Fr. Voigt, Sunday Reflection - Which God do you Love?
Modern man has succeeded in crucifying God on the altars of materialism and now we
ask "Which God will they love with their whole heart, whole soul, whole mind and whole strength?"Man possesses an eternal cry for a god. There must be a goal in life and so modern man has created three gods to substitute for the True God.
First, modern man produced the god of sensuality in which man's body and his sensual
experiences form the mistaken infinite he seeks. Eroticism is plastered on every billboard,
is presented in every Hollywood film and is sold in every nickel and dime store in the USA.
Is
this the god that we must love with all that we are?Sensuality is
finite and the experiences come to an end producing no happiness but a
desire for something more. Perhaps man's
second god can fill the gap.
In the second place, modern man had constructed an ever growing ego that demands that
everyone
be subjected to his will or whims. From body pleasures he moves to the
pleasure of power. I make the rules. Be sure that no one cross me or
an explosion will occur that will create fear in the other. The ego has
become so large that sooner or later the bubble of pride must burst. When the bubble blows up then the smallness and misery of man becomes
all too obvious. For this reason man must look to another god.
In the third place man enters into the arena of business. Commercial machinations and the
desire for an accumulation of things may fill the void in the desire of the infinite. Modern man
seeks a temporal eternity by placing his value in what he comes to possess. In the end his
possessions
come to possess the man. The consequences of the three modern gods of
man's making cause frustration, anxiety and depression leading to many
suicides.
There is but one infinite God Who recognizes the misery of man and answers it with His mercy. He has sent His only begotten Son that whosoever believes might possess eternal life. We must
desire to love Him with all our heart, all our soul, all our strength
and all our mind. In this way we will come to the work of the infinity
within our souls: to love the other as we have been loved. This divine love has been implanted in each person created in the image and likeness of God. Without this religious realization modern man is doomed to reap leadership that is Marxist.
Tyrants will dominate our age and millions will lose their lives on the altars of the maniacs that
killed the love of God within.
Therefore the role of each believer is to ransom as many souls as we can by daily offering ourprayer and works in a sacrificial mode for the souls of modern man who seeks anonymity in the masses. Let us pray to become the Persons that God created for the restoration of the kingdom of God in this world.
Father Gabriele Amorth, the famous exorcist
of Rome, claims John Paul II was pressured not to name Russia in his
consecration of the world and Russia as requested during the historic Fatima
apparitions.
"We don't have time to analyze this subject,
but I do hold it very dear," he said of the consecration to an outlet called
Fatima TV. "Sister Lucia
always said Our Lady requested the consecration of Russia and only the
consecration of Russia. She also asked the consecration of the world to
another great and young Portuguese saint, Alexandrina Maria da Costa. But
these two things are very different and very separate. Now Our Lady
requested a consecration of Russia in a very solemn and public ceremony to
be performed by the Pope with all the bishops of the world. This was
specified in detail by Our Lord Jesus, Who continued to appear to Sister
Lucy, as Our Lady also did. He wanted this consecration to be recognized as
the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary so that she would be honored
together with His Sacred Heart. These are the words of Our Lord, but the
time has passed and the consecration not done and Our Lord is deeply
offended. You see, with our free will we can affect world events.
"Our Lady said the consecration would be
done, but that it would be too late. I feel shivers run down my spine when I
remember the words 'it will be too late,'" the exorcist said in a 2012
interview that only now has come to our attention.
"Unfortunately, they didn't open the secret
up in 1960 and Russia spread her errors all over the world. The conversion
of Russia would have been a triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary," the
priest, now in his eighties, added.
It was an event, said Father Amorth, that would have
changed the world.
"In 1984 the Pope quite timidly attempted to
consecrate the world to Mary in St. Peter's Square," the exorcist told the
organization, which long has argued about Fatima issues. "I was there, just a few feet away from him. I was the
organizer of the event in St. Peter's Square. It was March 25 and the Pope
had the statue of Our Lady of Fatima coming over from Fatima, the statue
that usually stays in the large sanctuary at Fatima. But on that occasion he
wanted the statue there. Kneeling in front of the statue, he attempted the
consecration, but all around him were politicians who told him, 'You can't
name Russia. You can't.' And he asked again, 'Can I name it,' and they
said, 'No, no, no.'"
There are no details from the priest on who the
"politicians" allegedly were, nor any substantiation of what was said and when it was
stated. It is a hot-button issue, with the Vatican maintaining that the 1984
consecration met the requirement (as outlined in the secrets of 1917) and
Sister Lucia herself, in interviews during the 1990s, saying that the
consecration was accepted by Our Lady. The seer asked that those who
disputed this stop.
