We’ve seen a lot of riots and protests in recent years over police violence and the election of Donald Trump. While these events certainly don’t bode well for the future, relative to the rest of American history they’ve been pretty tame (at least for now). They only look really serious to us, because many of us have forgotten about just how nasty a riot can get.
For instance, these events hardly compare to the 1992 Los Angeles riots, which raged for days, caused over a billion dollars in damages, and weren’t stopped until the military arrived. 55 people died and over 2,000 were injured. By comparison, the vast majority of the riots that have happened since then haven’t resulted in any deaths at all.

 While not overtly ramping things up as much as the New York Police Department is tonight on the East Coast, the Los Angeles Police Department has quietly put in place plans to counter any disturbances on the streets if GOP nominee Donald Trump is elected president. “The polite thing to say is that this is not unusual, but this has been a very unusual election,” said a senior law enforcement official with knowledge of tonight’s LAPD plans. “We are ready to go into riot mode if required, if the order comes.”

Will this be the most chaotic election day in modern American history? All across the nation, schools are being closed on election day due to safety fears. Traditionally, schools have been very popular as voting locations because they can accommodate a lot of people, they usually have lots of parking, and everyone in the community knows where they are and can usually get to them fairly easily. But now there is a big movement to remove voting from schools or to shut schools down on election day so that children are not present when voting takes place. According to Fox News, “voting has been removed or classes have been canceled on Election Day at schools in Illinois, Maine, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and elsewhere.” Just a couple days ago, I shared with you a survey that found that 51 percent of all Americans are concerned about violence happening on election day, and all of these schools closing is just another sign of how on edge much of the population is as we approach November 8th.

By now most of you have heard of the latest terror event griping the hearts of America and the world.  The shooting in Dallas is sadly only just the beginning of these types of events to spark paranoia into the masses.  As we await to hear who the culprits are be assured there will be more “boots on the ground” in Orwellian fashion not only in Dallas but around the country and even abroad.  But do I feel safer and should you? No, not all.  Secondly, be assured they will further cram down our throats the “need” to take away our guns especially the bigger ones.  This only makes the eventual takeover of the country all the more easier.
