WE HAVE MOVED!

"And I beheld, and heard the voice of one eagle flying through the midst of heaven,
saying with a loud voice: Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth....

Happy Anniheresy!

Happy Anniheresy!
One year ago today, I wrote: April 8, 2016 will go down in history as one of the most tragic in the history of the Catholic Church.
At the time, I had in mind, of course, Amoris Laetitia, which had been released to the public earlier that day.
Since then, nothing has changed my mind about the notoriety that will ever be attached to this date.
As my commentary (and others) leading up to the official release of the text will attest; its contents, while stunning in the details, didn’t really come as a surprise.

After all, there was precious little evidence to that point (and even less now) that its author actually holds the Catholic faith in any appreciable measure.
What has come as a surprise, to me at any rate, is a tragedy perhaps even greater than the document itself, and that concerns the behavior of so many otherwise intelligent, faithful men who have thus far proven themselves to be either incapable of, or unwilling to, meet the Bergoglian crisis head on.
Truly, I never imagined that those upon whom countless confused Catholics have come to rely over the years would waver to the extent that they have; choosing their words ever so carefully even as Our Lord is openly blasphemed, heresies are boldly proclaimed, and countless souls are being led to eternal death.
Yes, it has been a tragic year indeed, and there is every reason to believe that things are going to get worse before they get better. Justice demands it. Our Lady foretold it.
No, you and I cannot consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart as requested at Fatima. It is easy to feel powerless. I get it.
But Our Lady also said:
“I wish, with My Son, for souls who will repair, by their suffering and their poverty, for the sinners and ingrates … Prayer, penance, and courageous sacrifices can soften the Father’s anger.” (Akita, 1973)
This, all of us can do. In fact, we must. Time is of the essence.
