The official theme is “Amazonia: new pathways for the Church and for an integral ecology”, and it will address the difficulties of a region troubled by poverty, environmental destruction and a lack of clergy to cover a vast area.

A document to introduce married priests is already on the desk of Pope Francis, reports the German weekly Die Zeit (October 25). One of the authors of the text is the Austria born radical modernist Bishop Erwin Kräutler.

According to the weekly Francis "reacts" to an alleged shortage of priests in the Amazon basin where less than 3 million people live of which many are not Catholics.

The term eunuch (/ˈjuːnək/; Greek: εὐνοῦχος)^[1] generally refers to a man who has been castrated,^[2] typically early enough in his life for this change to have major hormonal consequences. In some ancient texts, "eunuch" may also refer to a man who is not castrated but who is impotent, celibate, or otherwise not inclined to marry and procreate.  In Matthew 19:12 we can see very clearly that there are those who for the sake of the Kingdom of God choose to remain celibate.  This article is quite timely considering how Antipope Francis wants to further break down the “tradition” of the Latin Church with potentially allowing “married priests”.  However, this is not the point of this article.  This piece is in response to so many who seem to have no way as a vocation.  They are searching high and low for a “mate” and yet perhaps this is not God’s Will for your life.  I dated an awful lot before my conversion and over time it became quite clear to me the Plan of God for my life.  Stay away from women! HAHA….but seriously I have never been more happier living in the single celibate life.  This coming from a man who sadly was an absolute moral monster before my conversion and ‘ran through” too many women to keep track of.  Are we seeing God calling a good number of souls to be “Endtime Eunuch’s” who can focus alone on God and be at his service for the kingdom?  I do believe this is so.

Francis may soon fulfill the Brazilian bishops' special request to allow married priests to resume their priestly ministry, liberation theologian Leonardo Boff said in a Dec. 25 interview in the German daily Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger.
"The Brazilian bishops, especially the pope's close friend Cardinal Claudio Hummes, have expressly requested Pope Francis to enable married priests in Brazil to return to their pastoral ministry," Boff said. "I have recently heard that the pope wants to fulfil this request — as an experimental, preliminary phase for the moment confined to Brazil."

The Apostolic See has always ensured that the canons forbidding the marriages of Catholics with heretics have been observed religiously. Occasionally such marriages have been tolerated in order to avoid more serious scandals. But, even then, the Roman Pontiffs saw to it that the faithful were taught how deformed these marriages are and what spiritual dangers they present. A Catholic man or woman would be guilty of a great crime if he presumed to violate the canonical sanctions in this matter. And if the Roman Pontiffs themselves very reluctantly relaxed this same canonical prohibition in some serious cases, they always added to their dispensation a formal condition: that the Catholic party must not be perverted, but rather must make every effort to withdraw the non-Catholic party from error and that the offspring of both sexes must be educated entirely in the Catholic religion.

Interviewed a few days ago by Gianni Cardinale for the newspaper of the Italian episcopal conference, “Avvenire,” the secretary general of the synod of bishops, Cardinal Lorenzo Baldisseri, confirmed that the theme chosen by Pope Francis for the new session in 2018 - “Young people, faith, and vocational discernment” - was the same one that the fourteen cardinals and bishops of the synodal secretariat had put on the top of the list of their proposals.

The 2018 synod of Catholic bishops will focus on “Youth, faith and vocational discernment” rather than priestly celibacy.

The Vatican announced the theme of the 2018 synod Thursday, saying that Pope Francis agreed to the theme in consultation with bishops’ conferences, the Eastern Catholic Churches, and “having listened to the suggestions of the Fathers of the last synodal assembly.”

ROME, September 21, 2016 – Pope Francis received in audience a few days ago the Brazilian cardinal Cláudio Hummes, accompanied by the archbishop of Natal, Jaime Vieira Rocha.

Hummes, 82, former archbishop of São Paulo and prefect of the Vatican congregation for the clergy, is today the president both of the commission for the Amazon of the episcopal conference of Brazil and of the Pan-Amazonian Network that joins together 25 cardinals and bishops of the surrounding countryside, in addition to indigenous representatives of different local ethnicities.
