Easter Reflections

Easter Reflections
By: Eric Gajewski

He is risen! Glory be to God in the Highest! Let us keep our hearts pure and unleavened as the Apostle says in sincerity and in truth.  His “It is finished” now turns into my “now I begin”.  His death is my soul’s new life and because He lives now I live.  Because of His death this grants me the opportunity to avoid the second death for now in passing through the grace of Christ I may potentially only “sleep” in Him.  Death has no sting where perfect peace abides. This is the day the Lord hath made let us rejoice and be glad! Be ye glad in all things for if our hearts our united in His we can have this perfect peace.  Lord, grant your peoples the great grace of “removing the stone” away from our hearts, in so that, we may see as eagles clearly and perfectly.  For, we eagles, were meant for the skies and thus we pray, that where You are, we too, one day, might join in this Unending Vision with Thee.

Make the resolution to be thankful every day going forward.  He is “all” and so many act as if He is “second solution”.  O’ silly modern man when wilst the old leaven be made a new!  You make resolutions to further yourself inwardly and you hardly follow up!  Does the man who merely reads the recipe for the Bread eat of it?  Does he eat if he does not mix the ingredients and put it in the oven and then take it out at the appropriate time?  Therefore, make resolutions to grow in Selfless Love and follow through.  Pray that you might be so courageous  to rise early in the morning like Mary Magdalene to seek Him out when “all seems lost” (supposedly).

Love cannot be conquered!  He has the final say in all matters and with all things.  He cannot be held back by death nor any stone, therefore, what is your excuse today?  Love issues a challenge. What excuse will you give Our King this day as to why you will not seek Him nor His glory in all things?  Why are you afraid of becoming a Saint?  Why do you think of Christ only in the time of “need” rather than speaking to the Beloved at all times and thanking Him for all things?  Many are those who say they are His friend but how few in reality on His end does He call “friend”.  Still further, Charity conquers self and yet it is this self we often (through our actions) call “friend”.  On this Easter let us be reminded that He is risen and yet how often do we willfully slumber along living beneath our own dignity we have now in Christ.

Eagles learn to fly.  More specifically, eagles learn by trial and error how to fly.  Do we expect it to be any different in the interior life?  Make no mistake my good friends you will fail in the trial of Faith vs fear.  But with every failure comes the Wind of God’s mercy to keep us trying.  Christ, our Great Eagle and model has given us the path to Ascension and this rising to meet Him cannot be accomplished without Faith.  Therefore, live “knowing” and not doubting! For if we believe that God has our best interest than how can we possibly say that what God allows in our lives is evil?  Christ is our Heavenly Bread which feeds and does not poison!

Why thence do we second guess God? Wisdom replieth, “Because man first thought he was sufficient”.  Man thinks (in his horizontal view) He knows his own path to obtain the Everlasting Crown.  Man thinks his way can be made to fit God’s ways rather than we submitting to the Divine Will. What folly!  Remove the stone over your hearts and see that He is gone from “captivity” and that He is still with us.  Because He does not show Himself immediately does not mean He is not there.  But in Faith we must arise every morning like Mary Magdalene to seek Him when we think He is “not accessible”. Nay, Christ removed that stone forevermore and so too must we follow this model.  For Victory has a Name and He is called Jesus.  Thus, be alive, suffer with a smile and do not let the fear of the “height of your nest” overcome your Faith to “spread your wings” and attempt to fly.  For we can do all things in Christ even arise from the dead.  And so, we too, pray this day, that the spiritually dead (due to mortal sin) arise this Easter.  We too pray for consistency of heart.  We too pray that vices may break upon the Eternal Rock.  And as the angel said “Go now your way” and follow continue to seek Christ...may you all have a holy Easter and please keep me in prayer.
