary” will be considered in the California Assembly. It would also make it easier for transgender people to make sure legal state documents appropriately reflect their gender. READ MORE

UNRAVELING: New York mayor considering Removing Christopher Columbus Statue

Bill de Blasio, the New York mayor, has said he may order the removal of the landmark statue of Christopher Columbus that has overlooked Manhattan’s Columbus Circle since it was erected as part of the city’s 1892 commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the explorer landing in the Americas. The review, which comes amid a national drive to remove dozens of controversial statues and monuments, has prompted a passionate response. Italian American groups have
argued that Columbus “was essential in truly legitimizing our transition from Italians to Americans”. DAYS OF LOT: Canada Rolls Out Gender-Neutral Passports

Canada will begin offering a third gender option on the country’s passports and immigration documents at the end of this month. Ahmed Hussen, Canada’s immigration minister, announced that the new gender designation ‘X’ would come into effect from August 31. “By introducing an ‘X’ gender designation in our government-issued documents, we are taking an important step towards advancing equality for all Canadians regardless of gender identity or expression,” Hussen said in a statement Thursday. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will be the first to introduce interim measures which will allow passport holders to add the ‘X.’ This solution will be in place until the IRCC can print the documents with the new designation. The statement continued: “An ‘X’ will make it easier for people who do not identify as female (‘F’) or male (‘M’) to acquire passports and other government-issued documents that better reflect their gender identity.” READ MORE
