Vocations in Ireland – Record Low In 222 Years

Only six seminarians will start this autumn at the National Seminary in Maynooth, Ireland according to Irish News. This is the lowest number of beginners since Maynooth was opened in 1795. The present structure was built for 500 seminarians.

Last year 80 seminarians were studying in Maynooth.

Theophilus of the Trinity and Sr, Bonaventura-Magdalena of Jesus, both of New Zealand, made their profession into the Third Order Secular of St. Francis on October 16, 2016.  Deo gratias!  The ceremony was conducted by Fr. Edward MacDonald.  We thank Father for receiving them during his visit.  Below are a few pictures of the ceremony.
