"And I beheld, and heard the voice of one eagle flying through the midst of heaven,
saying with a loud voice: Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth....

NEW MOVIE: The Devil and Father Amorth (TRAILER INSIDE)
The official trailer for the documentary "The Devil & Father Amorth" was released. A documentary by William Friedkin, the director of The Exorcist, about one of the most famous exorcists.

Friedkin’s film, The Exorcist was released in 1973 and was included in the genre of horror film. Decades later, the director wanted to know how authentic his film was. How far removed it was from reality, what fiction and what reality was. For this he contacted the most famous exorcist.

Fr. Amorth Interview: The smoke of satan in the house of the Lord

Fr. Amorth Interview:
The smoke of satan in the house of the Lord
Stefano Maria Paci

The following is the first of a two-part interview reprinted from 30 Days in June 2001 in a frank, revealing discussion with the Church's chief exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth conducted by Stefano Maria Paci. Fr. Amorth does not mince words in describing the situation today in the Church, especially in the Vatican itself for he acknowledges that satan has indeed penetrated the hallowed halls and infected countless souls by his insidious campaign to corrupt Holy Mother Church. Though Fr. Amorth points out in this candid conversation that Jesus Christ has assured us"the gates of hell shall not prevail against it", the devil is trying and for Fr. Amorth and others conferred with the very grave responsibility of performing exorcism sometimes their own hands are terribly tied and that can bode well only for the evil one.

'It was terrifying': Exorcist director shares what it was like to film a real exorcism

'It was terrifying': Exorcist director shares what it was like to film a real exorcism
When William Friedkin shot "The Exorcist" in 1973, he had never seen an exorcism, though even at the time he believed in the power of this rite. Decades later, the U.S. director came full circle when he was able to film one close up - involving violent thrashing, foaming at the mouth and screaming - thanks to Father Gabriele Amorth, who performed exorcisms for the Vatican's Rome Diocese. The result is documentary "The Devil and Father Amorth," which screened at the Venice Film Festival. Friedkin spoke to Variety about the experience.

The Devil and Father Amorth: Witnessing “the Vatican Exorcist” at Work

SOURCE

When he made his 1973 classic, The Exorcist, William Friedkin had never seen an exorcism. For decades he wondered how close he had come to reality. So, last May, he followed “the Dean of Exorcists” as he fought to expel Satan from an Italian woman.

Facts About Satan and the Fallen Angels

Facts About Satan and the Fallen Angels

The Pride of Lucifer and His Acolytes

God, in His infinite power, created multitudes of angels, an impressive, incalculable number. One day during an exorcism Father Candido Amantini — a Passionist priest and my great teacher — asked a demon: “How many are you?” The demon responded: “We are so many that if we were visible we would obscure the sun.” The demon on that occasion gave information that we have no reason to disbelieve because it is confirmed in the Bible.

Catholic Church Now Struggles to Keep Up With Exorcism Demand

Catholic Church Now Struggles to Keep Up With Exorcism Demand

Cory Barnett

The Catholic Church received 500,000 requests for exorcisms in 2015. When anyone utters the word 'exorcism', the first thing that comes to the mind is a Catholic priest. Several exorcism movies have been made in Hollywood, including the iconic The Exorcist, that have acted as catalysts in creating these automatic associations. Exorcisms are one of the Catholic Church's most important rites, however, the number of priests who perform exorcisms has been shrinking. Now, it has been discovered that younger members of the clergy are afraid to undergo training to become exorcists—an issue causing alarm among senior priests. Catholic Church Now Struggles to Keep Up With Exorcism Demand Tweet This The lack of interest among priests to perform exorcisms is not new. Ever since the Second Vatican Council, the church underwent a shift from archaic traditions to more liberal doctrines. This liberalization did not go well with traditionalists, many of whom formed a new faction that follow Church traditions more strictly. Among these revisions was the doctrine on Satan, evil, demons, and of-course, possessions. This change in theological dogma set in motion the current trend of denying Satan's existence among the Catholic clergy. Today, a growing number of priests refuse to believe in the church's traditional notions of Satan and the devil, thereby creating a shortage of exorcists. Pope Francis, however, warned Satan is real, despite his reputation for being modernistic in his thoughts. Even as this new trend was causing a lot of worry among senior clergy, the fear younger clerics are showing is causing new ripples of worry among current exorcists. Father Vincenzo Taraborelli, 79, is one such exorcist who is anxious about the church's future. Currently Rome's busiest exorcist, Fr. Taraborelli says around 500,000 requests for exorcisms were made in 2015 alone. This number is too big to be handled by the nine priests who are trained exorcists. Things do not seem very promising in the U.S. either. Although the number of Catholic priests trained in exorcism have increased to 50 from 12, it is still dwarfed by the sudden “boom” in demand for exorcisms in Italy. It's ironic, belief in Satan and exorcisms is seeing such a rise in a time when atheism and religious non-affiliation is higher than ever. Is the media to be blamed? Partly yes, asserts Fr. Taraborelli. He believes magical stories like Harry Potter are influencing people to dabble with the occult.

Anthony studied philosophy and History graduating Magna cum Laude from Loyola University, Los Angeles. This was at the height of the Revolution Mid 1970’s but he was graced by many orthodox Jesuit Priests who still held the Faith intact despite a conflict with the Novus Ordo.  He managed to defend the Faith many times in his classes arguing with Professors and proving the Catholic position over and over again.

After graduating from Loyola he entered St. Michael’s Norbertine Priory and was there for two years. St. Michael’s was at that time 1977-1979 the most orthodox/”traditional” Novus Ordo Seminary in the world at the Time. This, of course, excluding Archbishop Lefebvre of whom there was great sympathy and support at our Seminary. The Hungarian Norbertines had escaped from the Communist through barbed wire and bullets flying so they were well aware of what was happening to the Church and the world at the time. They were therefore highly aware of Zionist influence and would teach us dumb Americans about what really was going on.  He had two years of intensive education in Thomistic Theology.

Video of the Day- Fatima: Fr. Amorth on Russia Consecration, Putin’s Christian Faith
We have to keep praying for the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Once this is done Russia converts to Catholicism and TRUE peace is granted to the world.
