NOVUS ORDO: "Catholic" university advertises lesbian ‘wedding’

"Catholic" university advertises lesbian ‘wedding’

Above left you see a photo published in Rivier Today, the magazine of Rivier University, below, first and second rows. Rivier University is a Catholic institution founded by the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary and to this day is under their direction.

In its Spring issue released in June 2018, page 30 is dedicated to weddings of alumni. It features the lesbian "wedding" of alumna Jordan Hanson, who graduated in 2013, with Kendra Legere. The ceremony took place on September 3, 2017.

In its mission statement, Rivier University affirms that it is "committed to the faith heritage, intellectual tradition and social teachings of the Roman Catholic Church." However, the Catholic Church condemns active homosexuality as well as lesbian "marriages."

It is not a small contradiction, but we do not believe that Bishop Peter LIbasci of Manchester, NH, the Diocese where Rivier University is located, or his superior, the Archbishop of Boston Cardinal Sean O'Malley, will say a single word against the directors of that College.

Some good comments on this contradiction can be read here.
