The 2018 Association of U. S. Catholic Priests (AUSCP) annual assembly is being held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, June 25-28. This places the assembly in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, where Archbishop John Wester presides. As we reported previously, the AUSCP is a dissident organization pushing for ordained women deaconesses running priestless parishes among other abuses, so this couldn’t be an official diocesan sponsored event, right?

Wrong.

Tomorrow starts the Fifth Human Diversity Week (April 23-27, 2018) at the Jesuit Ibero-American University in Mexico City. 

 
The event that promotes the LGBT agenda is an initiative of “Plural Ibero,” a university student organization.

Print and digital advertisements on the web and social media feature naked torsos and buttocks of men and women. A promotional video also shows lascivious movements and obscene exchanges of homosexual caresses. The background music in Spanish commands, “Do not define me, do not project your fears onto me.”

A high-ranking priest of the Diocese of Limburg now proposes to establish a special blessing for couples who are either “remarried” or homosexual. The diocese has been working on this project for some years, but the initiative has now gained new energy.
As the official website of the German bishops, Katholisch.de, reported, the Dean of the Catholic Church in Frankfurt, Johannes zu Eltz, on January 20 made the proposal of having a “theologically justified blessing” for those couples who are either homosexual, “remarried,” or who for other reasons do not feel “sufficiently worthy” for the Sacrament of Matrimony.

Fr. Francesco Calcagno was a priest and Franciscan monk in the area of Brescia, Italy, who was arrested after he was caught molesting a little boy.  Fr Peter Smith, the former chancellor of Glasgow archdiocese, told the Catholic Observer, that the reforms of the Second Vatican Council contributed to the Church’s homosexual abuse crisis. In the 1970s priests accused of homosexual abuse were not punished but sent for therapy.

According to Fr Smith the Second Vatican Council “asked us to proceed pastorally” and be “caring for people” instead of the earlier “legalistic” approach.
