 The Verwaltungsgerichtshof, the German High Court, ruled that a Syrian Muslim, 36, who is "married" to two women, will receive the German passport back.

In 2008 the Syrian married a German woman in Karlsruhe, and seven weeks later his cousin from Syria. Two years later he received German citizenship. After his polygamy became known he was deprived of his citizenship because he had concealed his second wife, when becoming a German.

A court decision backing this decision was now overturned. Both "wives" live in Karlsruhe in different flats.

The number of Catholics and Protestants in Germany sank to a new low in 2016, with the latter hemorrhaging almost 1.6 percent of members in comparison with the previous year. The Catholic Church lost 162,093 members according to numbers released by the German Bishop's Conference on July 21.

According to observers the fate of the German Church is a warning sign for Pope Francis whose so called reform program seeks to implement on a world scale what the German Church introduced already decades ago causing a disastrous outcome.

Health Minister Hermann Gröhe said it was necessary to tighten the law because of a measles epidemic.
A mother of three died of measles in the city of Essen this week.
The government wants kindergartens to report any parents who cannot prove they have had a medical consultation.

If your identity is located in the so-called Holocaust, then whenever a person does not emphasis the Holocaust too much,  you get paranoid. You’re likely to get depressed and inconsolable. And Krauthammer is not exempt from this depressing state.

A taste of Roman civilization and conversion to Christianity culminated in the establishment of the First German Empire, officially known as the “Holy Roman Empire of the German Peoples”. This represented the longest period of time that all the German people were at least nominally united under one Crown. However, it was, in a way, an intermittent empire. For most of its history it was more of a confederacy of loosely associated autonomous states that generally went their own way. It was only occasionally, under such monarchs as Otto the Great, Frederick Barbarossa or Frederick II a united and powerful empire.

Police were out in force at the time of the confrontation but apparently did not act until the refugees began to run from the mob who had gathered at the city’s Holzmarkt.
