Benedict XVI Encouraged Dubia Cardinal Caffarra

Benedict XVI Encouraged Dubia Cardinal Caffarra
Shortly before he died, Cardinal Carlo Caffarra told visiting friends that he was deeply puzzled about prelates, who argue against the indissolubility of Christian marriage and favour homosexual acts, writes Francesco Agnoli on lanuovabq.it.

Caffarra was one of the four Cardinals who expressed doubts ("dubia") about the controversial document Amoris Laetitia, that according to Pope Francis allows people living in adultery to receive Holy Communion.

The late cardinal met the former Benedict XVI during the Synod on the Family in October 2015 and kept meeting him after the Dubia where published. Benedict never rebuked him, “on the contrary”.
