Here is the latest madness coming from the modern world

Genetically engineered humans will arrive sooner than you think. And we’re not ready

Warning: Sensitive Material

Artificial intelligence has become the pet anxiety of luminaries like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and Stephen Hawking. They have all expressed concerns about our Promethean quest to develop machine intelligence, and those concerns seem to be spreading every day. But there’s another dimension of technological change that ought to worry us every bit as much as AI, if not more so. Bioengineering has already allowed human beings to take control of their own evolution.

Whether it’s emergent cloning technologies or advanced gene therapy, we’re quickly approaching a world in which humans can — and will — change the way they live and die. Michael Bess is a historian of science at Vanderbilt University and the author of a fascinating new book, Our Grandchildren Redesigned: Life in a Bioengineered Society. READ MORE

Universities work to purge male students of their ‘toxic’ masculinity

1-masculinity-e1434847846900
Universities across the nation are taking steps to actively purge male students of what’s been labeled “toxic masculinity.” Examples abound of campuses hosting training sessions, group meetings, lectures and other programs to effectively cleanse what many campus leaders and left-leaning scholars contend is an unhealthy masculinity in young men today. On campus, toxic masculinity is often blamed for sexual violence, body shaming, a “hyper-masculinized sporting culture,” acts of domestic terrorism and much more.
For example, a class at Dartmouth College this semester, “The Orlando Syllabus,” identifies so-called toxic masculinity as playing a role in the mass murder spree at a Florida club during the summer. This despite the fact that the gunman, Omar Mateen, told police on the phone as he committed the massacre he did it on behalf of ISIS. READ MORE

Expert Claims Media Driving Demonic Activity

halloween
Huge spikes are being reported in demonic activity all over the world. Black masses and blasphemous rituals held in cities around the country. The rise of Satanism as devil worshipers openly organize in what was once a Christian country. Suddenly, Halloween doesn’t seem so innocent anymore. Karl Payne, the former chaplain of the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks and a pastor at Antioch Bible Church in Redmond, Washington, has been engaged in the spiritual fight against demons for many years.
Calling demons real, powerful and dangerous, he chronicled his fight against them in his book “Spiritual Warfare.” And he argues the media is encouraging a troubling trend with its sensational and borderline celebratory treatment of a serious issue. “I believe there is a correlation between the media’s incessant and increasing promotion of these kinds of subjects and an increased workload for those of us who actually work with real demonization and deliverance,” the pastor told WND. Partially naked female clown charged with chasing cars

A woman was arrested Thursday after numerous witnesses called 911 to report that a partially nude woman wearing clown makeup was chasing cars and jumping in and out of traffic on a country road in Cunningham.

Candice A. Kreidel, 37, was charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication and making non-emergency 911 calls.
According to an arrest warrant, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the scene after "a series of calls about a white female wearing clown-like makeup, a stocking cap, and was either partially or completely nude that was running up and down Louise Road, chasing cars and jumping out in front of other cars."
While a deputy was on the way to the scene, 911 received four calls from Kreidel "in which call takers were berated, threatened and cursed," the warrant states.
When the deputy went to Kreidel's home on Louise Road, he found her in a sports bra, pajama-style bottoms, a stocking cap and wearing clown makeup on her face and body. She was also holding a beer.
Kreidel first denied being on the road but later admitted she had been running up and down the road in traffic, the warrant states.
When asked why she called 911 and berated dispatchers, she said it was because "they need to do their jobs."
Kreidel was determined to be intoxicated and a danger to herself and others and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on $1,500 bond.

Texas Man Allegedly Beheaded Wife and Put Her Head in Freezer in Battle of ‘Good and Evil’

A 23-year-old Texas man who police claim confessed to decapitating his 21-year-old wife and placing her head into their freezer allegedly described the killing as “a battle between good and evil” as he was being interrogated, PEOPLE confirms.
On Wednesday, a grand jury returned an indictment against 23-year-old Davie Dauzat, who allegedly stabbed Natasha Dauzat to death in August while their young children were in a separate room of their Bellmead, Texas, home.
The indictment charges Davie with a single count: murder for his wife’s Aug. 25 death.
He remains in police custody on $500,000 bond.
According to the indictment, police received a call the morning of Aug. 25 from Davie’s brother, who told investigators he was worried about Davie after speaking with him on the phone. The brother told police Davie made “weird statements” during the call and asked “funny questions.”

