Another "traditional" Bishop Removed by Francis

Another "traditional" Bishop Removed by Francis

Another traditional bishop has been removed in Italy from Bergoglio: is this the retaliation for the defeat at the synod? Mons. Oliveri has been removed because of old sexual scandals in which priests of his diocese were involved. The cases involved concerned cases of female partners of the priests and all Italian dioceses are ridden with this sort of scandals, in all ages. However, now, “good” bishops are pardoned, “bad” ones are removed with public infamy. So, don’t bother really about sexual scandals, only make sure to be on the good side of the fence. Mons. Oliveri was not involved in such scandals which happened in his diocese. However Mons. Oliveri has been a very “bad” bishop, well known to have celebrated in 2008, just a year after the Motu Proprio, a pontifical Mass (i.e. high Mass) in the Tridentine liturgy in Latin in the cathedral of Albenga for the perpetual profession of vows by a few nuns of the Immaculata. Clearly we do not want to defend the perpetrators of sexual scandals. Nonetheless the selective use of cold cases is a far greater scandal than the sexual scandals themselves.
