Fr. Voigt, "The Light and the Light Bearer (alias Jesus and Lucifer)"

Fr. Voigt, "The Light and the Light Bearer (alias Jesus and Lucifer)"

In the eternal life there is a great pattern to control the darkness that can creep into our lives through our emotions.  While today the emotions seem to reign supreme, it is wrong.  The Light of Reason must be employed to govern the passions.  Reason is guided by the light of the conscience which turns to the light of Jesus Himself to lead our souls to heaven.  In our story Jesus opens the eyes, ears and tongue of the poor human being.  This is the action of our Lord in every Christian life.  The opinion of the Jewish pharisee and the elders guided by the emotion of envy is that Jesus casts out demons by the "Lord of the flies", Beelzebub.

Now the power of the divine Lord cuts through the thoughts and asks a question of reason.  First, our Lord attacks the false premise:  "If I cast out demons by the prince of demons, then the kingdom of demons is  at an end for a kingdom divided cannot stand."  If Lucifer is divided, then temptations and sin are at an end.  But we know this is absurd and the Jew knows it too.  Hence our Lord pushes the issue even farther.
If Jesus casts out demons by the price of demons then by whom do your children (the apostles) cast them out? The Light of Christ pierces the darkness of the Jewish mind and pursues it farther in the search for conversion.

Everyone knows that a strong man well armed is not an easy target but if one stronger than he comes and conquers him then he loses all his possessions.  So it is with Our Lord and the evil one.  Our Lord has come to claim the souls He created and cast Lucifer to his own place.  Our Jewish elite continue the presence of the evil one to this very day.  Evil is not divided in its goal to wrest every possible soul from the heart of our Lord.  It is up to us to recognize the eternal value of our soul and to fight the sins of thought, word and deed.  Our goal is to achieve the heights of heaven not simply "just make it".  No one just makes it.

As the woman pointed out: blessed is the womb that bore thee and the breasts that nursed Thee.  Our Lord loves our Blessed Mother but His reply is very telling:  "Blessed are they who hear the word of God and keep it."  The Jew rejects the word, hates the person of Jesus, and now lives only to serve the Devil.  The elite seek total world control and have as their handmaids, the Moslems, the Masons, the Communists, the Feminists.  They will all unite to do one thing:  murder the Mystical Body of Christ.
Why?  Because evil cannot stand the presence of innocence, virtue, and love.  Both kingdoms are at odds with each other and as St. Augustine showed in his tale of two cities there cannot be any union of the divine with the demonic.  Emotions must be conquered by the reasonableness of love.  If our passions are not under the light of reason they will destroy the desire for heaven hereafter and seek a heaven in the temporal order.

What should we do as we continue in our reparation during Lent?  Study the word of God in itself and in its expression in the life of a favorite saint.  Through our study and prayer our hearts are enticed by the innocence of God to plead for the conversion of our lapsed Catholic families, our deluded brothers in the various sects and our suffering brothers the world over.  Turning to our Mother we beseech her to convert the hearts of the contaminated hierarchy to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary that the kingdom of this world might be restored to her Immaculate Heart and her Son's Sacred Heart.
Please God may we see this in our lifetime.

In the hearts of Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