It also has been pointed out that Communism
miraculously fell immediately after that consecration -- and that Russia
itself appears to some as being in the throes of a Christian revival -- in
some ways more Christian, at least in the public square, than the United
States.
For our discernment. The interview arrives at
a time when an Italian journalist has
released alleged comments from Sister
Lucia in an unpublished diary in which the seer seemingly relates additional
details about the third secret, including a description of huge geologic
events occurring as an angel touches the earth's axis with the flame of a
spear.
It also comes at a time
when others have pointed out that another major request from Fatima -- the
First Saturday devotion -- has never spread in
a significant way, which was another requirement for world peace.
Meanwhile, tensions between Russia and
Ukraine remain a cause for acute international concern.
"Whoever thinks the prophetic message of
Fatima is over deceives himself," asserts the exorcist. "The
apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima are unique in the history of the Church. They have a great influence over the course of human history. They have
religious importance as well as historical significance."
Thus far, mankind has headed down the wrong
road, he believes, as has the Church. "Vatican Two: instead of a
Renaissance, a disaster," intoned the well-known expert on demonology.
"But the end is glorious and in the end
Russia will be converted and the Immaculate Heart will triumph. It hasn't
yet, but it will, and the world will experience a period of peace."
"Before this finale it is probable that man
will suffer some kind of chastisement by God due to the sin and cold hearts.
But we're not facing the end of the world, not as some crazy men are saying.
We're going toward the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart."
The video was dispensed by a group that
staunchly insists three consecrations by
the Vatican have not been valid responses to the request of the Virgin, who
in 1917 had said, "When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know
that this is the great sign given you by God that he is about to punish the
world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the
Church and of the Holy Father. To prevent this, I shall come to ask for
the Consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion
of reparation on the First Saturdays.
"If my requests are heeded, Russia will be
converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors
throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good
will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations
will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy
Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she shall be converted, and a
period of peace will be granted to the world."
How a request meant to forestall what turned
out to be World War Two is still relevant is a matter of debate. The tragic
war is now a chapter deep in history.

If any Catholic seeks an in-depth explanation of the on-going
madness in Gaza, he should read Moses in the Old Testament. For
instance, if the Israelites do not keep the commandments of God, they
will be stricken with “madness and blindness and fury of mind” (Deut.
XXVIII, 28), among many other curses. As Fr Meinvielle said, the Jews
are a theological race, and they cannot escape their theological destiny
– they are bound to God like no other people on earth.
In Deuteronomy
Moses is giving to the Israelites their last solemn instructions before
they enter the Promised Land, and before he dies. In Chapter 28
(parallelled by Levit. XXVI) Moses makes very clear the mind of Jehovah
(or Yahweh), the God of the Old Testament, identical with the God of the
New Testament: the Jews will be specially blessed (v.1–14) if they obey
the one true God, they will be specially cursed (v. 15–68) if they
disobey him. Either way, they are a
special race being given a special knowledge of the one true God for a
special mission that they must fulfil for him, with a special reward or
punishment from him, depending on how they fulfil that mission.
No
wonder Jews think they are special! Among the blessings listed here by
Moses, God will raise them “higher than all nations” (v.1); “to be a
holy people unto himself” (v.9); to be “the head and not the tail”
(v.13). But in every one of these three verses it is noteworthy how
Moses makes the Israelites’ superiority depend on their obedience to
God: if they will “hear the voice of God and keep all his commandments”
(v.1); if they “hear his commandments and walk in his ways” (v.9); if
they will “hear the commandments of God and keep and do them” (v.13).

On
the other hand if the Israelites try to be that superior nation on
their own terms, disobeying God (v.15), then a multitude of curs
es will
come upon them (v.16–68), and they will be scorned, hated and trampled
upon by all other nations: they will be “scattered throughout all the
kingdoms of the earth” (v.25); they will be stricken with “madness and
blindness and fury of mind” (v.28 – think of Gaza!); the stranger with
whom they live will “rise up over” them, he will be the head and they
will be the tail (v.43–44); their enemy will put an “iron yoke” upon
their neck (v.48); the Lord God will afflict them with all kinds of
sufferings (v.59–61), and they will be “taken away from the land which
they will go in to possess” (v.63). And all of this they will suffer
because of not keeping and fulfilling the words of God’s law (v.58).
Alas,
did all these blessings and curses announced by the great Moses avail
to make the Israelites recognize and serve their Messiah and Incarnate
God when he came, as also prophesied by Moses (D
eut.
