WE HAVE MOVED!

"And I beheld, and heard the voice of one eagle flying through the midst of heaven,
saying with a loud voice: Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth....

Works of Mercy: Teen Spends Entire Paycheck on Family Who Couldn't Afford Christmas

Works of Mercy: Teen Spends Entire Paycheck on Family Who Couldn't Afford Christmas
This is how you get the job done...
A 16-year-old girl made one family’s Christmas extra special this year after spending her paycheck on gifts for a mom and her four boys in need.

Abby Meehan was working a double shift at her cashier's job at Baesler’s Market on Christmas Eve when she learned that customer Cory Swetland was unable to afford to buy presents for her children.

Fr. Voigt, "Times Evoke Blessing or Blasphemy"

Fr. Voigt, "Times Evoke Blessing or Blasphemy"

Blessing or Blasphemy?  What will it be for you or for me?  Do we run out of the house and head for the hills?  Do we fly to the roof and hide from the world below?  We have come to a point in the message of our Lord that tells us that all things are coming to a futile end.  St. Paul reminds us that the world was created for "futility".  Everything in this world of our is destined to fail us.  As our Lord said:  "Seek the kingdom of heaven and all else will be yours."  So as all things collapse about us do we "bless" God or do we "blaspheme His name."  Let us consider a few points and ponder their conclusion.

THE CRY OF THE SOULS IN PURGATORY TO US

THE CRY OF THE SOULS IN PURGATORY TO US
by Rev. John Evangelist Zollner, 1884
"Friend, lend me three loaves."--Luke, 11: 5

The efficacy of continued, fervent prayer, our dear Lord one day illustrated to His disciples by a very consoling example: A man went to a friend’s house at midnight, asking him to lend him three loaves of bread, because he had nothing to set before a friend of his who had come off his journey to visit him. We may easily imagine, that this petition, at midnight, was very inopportune to the friend, who with his children, had retired to rest for the night; he, therefore, refused the petitioner, in these words: "Trouble me not, the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee."--Luke, 11:7.

Day of Wrath Cometh: Opportunities Ahead?

Day of Wrath Cometh: Opportunities Ahead?
By: Eric Gajewski

Apocalypse (Revelation) 6:17
For the great day of their wrath is come, and who shall be able to stand?

Every eagle should be excited for the great storm ahead!  The Saints longed to live in our times to see the Mighty Hand of God at work against His enemies but even more so for the opportunities that will be presented to us in our daily lives.  Yes, we are entering the worst period of human suffering thus the BEST time to sanctify our own souls.  God wants to see all men saved but very few understand this gift of holy suffering.  Due to self-love we seek to flee from suffering and yet if we do we will literally be running from our own sanctification.  What are you willing to suffer for Christ?  Do you choose to suffer in some areas but not in another because it is inconvenient?  Do you only read about the Cross or do you embrace the crosses God gives you?  Yes, the Day of Wrath is nearly here BUT do not miss out on the Wind of this Great Storm which seeks to rise us to new heights above the Storm itself!  Therefore, remember that this work within you is Divine.  Let the Master paint upon your surface that which pleases Him.

Reflection for the Day- Salt of the Earth

'Those who are called to the table of the Lord must glow with the brightness that comes from the good example of a praiseworthy and blameless life. They must completely remove from their lives the filth and uncleanness of vice. Their upright lives must make them like the salt of the earth for themselves and for the rest of mankind. The brightness of their wisdom must make them like the light of the world that brings light to others. They must learn from their eminent teacher, Jesus Christ, what he declared not only to his apostles and disciples, but also to all the priests and clerics who were to succeed them, when he said, "You are the salt of the earth. But what is salt goes flat? How can you restore its flavor? Then it is good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot."'
St. John of Capistrano

Matthew 5:13
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men.
