CHARISMANIA: About 30,000 charismatic people flood the streets of Rome
There was a special atmosphere around the Vatican. More than 30,000 charismatic people flooded the streets of Rome to celebrate the 50th anniversary, the Golden Jubilee, of the "Catholic Charismatic Renewal".

"We
have come here with joy to celebrate the jubilee of the Catholic
Charismatic Renewal in the Holy Spirit. Pope Francis said it is a great
holiday, because it is the birthday of the Catholic Church."
In just a few years, the fire of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal spread through more than 200 countries. Thus, it is no surprise that people from all continents were seen in St. Peter's. Many of them were from Latin America.

"I
started my trip in Paris. I've been traveling alone for four weeks to
get here. I have experienced a lot of things, and I have felt the
presence of God in many moments; in Belgium, in Paris. When I was in
Croatia I always knew people would help me, I was lost but the local
people always help you.”
The Holy Spirit is the center of this charisma, and his jubilee began in St. Peter's Square. So far, all of these people participated in the pope's weekly catechesis.
POPE FRANCIS
"Hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit."
It is only right that this great celebration of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal is taking place on Pentecost. It was born on February 17, 1967 by a group of college students after a retreat.
At that time, no one thought that 50 years later their spirituality
would become one of the most active realities of the twenty-first
century Church.