XVIII, 15–18)? No, they crucified him instead, which has for now nearly
2000 years brought down on their heads all of Moses’ curses. They made
themselves into the most despised and downtrodden nation on earth, and
they lost their right to the Promised Land, being driven out and
scattered everywhere else from the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.
Nor
does their regaining possession of the Holy Land mean that the curse is
being lifted, because they are doing it on their own terms and not on
God’s, so that the very re-possession turns into part of the curse. As
Plato said (Georgias), it is better to suffer than to commit an
injustice, and therefore in spiritual reality, the Israelis are more to
be pitied than the Palestinians. Patience. We “all have sinned and do
need the glory of God” (Rom. III, 22–23).

More vague talk from the Neo-SSPX. We consistently hear from the Neo-SSPX, that the objective material we present, is either "rumors", hearsay" or just "internet gossip". Ultimately, it is simply, a futile attempt to impotently defend against the"known".
Some readers of these Comments no doubt objected to the reference
made last week (EC 370) to the “Resistance” presently making “little
apparent headway.” They might have preferred a valiant call to arms. But
we must stay real. For instance, when the Traditional diocese of Campos
in Brazil fell back into the arms of Newrome back in 2001, did not
several of us say that out of some 25 priests formed in Bishop de Castro
Mayer’s school, at least a few would break ranks? Yet not one of them
has gone independent since then to continue defending Tradition as
Campos had always defended it, and so all of them are more or less on
the neo-modernist slide. However, if we do stay real, there is not
nothing to be said.
In Following with Vatican II modernism based upon the "new theology" Francis is slated to have arranged for an "interfaith" soccer match to help promote "peace" in these very turbulent times. Now, one must ask "what peace does he speak of? Is it the peace in which the world gives or the peace which Christ gives which only comes about when true conversion takes place? I must remind everyone that Vatican II's "new doctrine" of false ecumenism does not entail conversion. So then I ask, "If there is no need to convert to Christ's Catholic Faith then how can true peace be wrought? This is more propaganda which is being laid down for the soon Apostate Church, a "Church" free of Dogma and imprisoned by "secular humanism" that Our Lady has been warning us about for hundreds of years. We cannot expect anything less from NewChurch but we can continue to wake up the masses to the deception in our days. Watch and pray(Mk 13:33)! Set to take place at 8:45 p.m. local time on Sept. 1 in Rome's Olympic
Stadium, the match will draw together past soccer players who represent
different cultures and religions, including Buddhists, Christians –
Catholic and Protestant – Jews, Hindus, Muslims and Shintos. The Masonic sect teaches convergence and coexistence; the Catholic Churchrightly teaches conversion. Unfortunately, man is going to find out very shortly that this silly notion of "world peace" ends in sudden destruction.

Fr. Annibale Bugnini, CM, was a priest of the Congregation of the
Mission, an institution founded by St. Vincent de Paul (hence the
epithet Vincentian) to preach the Gospel to the poor, as its motto, “evangelizare pauperibus”
indicates. In 1947, a scandal arose in the residence where Bugnini and
his and co-worker, Fr. Francesco Bossarelli, CM, lived in Rome at the
Church of San Silvestro al Quirinale, which belonged to the Congregation
of the Mission.
Inside the murky world of San Silvestro: the ‘Bossarelli Case’
Bugnini and Bossarelli had been close collaborators, running the
Congregation’s affairs at San Silvestro and editing its missionary
publications, Edizioni Liturgiche e Missionarie.
Records from the Vincentian archives show that in 1947 Bugnini, as Secretary
of the Congregation’s Provincial Council, was in charge of its
administrative affairs when millions of dollars of Vatican funds went
missing.
Bugnini and Bossarelli plotted from the the Church of San Silvestro al Quirinale in Rome
A special Commission set up by Pius XII found that Fr. Francesco
Bossarelli “and his associates” were guilty of embezzling $2,000,000
belonging to the Vatican in “black market financial dealings.”
The Provincial Superior at San Silvestro was dismissed by the Holy See
for covering up the affair. Bugnini must also have had confidential
knowledge of these criminal activities, a situation from which he could
not have emerged with clean hands.
Hiding behind a shield of secrecy
Unknown to Pius XII, Fr. Bugnini had been making clandestine visits to
the Centre de Pastorale Liturgique (CPL), a progressivist conference
centre for liturgical reform which organized national weeks for priests.
Inaugurated in Paris in 1943 on the private initiative of two Dominican
priests under the presidency of Fr. Lambert Beauduin, it was a
magnet for all who considered themselves in the vanguard of the
Liturgical Movement. It would play host to some of the most famous names
who influenced the direction of Vatican II: Frs. Beauduin, Guardini,
Congar, Chenu, Daniélou, Gy, von Balthasar, de Lubac, Boyer, Gelineau
etc.

