Day of Wrath Cometh: Opportunities

Every eagle should be excited for
the great storm ahead! The Saints longed
to live in our times to see the Mighty Hand of God at work against His enemies
but even more so for the opportunities that will be presented to us in our
daily lives. Yes, we are entering the
worst period of human suffering thus the BEST time to sanctify our own
souls. God wants to see all men saved
but very few understand this gift of holy suffering. Due to self-love we seek to flee from
suffering and yet if we do we will literally be running from our own
sanctification. What are you willing to
suffer for Christ? Do you choose to
suffer in some areas but not in another because it is inconvenient? Do you only read about the Cross or do you
embrace the crosses God gives you? Yes,
the Day of Wrath is nearly here BUT do not miss out on the Wind of this Great
Storm which seeks to rise us to new heights above the Storm itself! Therefore, remember that this work within you
is Divine. Let the Master paint upon
your surface that which pleases Him.
Physical Fortress or Spiritual
Fortress?. Yes we must defend against the
enemies of God in a most literal sense but what is most important is the
Fortress of the Soul. Therefore, analyze
interiorly your progress or lack thereof in order to make sure you are making
progress. Are you spending too much time
in one area and not another? Are you
balanced between the contemplative and active ways? Do you put the needs of others first or are
yours the only thing that matters? Are
you ready to die for the faithful, the Church and Christ or ready to go run to
your underground bunker? Brethren, we
have so many opportunities it is really frightening to think about how many we
miss during the day to act on behalf of Selfless Love. The good news is that, like the driver’s
test, we can, reschedule, so that we can get it right the next time. However, you will not succeed interiorly if
you are overly distracted with worldly cares.
The world sways to and fro and due to evil men changes her course BUT we
can have the peace of God continually no matter what is going on in the world.
Crosses provide us with the opportunity
to grow. Sadly, most are so self-absorbed
they do not want to free themselves from this bondage. As Catholics it is demanded by Christ that
EACH DAY (not once a week or once a month) we deny our self, take up our Cross
and follow Him. When trial comes it is
very natural to the Christian to run to Christ yet sadly in these modern times
all too few are running to Him even as He did with His own Mother. That is why God will be sending such a Storm
so that we can turn WHOLLY back unto Him.
Many will only give so much of their hearts and O’ how this pains the
Sacred Heart! Many left Christ when it
was time for Him to suffer now what about you?
Will you deny our Lord just because the “heat in the kitchen” is getting
turned up alittle? God is looking to see
how much you truly will give to Him.
Will you give your body up for Him even as He did for thee? Or will you only give him that one hour on
Sunday for Mass? Where do you fall in on
Love’s timeline? A wife knows when Her
husband has put very little thought into a gift given. How much more does the Beloved of souls know
your very heart? He knows how much time
you are giving Him and how much you can give Him? Remind yourself, this day, you were placed on
this earth, to give glory to God, to become One with God, thus, talk to Him all
day.
In my rather brief yet successful
business career before Our Lord and Lady called me out of this world to
evangelize...we had a saying.
There are no problems only opportunities. If we see problems everywhere we have a
tendency to become too negative and I believe this is true. Do not let the sad reality of our times get
a hold of what you claim to possess within.
The world cannot take what you have within therefore why worry which way
the wind of this world blows? Be simple,
humble and control what you can control.
Look for those opportunities STARTING NOW before the Storm gets here and
this transition will be only that more gratifying and rewarding (if God wills
it). In the end we should only have a
healthy fear of God and a genuine mistrust of our self. We must fight the self daily! The devil can only tempt BUT he cannot force
us to concede. He cannot step over the
boundaries of our will and force us to do anything so be on guard. Stay in prayer, read Scripture, the
encyclicals, Councils, writings of the Saints, perform works of charity and do
not be caught off guard. For in the end,
we have all be given the card, an invite to our spiritual wedding but the Beloved
hands it to us with the date left blanked.
We do not know the day nor the hour God is coming for our souls
therefore like a good house wife stay busy, Amen
