"And I beheld, and heard the voice of one eagle flying through the midst of heaven,
saying with a loud voice: Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth....

Preparing Soul and Body for Christmas

Preparing Soul and Body for Christmas

Some of you have asked me how an ideal commemoration of Christmas should be in our days. I believe that the way we commemorate Christmas needs to be revised if we want to understand the ideal way to celebrate it.

The 12 Days of Francis: New Traditionalist Carol!

The 12 Days of Francis: New Traditionalist Carol!
By:  Eric Gajewski
Warning: Sense of Humor needed

Rome Reports is indicating that Francis has recently sent out Christmas cards (see here https://www.romereports.com/en/2017/12/15/card-pope-francis-is-sending-out-for-christmas/) for the holiday season.  Admittingly, there is not much to expose, in the card itself, but one can only wonder what Francis might have had in mind beforehand.  Given all of his novelty this past year or so I decided to bring to you the new traditionalist carol the 12 days of Francis.  It is perfect for the season wherein you can go door to door caroling for your Novus ordo neighbors. Many might object, however, these heretics, are destroying the Church and we are left to cry or only make fun of as Archbishop Lefebvre once did with John Paul II.  Keep in prayer and make reparation but let us face reality.  They have no intention of changing or converting thus we will stand from a distance in hopes that with such humor they might see the folly of their errors.

Attack on Christmas Continues: Paris Cancels Christmas Market, Holds Ramadan Party Every Year
Antichrist Maitreya's plan is to outlaw Christmas altogether.  He will say the Christ is here and "easter" will be year round due to his presence.  This is where we are headed.

European capitulation to Islam continues

The Champs-Élysées Christmas market in Paris has been cancelled by City Hall councillors. It is considered the city’s main Christmas market and welcomes 15 million visitors every year.
According to a spokesperson of the City Hall, the French capital “wants to focus on offering visitors and Parisians more attractive and innovative events that will enhance the Champs-Élysées in a cultural and aesthetic dimension in keeping with this exceptional site”.

Say What? No Christmas for Hoboken?

Muslim Sikh NJ Mayor Just Abolished Christmas ‘to Respect Other Religions’ (Video)

You won’t see businesses in Hoboken, New Jersey, decking the halls anytime soon thanks to the city’s new Mayor, Ravi Bhalla.
Bhalla was elected just yesterday but he has wasted no time implementing his new regime. While he could appreciate the freedom that allowed him to get elected, Bhalla decided to instead spend his early days taking it away from others.

Video of the Day- This World is Thy Ship and Not Thy Home

Video of the Day- This World is Thy Ship and Not Thy Home
Often times at Christmas, we focus on WHO came to the crib… on who came to be with His Majesty, Our Lord and Savior, and His Majestic Virginal Queen Mother, Our Lady. Thus, we often think of St. Joseph, the Shepherds, the Magi as well as the angels.

When do you take down your Christmas Tree?

When do you take down your Christmas Tree?
December 26th? The Twelfth Night (5 January)? The Epiphany (Jan 6th)? Baptism of the Lord (Christmas liturgically ends with the Octave of the Epiphany, January 13th)? The Feast of the Purification (Candlemas, Feb 2nd, Christmas spiritually ends)?

(Those pine needles can often dictate the date!)

This, not Advent, is the true Christmas Season. As most people in secular or Protestantized countries are putting away "Christmas-y" things, and as shopping malls stop blaring "Here Comes Santa Claus," Catholics are just getting started. The cleaning and baking during penitential Advent pays off now, and the feasting and caroling begin!

The Admiration & Tenderness of Our Lady for Her Newborn Son

The Admiration & Tenderness of Our Lady
for Her Newborn Son

Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira

At Christmas, it is natural that our attention is turned toward the feast of the Birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the occasion when, in the most elevated degree, the love of a creature was manifested for God, the Creator – the affection of the heavenly Mother for her one and incomparable Son.

SOURCE
Warning: Sensitive Material
Christmas festivals are typically filled with holiday cheer and carols about peace on Earth. But a Sri Lankan charity event apparently missed the brief. Organizers replaced the words of a traditional Catholic prayer with Tupac lyrics about drugs and thugs.

Christmas, A Royal Holiday

Christmas, A Royal Holiday

Christmas, for those who do not know, is a very monarchy-oriented holiday. Once upon a time, Christians would have taken such a fact for granted but, these days, it probably needs to be stated outright. The birth of Christ was foretold by the Israelite prophecies of a coming savior king as part of the sacred royal line. The prophecies, as most should know from the traditional stories, was that, on this day “a king” would be born and born in the City of David, the foundational monarch of the sacred line of Israel and their most famous monarch. The heralds proclaimed that “a king is born” and we have the three wise men, sometimes themselves referred to as “the three kings” who came to do homage to this new monarch. The story even has a royal villain in the person of King Herod who launched a campaign of infanticide to remove this potential threat to his crown. All of this is why, in the Catholic tradition at least, there is the figure of the Divine Child as a monarch, probably most famously illustrated by the Infant of Prague. None of these facts should surprise anyone, yet few seldom think about how dripping with royalism the holiday of Christmas is. And, it goes far beyond the time and place of the birth of Christ.

The Mystery of Christmas

The Mystery of Christmas

Dom Prosper Gueranger
Christmas Sermon of St. Leo the Great within...

Everything is mystery in this holy season. The Word of God, whose generation is before the day-star, is born in time: A Child is God. A Virgin becomes a Mother and remains a Virgin. Things divine are commingled with those that are human. And the sublime, the ineffable antithesis, expressed by the Beloved Disciple in those words of his Gospel, The Word was made flesh, is repeated in a thousand different ways in all the prayers of the Church.

The Nativity of Our Lord Jesus-Christ

The Nativity of Our Lord Jesus-Christ
by Rev. Fr Charles-Hyacinth Mc Kenna O.P.

During the holy season of Advent, the aim of the Church in her sermons and instructions is to prepare us for a worthy celebration of Our Lord’s Nativity.  She regards this feast as one of the most joyous in her calendar.  To manifest her gratitude for our Redemption, she decorates her altars with richest ornaments.  She clothes her ministers in the garments of joy, and urges them again and again to celebrate the adorable sacrifice of the Mass in thanksgiving for the coming of our Redeemer.
