Apparently the Amerikan Police State is to the point now where they are brazen enough to completely violate our 1st & 2nd amendment rights anytime they feel like it by using the excuse of public safety.  During a Saturday night joint New Orleans Police & Homeland Security press conference, New Orleans Police Superintendent Michael Harrison and Home Land Security Director Aaron Miller, announced that there will be no weapons or masks allowed at the Confederate monument protests.

There's been little talk of gun control this presidential election cycle, although state-level proposals continue to make it onto state ballots. 
Gun control positions have come down along the usual partisan lines. It was clear from Clinton's comments in the final presidential debate, for example, that she desires greater restrictions on access to firearms for private citizens. She expressed no such caution about weaponry carried by government employees, of course.

There is a substantial risk that Hillary “Hitlery” Clinton will become our next President. She is notoriously anti-gun, and has made many promises to her gun-grabbing campaign donors to give “gun control” (read: civilian disarmament) her top priority.