It could, therefore, be considered as the confluence of all the forces
of Progressivism, which saved and re-established Modernism condemned by
Pope Pius X in Pascendi.
According to its co-founder and director, Fr. Pie Duployé, OP, Bugnini
had requested a “discreet” invitation to attend a CPL study week held
near Chartres in September 1946:
“I had a visit from an Italian Lazarist, Fr. Bugnini, who had
asked me to obtain an invitation for him… During our return journey to
Paris, as the train was passing along the Swiss Lake at Versailles, he
said to me: 'I admire what you are doing, but the greatest service I can
render you is never to say a word in Rome about all that I have just
heard.'”
Much more was involved here than the issue of secrecy. The person whose
heart beat as one with the interests of the reformers would return to
Rome to be placed by an unsuspecting Pope in charge of his Commission
for the General Reform of the Liturgy.
The plot thickens
But someone in the Roman Curia did know about the CPL – Msgr. Giovanni
Battista Montini, the acting Secretary of State and future Paul VI –
who sent a telegram to the CPL dated January 3, 1947. It purported to come from the
Pope with an apostolic blessing. If, in Bugnini’s estimation, the Roman
authorities were to be kept in the dark about the CPL so as not to
compromise its activities, a mystery remains. Was the telegram issued
under false pretences, or did Pius XII really know and approve of the
CPL?
What is certain is that Fr. Bugnini could not have been appointed as
Secretary of the 1948 Commission without Msgr. Montini’s intervention
with Pius XII, as it was the Secretary of State who, in the normal
course of Vatican affairs, had the biggest say in forwarding names for
papal appointments.
Sow Bugnini, reap corruption
Card.. Bea, confessor of Pius XII, won the Pope to the cause of the reforms
As history has shown, appointing Bugnini as Secretary of the Liturgical
Commission was the equivalent of placing Dracula in charge of the blood
bank. This monstrous figure was allowed to assume complete control of
the Commission and to work against a centralized control of the liturgy
vested in the Curia.
His ultimate foe was the Congregation of Rites, which had been founded
by Pope Sixtus V in 1588 to safeguard the uniformity of the Roman Rite.
He complained that “for centuries the Church willed that all worship in
the Roman Rite should everywhere show perfect uniformity.”
His objective was to smash “the hegemony of the Congregation of Rites.” Soon it would be reduced to a tin pot army incapable of defending
the realm of the Church’s worship against his policy of “inculturation.”
Then, it would be abolished by Paul VI in 1969.
Fr. Bugnini informs us in his posthumous memoirs that the Commission met
in “absolute secrecy.” The result was that not even the Pope could be
certain of its deliberations. The only updates he received were relayed
through biased intermediaries: Msgr. Montini whose own credibility was
bound up with the reforms and Fr. Augustin Bea, a member of the
Commission, who had already been permitted by Pius XII to dabble in
liturgical matters and break with Tradition.
Bugnini stated: “The Commission enjoyed the full confidence of the Pope,
who was kept informed by Msgr. Montini, and even more so, weekly, by
Fr. Bea, the confessor of Pius XII. Thanks to this intermediary, we
could arrive at remarkable results, even during the periods when the
Pope's illness prevented anyone else getting near him.”
The reason for the secrecy was not hard to find: Fr. Bugnini’s agenda included liturgical deviations condemned by Pius XII in Mediator Dei, even though he could not introduce them all immediately. In the light of this collusion, the Novus Ordo
of 1969 was simply the end game of a decades-long strategy masterminded
by Fr. Bugnini with Msgr. Montini acting as his personal consigliere and “Grand Vizier” to Pius XII.
The hermeneutic of ‘Bugninuity’
One of the most objectionable characteristics of Bugnini was his
capacity for deception. He crossed his heart and swore repeatedly that
he was carrying out the wishes of Pope Pius X and following the
tradition of the Council of Trent in overhauling the liturgy. His
self-declared aim was to return the liturgy of the Roman Rite from a
“dark age” of unintelligibility to “worship in spirit and truth” in
which all could actively participate.

This agenda was set out as early as 1949 in the Ephemerides Liturgicae, a leading Roman review on liturgical studies of which Fr. Bugnini was Editor from 1944 to 1965.
First, he denigrated the traditional liturgy as a dilapidated building (“un vecchio edificio”), which should be condemned because it was in danger of falling to pieces (“sgretolarsi”) and, therefore, beyond repair.
