St. Joan of Arc & the Restoration of Social Kingship of Christ

St. Joan of Arc & the Restoration of Social Kingship of Christ
By: Walter Adams

I am convinced that St. Joan of Arc will play a key role in the decisive victory for the Church in the current battle with the Revolution. The Kingdom of God on earth, the Church, today is engulfed in the revolutionary flames of modernism. Furthermore, the modern culture that is the landscape around that Kingdom is also engulfed in those flames. The world in general is engulfed in those flames. Our aim as Catholic counterrevolutionaries is to extinguish those flames and rebuild the Church and society on the eternal truths established by God through the Natural Law and, more fully, through His revelations entrusted to His Church. Our aim is the Divine Order, “on earth as it is in Heaven.” We believe that the Catholic Monarchy is the form of earthly government most suitable to this aim.

Why do I believe that Joan of Arc will play a key role in this victory? Is it simply that we are Monarchists, and she crowned a King? Do we merely feel an affinity for her particular period of history?

I speculate that she will play a key role in saving the Church for a couple of reasons.
The first is based on the timing of her canonization. Joan was canonized in the early 20th century, almost 500 years after her execution. One can imagine why it might have taken so long given the political difficulties. Yet, for whatever reason, she was, in fact, canonized “not so long ago” in Church-time. Why? Could it be that Our Lord and Our Lady now desire devotion to her more than ever? Could it be that St. Joan, after defending the Kingdom of France here on earth, now has a more significant Heavenly responsibility?
His lord said to him: Well done, good and faithful servant, because thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will place thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
~Matthew 25:21 (Douay-Rheims)

The second point is based on more analogical grounds. The situation in the Church today bears a strong resemblance to the situation of France during Joan’s life. Enemies both outside and inside attacked the Kingdom of France during the 15th century. The English and the French Burgundians worked together in an alliance against the Armagnacs of Charles VII who was, as Joan’s Heavenly Voices informed her, the “true King of France.”

Joan’s France serves as an analogy for the Church today. The Church is like 15th century France where the “true King” Jesus Christ, in His Body the Church Militant, is attacked and threatened from without and within. He is attacked by the evils of atheistic secularism from without and by modernists traitors from within. We have to battle French Burgundians in our midst as we fight the enemy from without. Who better to help us, who understands the terrain and the necessary battle tactics better, than Joan of Arc!

Yes, perhaps the Lord and Our Lady desire more devotion to Joan. Perhaps they desire that Joan form another army, a spiritual army, for the defense of Holy Mother Church, the Kingdom of God on earth, just as she formed an army for the defense of the Kingdom of France.

This is one of the reasons I have promoted the Counterrevolutionary and Royal Army of America, that is, to help St. Joan of Arc put together a spiritual army under the banner and mantle of the Blessed Virgin Mary for the defense of the Church and the enthronement “on earth as it is in Heaven” of Jesus Christ, Who is the King of all Kings. We aim to see the Social Kingship of Christ recognized in every land on earth, beginning with our own.

St. Joan of Arc, pray for us and lead us in this battle!

Chant à Sainte Jeanne d'Arc
