O’ modern man ye have fallen victim to “self’ and become her prey
You hoard and greed and have succumb to the disease of “me”
You gripe and worry over the “least things” in vanity which mean nothing, in hells’ fury
As you continue to grumble and complain
Ye, who turn your heads now toward the true God
And “lean in” with “itching ears” that appear to hear
But it is this self which seeks in the end to be “satisfied” all the same
Your hearts hidden away from men which shut down and turn away
You, who please the “me” and who do not get your own way!
Do not take these words lightly but place them upon your heart to weigh
Do you not realize you ferociously head down hells highway?
A One way street and so for this, nay, I pray…
Quit your self-centeredness and harken to heareth an eagle and what he has to say!
Man, who exalts only “self”, who is still but only a construct of “passing clay”
Sit down long enough if u can…. to meditate
Did thee arise in good health with another early morn’ to claim?
Did thee see those loved ones who keep ye at times from running astray?

Yea, I speak to you…
Who would complain in the winter of soul for the arrival of the spring of day
Did ye have a pillow to rest on and upon which to lay?
Did ye have a roof over your head and a warm place to stay?
You, who turn your back on Gods Catholic truth and those who at Vatican II didst betray!
In God’s mercy, He still provides for the birds
And yet even more so unto us thru food…. does He still not sustain?
You say, “Tomorrow I shall be content, yes maybe someday…”
But did you greet the sun this afternoon underneath his rays?
Or do you always overlook His loving work due to self and run toward “the gray’
That impedes true joy and blocks out the Son from above and will always be your delay
Were you able today to hear the voices of the children in the street play?
Did you greet Gods “littlest creatures” with appreciation?
Or did you walk on by all this love that He conveys?
And when the economies of the world collapse and nations turn unto war
Will ye ever stop for one minute just to pray?
And sail upon the seas of silence for the Isle of Solitude
Yea, this Patmos within every eagle on the surface can portray
O’ blind fools do you not see it is “the self” which is the souls decay!
Will ye continue to live by the law of man, this law of self?
Or will ye run into the Arms of the One
Who is Our Source, the Sacred Son and follow the Law of His Heart
And Selfless Love’s Way?
Yea, once again, I exclaim, in Love’s humility
When we are found with “nothing” we can learn to be “free”
Stripped and detached, void of self, under the branches of Mary, Paradises Tree
And now be “all things in Christ” and so…
I offer Thee my own “little sufferings” as a spiritual bouquet
And in my wretched nakedness I cry as eagle above from on high
For even “without”… I am truly found “with”… therefore in each and every little blessing going forward I shall say…“today was a very good day!”

Christ upon the Cross, our Great Eagle, showed us how to be free. He showed us that this world is so ruined by self but it is thru His Sacred Heart that we find the true path to freedom and liberty. And it is in our own daily crosses by which we spread our own wings and learn to live in the Way of Selfless Love. Those who will doubt, worry and fear will remain on the edge of the cliff unable to spread their wings, therefore, they will not fly and yet this was what we were made for. Therefore, brethren, doubt not Gods Plan in the soon chastisements to come for His Wings spread and reach far across this world and stretch into the World to come. Take time to appreciate God and all He has done, rather than focus on those things He did not allow, for they obviously were not beneficial to your own salvation. Have faith, conquer with conviction, press on and doubt not. I am an eagle what about you?
