More Ugly Modernist Art: World Youth Day: A Snake Eating the Cross?
On Saturday the logo for the World Youth Day in Panama (January 22-27,
2019) was released. It was designed by the student Ambar Calvo (20) and
claims to show the Panama Canal, the silhouette of Our Lady and a cross.
In social media the logo was interpreted as a snake with open mouth
that is eating the cross that is melting away and losing its form.