Then, he criticized it for its alleged “deficiencies, incongruities and
difficulties,” which rendered it spiritually “sterile” and would prevent
it appealing to modern sensibilities.
It is difficult to understand how, in the same year that he published
this anti-Catholic diatribe, he was made a Professor of Liturgy in
Rome’s Propaganda Fide (Propagation of the Faith) University.
His solution was to return to the simplicity of early Christian
liturgies and jettison all subsequent developments, especially
traditional devotions.
These ideas expressed in 1949 would form the foundational principles of Vatican II’s Sacrosanctum Concilium. For all practical purposes, the Roman Rite was dead in the water many years before it was officially buried by Paul VI.

If we are to truly advance in the spiritual life we must enter within first to identify our own weaknesses.for it is written that throughst my weaknesses I
would arrive at Your Strength. Therefore, exalting, my own unworthiness, I
arise in the power of thy Selfless Love which come from Thy Sacred Heart. It is sown in weakness; it shall rise in
power. 1 Corinthians 15:43In so far
as I am willing to allow myself to be “crushed” via my daily crosses is to the
degree that I will obtain His heavenly strength. For a fine wine is only produced
after the grape is crushed and so too it is with our battle against “the self”. It is
not by my own strength that I live nor do I have the power alone to choose when
I die. No eagle flying in the sky flies by his own strength. Modern men are rabbits running to and fro but going nowhere in their horizontal limited view. From our end, we
must be vehicles of faith and hope, which “rests” upon the Wind of God, so that
we may arise not only above the storm but to to the Son who is our Source and End
Verily, who is this man who can identify
his own weakness? It is the man of prayer who longs for the Isle of silence and
solitude; it is the man not tied down to earthly affairs for his heart belongs
to thee Beloved. Therefore, the more I stay inward and am in prayer the more
humble I become recognizing my own wretchedness and shortcomings. Yea, it is
the Hands of Christ which shapes and molds us not our own. For He who dwells
above us seeks to dwell in that which He hast created in great mystery. His humble Sacred Heart hast
shown us the way, in so that, in His weakness am I made strong. “…the weakness of God is stronger than men.”
1 Corinthians 1:25It is due to man’s
fallen nature I arrived in this world a stained pilgrim in exile but through Christ I am cleansed. But why do so many chose to live in and by nature alone? For God’s Love is perfect and
my nature which “tends” to self is weak, therefore, we worry, have fear and
doubt, which ultimately becomes an act of the heart not suited for any believer. “And I was with you in weakness, and in
fear, and in much trembling. 1 Corinthians 2:3 We were meant for the skies as eagles not
the cliffs where so many remain in trepidation! Yea it is the Divine Hands
which guide; it is He who can only live when I first learn to die. Man’s measure is not Gods and therefore we
must quit trying to please the world and man. We must embrace the lowliness of
His Heart and allow ourselves to not only“lower” the self but to get rid of her altogether. If our hearts do not remain "below" our neighbor then how can we serve our neighbor. And if, after examination of conscience, I cannot be
lower than my neighbor, of what good use can you be for God and for thy
neighbor? This is the Law of Selfless Love.
Nay, ‘we obtain” when we first learn that
earthly gain can be an impediment to our ultimate goal. When all things are
soon taken from us we shall still have our faith and hope and our eyes of
charity! We can truly rebuild society and make Christ King of all Nations when
we first learn we are limited creatures which cannot fly or arise to the bright
blue skies above without the assistance of Gods grace. Therefore, start in your own communities. My ‘gain” in all things
is to please Him and therefore when I seemingly lose “material” goods how do I
really "lose" when this pleases Him? And how so, you ask? This is yet another
opportunity for a man to be stripped in so that he will now be "low enough" to
embrace those heavy crosses which crush “the self” out of the soul. It is He
who left heaven, who left it all, on the account, that I may have all, Who is
Him. Is there no greater Love; is there no other more poetic scene of poverty
and humility and yet we on a daily basis gloat. May God have mercy upon my own
soul! Mayst your own heart exclaim; “In Him I am filled, I am content with
nothing at all in earthly gain, so as to keep these potential impediments from my progress
toward His Sacred Heart! Let us pray for those daily graces thru the Immaculate
Heart so that we might penetrate our own souls in “self knowledge”; so that we
may have the scales from our inner eyes removed like Saul. We are weak, my
friends,but He who gave all asks the
question, "Do you give your WHOLE heart to Me for My good use?" May God forgive
us when we ignorantly or obstinately do not allow Him to take ownership over
our whole being. Amen May thee Immaculate Heart of Our Lady guide, protect
and guard your heart everyday in this exile, Ave Maria – Amen.
