Fr. Voigt- Can You Imagine the Value of a Divine Tear?

Fr. Voigt- Can You Imagine the Value of a Divine Tear?

Can you imagine the value of a single divine tear?  Here our Lord looking over Jerusalem weeps because He recognizes the destruction that is ahead for those souls.  Impending doom is upon the souls of the inhabitants.  It will certainly take place despite all that the Son of God could do to stop the slaughter if only they had recognize the time of His visitation.  They would not listen, they would not humble their hearts.
Are we any different than they?

At Akita, Japan our Lady wept tears of blood witnessed by numbers of souls.  The Bishop himself remarked that this was serious.  In fact balls of fire will descend from the heavens and destroy three quarters of the world's population.  Is this not serious?  At Fatima our Lady gave us the divine peace plan providentially guided by the Father.  If only our leadership in the Catholic Church would come clean and do the consecration of Russia in the manner designated by our Lady.  Humility amongst the leadership would crush the pride that is rampant over the earth.  Death seems to be the only wake up call that we recognize.

With a divine tear, Jesus proclaimed the destruction of the city of Jerusalem but it is also a sign of the destruction of the sinner.  Our consciences will be awakened to the numerous sins which we have committed and about which we never concerned ourselves.  There will be no hiding from them in our particular judgment.
The devil and his cohorts will certainly chide us and rally to condemn us for that which we took for granted.
Finally, our souls will be filled with the dread punishment that these sins deserve.  This will happen to each of us to the extent that we allow sin to rule our lives.  Unless you all do penance you shall likewise perish.

Prayer and Penance are the cries of the divine tears to each of us.  We are the Mystical Body of Christ and must do what Christ desires:  to save as many souls as we can.  Daily we can recall our own death and the horror of the judgment that may fall upon us this day.  Instead of being fearful we can determine to be faithful and ask the Father for some sacrifice, some penance in order to save a sinner who is dying and needs our prayers and our sacrifice.  This prayer will always be answered because it is offered with the
tears of our Blessed Lord.

Daily,  I weep when I see my mother's suffering and I can do nothing to absorb it.  I weep because I love her who begot me and I know that God is offering her this pain, this sacrifice to pay the price for her sins and the sins of her children.  My tears, I know, issue from a heart that is breaking for her whom God has given to me as an expression of His Love for me.  I know that these tears cleanse my soul just as the tears of our Lady cleanses her faithful children of their worldliness, their sinfulness.  The prayer of tears marked St. Monica's love for her son, St. Augustine.  St. Augustine's tears flowed freely at
his mother's death because no one cannot grasp and possess the love of a finite human being.  Through that love we can turn to Him Who loves us eternally and taste the bitterness of unrequited love such as the Jews towards our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

My brothers and sisters, we must weep for the world at large which is witnessing the death of an age and the death of the Mystical Body of Christ.  Our tears have power if joined to the divine tears of our Savior.  Yes, pray for the conversion of the Jewish elite, pray for the conversion of the Masons, pray
for the salvation of the Muslims; pray for a world gone mad with the sins of immorality.  Pray also that we may realize the mercy of God in the chastisement that is due to the multitude of sin that infects the City of this World and keep your hearts focused upon the City of God where every tear will be wiped away and the divine consolation of true order will reign.

In the hearts of Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

Fr. Richard Voigt
