Divine Words Possess Power

Divine Words Possess Power
By: Father Voigt (Resistance)

"One word printed in ink make thousands and perhaps millions think."  Words in the Mind of God are divine Persons.  Words in the minds of men will determine the direction of lives for years to come.  It is no accident that on this week called "the Passion Week" that we begin with the Jesus-Jewish dialogue concerning the acceptance or rejection of the Word spoken for the salvation of men.

Preconception #1:  Words from the mouth of our Lord retain the divine qualities that can change the future of every soul that will hear and keep them.  In the first place the words of God are like unto God in that they are Creative.  God spoke the word:  "Let there be light."
There was light.  In Hebrew the word is translated with "dabar" which has the connotation of immediately being fruitful.  God speaks and it is done.

Preconception #2:  Divine Words by their very nature will divinize the soul that will meditate upon them and guard them in their hearts.  Hence one who listens to, reads and reflects upon the words of our Lord will become like the person of Christ Himself.  This is the process which characterizes the saints.  Consider St. Francis of Assisi who treasured every piece of paper that possessed the word of God written upon it.  Reflect upon those saints that would memorize entire sections of the Bible.  Our great St. Thomas Aquinas used to recommend sticking as close as possible to the word of God in explaining any topic that arises in our Faith.

Preconception #3:  Words from the heart of God never change but interpret and predict all that has taken place and all that will take place and hence they are Prophetic.  One who knows the Word of God will be able to read the signs of the times and let you know what will happen next.
The soul that is grounded in the holy word is confident in the providence of God.  This providence rules the world and everything and everyone in it.  We have only to turn to the words of our Lord to know exactly what is taking place with the Mystical Body of Christ in the world today.

In summation the Word of God is Eternal (Divine), Creative and Prophetic.  These qualities will accompany the priest or any other serious Catholic who studies the person of Our Lord.  Now to the point at hand with the conflict between our Lord and the Jews.  Acceptance of the word relates to knowledge of God while rejection of His word is indicative of union with Satan.  There must be a realization in the soul that God the Father is revealing Himself through His Son's words and works.  The two are in union and if you reject the words then you will reject the works as well.

How well we see this in the resurrection of Lazarus or the story of the man born blind.  The works are rejected by the Jewish leaders simply because that will not admit that the words of a carpenter's Son are divine, prophetic and creative.  "Where did He get all this wisdom?"  Jesus was a mystery to them but one which they could not allow to exist.  His truth was too broad for their heretical minds. So today in the battle for the fullness of faith.

To preserve the faith and carry on the mission of Archbishop Lefebvre, the critics come from the very bowels of the Society of St. Pius Xth.  As usual the formula of Blaise Pascal echoes in our hearts:
"Ignorance condemns; knowledge affirms."  The leadership condemns Bishop Williamson because they are in mental union with the heretics crowding the Vatican and professing an heretical council. The crisis in the Church has not changed but worsened because the priests who should resist the council and its heresies have made peace with it in their hearts.

The Neo-SSPX has sunk.
Pray Bishop Tissier leaves that disaster
lest he endanger his own soul
working these pseudo traditionalist compromisers
They have turned from being warriors to simply "wimps" that issue the same old "ad hominem" falsehoods to placate a  traditional populations that wants convenience and the comfort of the old SSPX without the battle.  Truth does not change; truth cuts down to the very heart of the situation and truth will out.  Thank God for Bishop Williamson's act and for the gift of a new bishop to battle alongside Bishop Williamson for the Word of Truth:  the Faith.  May this resistance to error continue to flourish and rebuild the Mystical Body in enthusiastic fire.

In the hearts of Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

Fr. Richard Voigt
