Suffer Nothing?

Suffer Nothing?
By: Eric Gajewski
"In human nature we choose to suffer nothing yet He chose to suffer all things"

One of the glaring signs that we are in the endtimes is the (evident) widespread traces of self found throughout society.  Everyone seemingly competing for attention which is displayed in a variety of ways.  Self is dominating hearts and thus has taken over society. I recently had a conversation with a protestant who was disgusted at the notion of having to "suffer" and this is quite common amongst protestant heretics.  We see this same disposition in the heretical Conciliar Church and its charismatic movement.  Why do men no longer want to carry their own Cross?  Why do men want to outsource this job to someone else?  Joy, yes but affliction and toil, no?  Yet true joy is found in Holy Suffering wherest two hearts become One. Is not the Cross still the way to heaven?  How are we to be molded by the Divine Hand if we constantly flee in fear from "having to bare with some pain and affliction"?  How is the haughty "self" ever going to be smashed and ridden of forever unless the Cross weighs down heavily upon it?

In the next life there is no running from the Cross.  So why are you fleeing now?  Are the souls in Purgatory able to flee?  They see very clearly how the soul must be freed from the smudges of self; it is painful yet delightful.  They know one day they shalst be freed utterly from the venial sins that self has caught them in but for now suffer is what they knowSuffering is a great form of prayer and yet is this how modern man views it? In human nature we choose to flee because it takes grace to stand firm and accept the Crosses that come our way.  Thus, we can see clearly how must are void or have very little grace because they are frequently fleeing. We choose comfort in this life thinking we shall flee suffering in the next....not a chance!

Yea, I love Christ and therefore I love my sufferingSelfless Love Himself suffered and yet heretics think they need not suffer on the account He suffered it all for us.  They do not understand the very deep principles of how the heart and soul operate.  We are all born with the virus of self and over time (past the age of reason) we are widely collecting these smudges and wearing them invisibly upon our soul.  A heart in mortal sin is completely cutoff from God's grace and the soul in state of grace must do its best daily to limit these little smudges attributed to self.  Holy suffering helps to sanctify the soul; it is the chisel which molds the soul into the Divine likeness.

O' blind souls, Holy Suffering is the medicine not the poison!  Do we really think we have it "all that bad" in light of how the Saints suffered?  Is it suffering to mow the lawn? To take out the garbage? To watch your favorite sports team lose? A stubbed toe? Somebody called you bad names? To miss one meal?  To not be able to afford the newest nike's?  We live in truly insane times where modern man has created a false world around him but this false city first starts within himself.  In this dark hour will you respond as an eagle and go "above and beyond" what the Church would ask of you in terms of penance?  Saints will and souls who live by the law of self will do what the priest says after absolution and call it a day. No, they will call it a week or even a month until the next time they go into the confessional.  Lax and tepid souls are contributing to the madness in our society so let us not blame the person to right or left. Let us all  take a good long look in the Mirror to see "close up" all the ugly blemishes that we need ourselves to cover up via God's grace, Amen

Suffer Nothing?
Suffer me not
Not to suffer at all
For He brings me closer
To the God of All Wonders
He is my closest Brother
Who didst not even spare Our holy and sinless Mother
And in this suffering I seest not only the Face of Christ
I, too, like Him, become, in and of Him, another...