He told police he wasn’t sure if his brother’s statements were drug-induced or serious.
Police were dispatched to the Dauzat home, but Davie refused to come out, the indictment alleges. Over time, officers were able to talk him into surrendering. Once inside the home, they found the couple’s children unharmed but drenched in their mother’s blood.
The medical examiner ruled Natasha’s cause of death due to “sharp-force injuries, including decapitation,” according to the indictment.
Davie allegedly admitted to police that killing his wife was wrong but later defended the move, arguing the slaying “was a battle between good and evil,” according to the indictment.
Davie allegedly told investigators he’d used drugs prior to the slaying, but the indictment doesn’t list any substances other than marijuana, which he had smoked with his wife earlier that day.
Joseph Marcee, Davie’s attorney, did not return calls seeking comment. It is unclear if Davie has entered a plea.

DAYS OF LOT: Children’s Magazine Pressured to Include Depictions of Homosexual Families

Thailand Surrogacy Trail
Highlights for Children, which publishes magazines for children 12 and under, is being pressured to showcase homosexual families, according to Life Site News. A girl identified as “Kristina” wrote to the magazine’s editors asking why they don’t depict families with homosexual partners regularly and positively throughout the magazine.
The editors wrote back, saying, “We understand your wish to see your family’s situation represented in Highlights.” They said it was “very important to us that every child see his or her ‘face’ in the pages of our magazine at some point.” They assured “Kristina” that they would “think deeply about inclusion.” FULL REPORT

Microchip Implants Being Marketed As Human Body Enhancements

biochipfeb122016
Microchipping of animals for medical and tracking experiments has gradually become acceptable, but humans? Whoa, not so fast! Privacy proponents, conspiracy theorists and faith-based groups have consistently warned of the dangers from their various viewpoints. And yet, those nagging concerns are slowly fading, as people become conditioned to embracing
the attendant security and convenience while shrugging off the risks. This transition has been made easier by a subtle but powerful change in strategy that fights the psychological barriers: microchip implants for human beings are now being marketed as enhancements to the human body; the creation of a ‘superman’, of sorts. Wayward Pine: Man Dressed as a Tree Arrested for Blocking Traffic

A Maine man decked out as a pine tree was arrested this week after cops say he refused to stop blocking a town intersection.
Asher Woodworth was approached by officers with the Portland Police Department Monday when they say he appeared in a downtown street covered head-to-toe in evergreen boughs.
Officers told the 30-year-old he was free to go so long as he stayed out of the way of traffic. "I’ll accept your silence as you understand. You’re free to go. Stay out of the roads," an officer tells Woodworth in video taken by WHCS.
Police then walked away. However, Woodworth allegedly then walked back into traffic and was arrested.
According to officers, Woodworth said his motivation for the stunt was to see how people would react to his "performance" and how he might impact "people's natural choreography

A giant nude statue in California is stirring controversy

There have long been complaints about the lack of women in the tech industry. Now there's a towering female figure, in a tech park across the bay from San Francisco, although not quite what some people had in mind.

A 55-foot tall statue of a nude woman unveiled this week in the working-class community of San Leandro is stirring controversy and a lot of conversation.
The statue — roughly three times as tall as Michelangelo's David — is made of steel mesh in the form of a graceful dancer, with an arched back and arms stretched overhead. At the base of the statue is a message in 10 languages that says: "What would the world be like if women were safe?"
The debate is not over the statue's artistic merit or its message of female empowerment, which is aimed at the general public, not the tech industry. It centers on whether the 13,000-pound nude is appropriate in public.
"If she's a ballerina, she should have some clothes on," said Tonette Watts, 57, a resident and mother of a teen girl, who stopped and stared at the statue on her way to work. "If you've got kids you do not want them seeing that."

Hollywood's New Male Cosmetic Surgery Trend: Scrotox (Yes, Really)

This growing trend — which makes testicles appear larger and decreases sweating and wrinkling in the area — costs between $1,500-$3,000.

Yes, this — ahem — growing trend in male cosmetic surgery is exactly what you think it is. Men looking to make their testicles appear larger as well as decrease sweating and wrinkling in the area are shelling out between $1,500 and $3,000 for botulism toxin injections done directly into the skin of the scrotum. As with all Botox, effects last for three to six months.
Saturday Night Live spoofed the treatment in 2010, but it's no joke now. Beverly Hills-based surgeon Jason Emer performs the procedure a few times a week and links its rise in popularity to the booming women's genital plastic surgery market.
Andrew Ordon, board-certified plastic surgeon and Emmy-nominated co-host of The Doctors, agrees. "This year there was a huge trend in vaginal rejuvenation," says Ordon, who also is an assistant clinical professor of plastic surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. "It is clear that we are going to be seeing more done on men's private areas, for men wanting smoothing down there." Most offices that perform the procedure offer a topical numbing cream, he adds, so "pain-wise it really isn't that bad."

When is that comet coming again?
